    I’ve heard the A/B (2nd as low over the I triad; e-shape, strings 4,3,2) called the “magic chord” for Steely Dan. One of my favorite sounds. So glad I found this channel. I appreciate the granularity.

    Hello Mr. Fujita, I just saw your performance with Juanes at Boston Orpheum Theatre just 2 days ago and it was great! Your amazing personality and musical talent show on the stage so well and Just Funky is such a fun song. I don't know how you find time to do everything you do for us, but I'm grateful you do. I recently joined Guitar Wisdom and it's helping me make progress again after not so much for a long time. Thank you for your optimism and passion for playing and teaching. Take care! Be kind to yourself! :)

    Tomo, I been studying the natural minor scale and I noticed that the notes are the same as the c major scale, but my question is do they share the same key signature, and if they do how can I tell which tonality I'm playing in?

    • @bruceabbott1819
      @bruceabbott1819 2 месяца назад +1

      Forgot to mention I was studying the A natural minor, thank you

    • @TomoFujitaMusic
      @TomoFujitaMusic  2 месяца назад +1

      Major & relative minor share same key. Key of C Major:
      R M2 M3 4 5 M6 M7
      Minor key in C then:
      R M2 b3 4 5 b6 b7 so.... I need to explain a few things so I will stop here.

    • @TomoFujitaMusic
      @TomoFujitaMusic  2 месяца назад +1

      That case. A B C D E F G A = R 2 b3 4 5 b6 b7
      Share with key of C Major

    • @TomoFujitaMusic
      @TomoFujitaMusic  2 месяца назад +1

      You have two questions in one here.
      1) Learning theory (Study & Practice)
      2) Finding tonality (Performing & Ear Training)
      I think you need to study basic theory and don't think playing too much.
      That will be best part that you will apply theory to playing.
