    Hi Colleen, it’s Roberta, words fail me you are the best. What would this group do without you. This video is amazing. Now it’s my turn to stay up all night pondering on what can I do next to my wigs😀.
    You are by far the SUPERSTAR of this group. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It’s 7:24 am and I planned to do some cleaning on this rainy day. Weeelll, now who cares about cleaning. Time to check out which wig I can transform. Luv ya, 🥰🥰🥰🥰

      Thank you so much for your wonderful Complements and you are very welcome! thank you for being patient with me as I'm trying to learn how to post these on RUclips and not bore you to pieces. I look forward to seeing your transformation. Remember to take before and after pictures, even if they are just on manikins or laying on a table! Because it will help others see what you did

    Great video Colleen, glad I found you. What's a good root color for a gray wig?

    • @WigsGlam
      @WigsGlam  5 месяцев назад +2

      I personally do not like at all the L'Oreal root sprays!!!! I find them to be too sticky hard to control where you're putting the color and for the life of me I can't get it washed out of a wig that I ruined……… so I would start with eyeshadow colors until you can find one that you like. And you can just put it on with a make up brush or even a Q-tip. To get a little bit more depth with eyeshadow, you can even get it wet to apply it. Then if you want to go a little bit more permanent, I like to use alcohol markers such as Copic (and they have several gray colors to choose from ) also masters artist at Hobby Lobby, I believe has gray colors to choose from. Also, if you're wanting gray. And dark brown looks very good and natural as well. . and I have a video about that. I hope that helps. Have a wonderful evening.❤️❤️

    I love what you've done....can you suggest a color to do a rather heavy highlighting on a too dark brown, almost black synthetic wig? It cannot be returned, clearance item.

    • @WigsGlam
      @WigsGlam  8 месяцев назад +1

      I wish I could. I have tried and tried, and I can't find anything that will highlight a dark color without it looking nasty.... I tried blonde root spray, which just makes it tangled and awful, and does not look good. I also tried blonde dry shampoo just makes it look like a powdered George Washington wig so I haven't found anything at this point. So sorry.

      Thanks for your quick response. I guess this should teach me to not order a wig on clearance unless the color swatch is big enough for a true look. I will try to sell but that's quite an undertaking; getting tired of donating my mistakes. Keep up the good work!

      @@karenotlowski9071 yes I totally understand because I've got a closet full of mistakes myself. And trying to take pictures to put it for sale and not trusting people it's kind of scary. So I end up donating a lot.....

      You can also try to slightly add a little bit of chalk markers, and even get them damp for more definition, but they seem to sort of disperse after a while, and you certainly don't want it to look chalky🙄🙄

    Question: have you used these on HD fibers and then washed a few days later?

      I have used them on HD fibers, but I have not washed them

    • @WigsGlam

      And I have only use them at the Very root, so I don't know how these would react with a flat iron

    Since making this, have you come across a good beige or taupe? I'd expect taupe to have a bit of grey, but not beige. Thanks, Colleen!

      Yes, I did! In masters touch from Hobby Lobby you can try WG2, which is a warm gray and also WG5 a smidge darker also warm gray! I hope you can find them. My Hobby Lobby seems to be going out of stock...... have a wonderful day❤️❤️

    Hello, what color would you suggest for a light auburn color, for the root? TY

    • @WigsGlam
      @WigsGlam  2 месяца назад +1

      I suppose that would depend on whether you are a natural redhead and wanting to keep it looking more natural. Or how dark you want the route to be if you want it to be a brunette color.🧐🧐🧐 Some of my favorite brunette colors are masters touch that you can get at Hobby lobby in the colors 92, 98 Chestnut Brown and 99 bronze. Of those three, the 98 is my favorite that I use more often. Or if you have copic markers, I like the E 49 dark bark is my go to for almost every Wig. if you're wanting to stay with more red or auburn colors but make it look like it has a slight root I would maybe try masters touch number 91 natural Oak, but I don't think that would give you much depth it pretty much looks like light Auburn or you could also try number 1 wine red, and I love using that one on my red girls❤❤❤ Let me know how it turns out or if you have more questions

    Hi I wanted to know can I dye a synthetic dark brown wig fully black

    • @WigsGlam
      @WigsGlam  2 месяца назад +1

      If you have enough, black sharpies, you sure can! The color will fade out gently overtime so you may have to touch it up. But in my opinion, I would never ever use black roots spray by Loreal.!!!!!! I feel like that is nasty sticky. I messed up on a wig and did that and I still to this day. Can't get it out with anything I've tried.
      Good luck and let me know how your wig turns out 😃

      @WigsGlam  2 месяца назад +1

      Oh, I should also say people have colored wigs with Rit synthetic dye! I have some sitting here, but I haven't done it yet. So look at different options on RUclips how others do it.

    Where do you find the markers?

    • @WigsGlam
      @WigsGlam  8 месяцев назад +3

      I find Master Touch at Hobby lobby. And Copic Markers used to be at my hobby lobby, but they no longer carry them. So I find them on Amazon. And if you're looking for a specific color number search for that on Amazon.

      Do the markers come out when you wash the wig?

    • @WigsGlam
      @WigsGlam  8 месяцев назад +3

      @@caba32503 I notice a color in the water from them when I shampoo. But none of mine has faded enough to do it again.……… so that being said I would be very careful because I'm not sure how you would get them out except may be using alcohol but I have not tried that so I would just be very careful where you put them in to make sure that's what you want

      After you have dyed the wig, do you wash the wig afterwards? How long do you wait after dyeing the wig to rinse the wig?
