OH. MY. GOD! .... I made this dish tonight. I made those noodles from scratch and followed your recipe and was LITERALLY blown away at how wonderful this dish. I paired it with a Viognier and that made it even better. Thank you so much and this is truly what the internet is for. Your videos are amazing and like the comments below a treasure. God bless you and your entire familia! 🍷🙂👍
Last year I lost my mom due to Heart complications from the MRNA vaccination. Today would have been her birthday. She loved watching your videos. I think she had a crush on you. I used to sit and watch them with her and my dad when he was still here. This is a very tough day for me. But I'm watching this video right now in her memory. And I appreciate that it's here. Thank you.
I came across this channel a few weeks ago. I love that Pasquale uses ingredients that are either already in my kitchen or can readily be found at the local supermarket.
I love this channel so much, it's my first time watching your video and now I am falling in love with your video, friend, please keep up more, thanks so much for your sharing😋👍😍❤️
So my grandfather, named Joseph used to celebrate St. Joseph Day every year what a feast it was. Thank you for bringing back all of those memories ❤I watched your video with tears in my eyes !
Another simple and delicious meal my nonna use to make this brings me good memories you are always a joy to watch chef definitely going to make this take care
St. Joseph, may have used the bread crumbs from the blessed Virgin Mary's fresh baked Matzah at Passover, and thats a why it tasty so good; St. Joseph pray for us.
Chef I never saw this recipe made this way. It looks delicious. My mother is from Sicily and she used to make it with Sardines, fresh Fennel Garlic and toasted bread crumbs. I'm going to try your version on March 19th. Thanks, Perry
Beautiful !! I got Bread for St Anthony's Day & my brother got pastries for St Joseph. I always used to say, " why only bread " for me & no pastry, so now I'll use this recipe for me & say , it's for St. Anthony's day .😅 This is one of the dishes I had on Christmas eve also. Thanks for sharing
I grew up in an American/ Italian home and to this day I’m still learning of a new pasta shape I’ve never seen before. Will try to find some cause it looks like it’s delicious holding sauce. If not I’ll try it with lasagne pasta as a substitute
Mafalde is my favorite pasta. Not every store carries it. For March 19th St. Joseph Day we always made pasta con le sarde or known as pasta milanese with fennel. We use perciatelli pasta for that.
Ciao Mr. Sciarappa.....When my Grandmother made this, she also used finocchio (fennel) in her recipe. This was how it was usually prepared in Sicily and Southern Italy.
We make something for St. Joseph's Day with spagatini, bread crumbs cooked wild Fennell and grated parm or mozzarella and marinara..we call it Pasta Milanese. s
I adore anchovies, someone said grandma put fennel and another person said they put raisins. Sounds like I'm putting all 3. Hope I can wait until March 19th. 😊😊😊😊
I have a question for the chef or anyone really. When cooking for those with a sodium restricted diet (2K mg per day), how does salt in pasta water play into sodium content in the meal? I realize anchovies are salty, along with olives or capers when doing other pastas like puttanesca. Those I think can be measured (and rinsed) for the most part. Does the salt in pasta water come into play as well?
So it looks like the pasta water one adds to the skillet doesn't have to be the foamy part. I was led to believe that on another show but no biggie. I'll start doing it your way, Pasquale.
Pasquale you are an Italian treasure!
Anything with anchovies is always delicious!!

That looks fantastic Chef, thank you! You can add actual sawdust by substituting the Pecorino cheese for Kraft grated parmesan cheese!
Today on the feast of St. Joseph, I made your lovely pasta!!! Thank you! It was so fun! (I messed up a bit, but I’ll do better next time!)
I hope you enjoyed!

Making it for the Feast of St. Joseph.

Hi Chef. This looks like a tasty pasta. Thanks for sharing. Blessings.😊
Yumm
Nice recipe will try it. Hey you had no wine today
Very interesting dish, Pasquale ❤️
I love your videos! stay healthy, safe, and happy always ❤️ 💖 💙 💕
Great dish. Make sure not to overheat the anchovies or they get bitter. Probably add the garlic first, then the anchovies.
I make that with bottarga instead of anchovies, but I will definitely make it this way also!

Do it! You really don't taste anything fishy when they melt down. They just add salt and umami.
San Guiseppe, pray for us!!
I adore anchovies, someone said grandma put fennel and another person said they put raisins. Sounds like I'm putting all 3. Hope I can wait until March 19th. 😊😊😊😊
♥️♥️♥️
What All-Clad pan is that? Not meaning the stock pot....the skillet/lg saucier looking one.
I must mange this... Do at Joseph zeppoles !
What about the St Joseph's pasta with the sardines and the fennel
Thank you my friend, have made me a better cook.
Hey Pasquale , that mafaldine looks just like Saint Joseph's band saw blades .....

Oh Yeah...Baby !😎

Are you using extra virgin oil to cook with?
So it looks like the pasta water one adds to the skillet doesn't have to be the foamy part. I was led to believe that on another show but no biggie. I'll start doing it your way, Pasquale.
What brand of stove do you cook on? Love your show!!
Make a St Joseph Sfingi.
