most interviewers: "whens the next project coming?" Anthony: "how do you perceive yourself as a person? what is your meaning on this earth? how do you think people view you as a human and does that match what you want them to see?"
I'd honestly take those questions rather than "what's next" cause if I just finished a project, why do you expect me to immediately plan something big? And If I did, it would just spoil the surprise and ruin the hype
man i fucking love this guy. so passionate, so naturally talented, yet so personable, humble and unassuming. just a rly uniquely special kid and def an artist to keep an eye out for
Quadeca is a special kind of RUclips rapper to me because it seems he has his feet firmly in both roles and there's a good synergy. He shows his growth and the audience is there to see the growth. I like that he stays open minded to critique and has really been trying to work on his music. Your Sisyphus track review is what got me to listen to his music. I knew him from other videos before I knew about his music where he was making random people come together to be a rap group in a video series. Good stuff musically and content wise.
I've seen him around RUclips a lot, and he seems like a genuinely good person. I probably will check out his project it looks pretty good tbh. Also congrats on the new nose, Quad.
@@noble1040 Yeah I like to play full albums, I'm definitely starting with FMTY as his growth as an artist seems pretty evident. I'm sure his older stuff is good and has charm but yeah.
Not gonna lie. I didn't like quadeca's new album for a little bit. But after a while it grew on me and I started appreciating how emotional this album is. If it was. Idk, I felt like the vibe changed after voice memos. Now I'm liking it more than voice memos. I think my favorite track off the album so far is "it's all a game".
I went and listened to some of the songs. They're OK, not terrible, maybe not my style per se. He seems energetic and looking to evolve, so there's that.
Here on RUclips Anthony‘s influence on the perception of artists is significant - yet as much as I like him I do hope that artists won‘t tie their confidence to his ratings. Yes, he tries to be as objective as he can be but in the end music is a very subjective medium. Also he reviews albums in the context of his vast knowledge which isn’t a factor for the majority of listeners. Songs that sound fresh to me might be derivative of a bunch of artists‘ work yet that doesn’t impact my experience as much as it would Anthony’s. Don‘t take any reviews as gospel - except when they agree with the opinion you had anyway, of course!
The defensive thing quadeca was talking about is 100% right pretty much everything I do I always say it’s worse or I expect to do worse because that prevents the “let down” if it happens
