The cheap-ass packaging after paying £699 (over 900 bucks, your money) is insulting. I like the matte panels, but I can not understand the horribly cheap, shiny plastic centre column. The Pro is also notably louder than a standard PS5. I gotta be honest. My time spent with the Pro is neither impressed or massively disappointed. You could say it's mid. The games are essentially fidelity modes at 60fps. The most impressive looking game is Horizon Forbidden West and it doesn't even use PSSR. I'm glad I will be playing superior versions on my PS5 Pro. But if I hadn't traded in a console to soften the blow of buying it. I would have buyers remorse.
I have a 4K TV that does only 60 FPS with no VRR option, so for me, the PS five pro would be a big waste of money . I stick with my PS five digital until the PS six comes out. And I think I’ll definitely get a gaming monitor that does Over 120 FPS next time.

Well each to their own. I can definitely see a difference. I think people are expecting way too much. This is mid gen refresh, not a next gen console. The whole point of this console is to give you the fidelity mode visuals with 6Ofps and so far I'm getting that. Tried Jedi Survivor, both Horizons, Life of PI, F124, Spiderman 2, God of War, Dragons Dogma, Crew Motorfest, Stellar Blade, FF7 Rebith plus many others I have noticed a differnce in every game that has been Pro Enhanced. Yes, some games have better implementation of PSSR than others. Its nice to go back and play games that I haven't played in a while that look and peform better. Plus I dont see why people are saying there are no games to play... I have never got around to playing Liies of P, Lords of the fallen, F1 24, Dead Island 2, Star Wars Otlwas, Dragon Age Veliguard, FF7 Rebith only played 2 hrs on my PS5, waited for the Pro. Despite the price, I'm getting what I wanted higher res at 4K 60 fps. PSSR will only get better as time goes along as its AI.... Xbox fanboys cherry picking games like FF16, Edlen Ring and others that haven't even been patched to push their own narrative. PC channels with there constant PC build comparisons. Yet not mentioning games that haven't been patched like Refantasia and others that run at locked 60fps Make it make sense. Every piece of hardware is not perfect. There are issues with PS5, Series X, PS5 Pro and PC. Just be happy whenever you play and stop telling people how to vote with their own wallets.
Good points there in fairness. Although a lot of the criticism for PS5 Pro has come from the PlayStation community, not Xbox. Many PS5 gamers seem annoyed that Sony have released a Pro. The thing is, you don't have to buy it and you're happy with your PS5 then it's all good. I don't play a lot of console games these days, but if I was to buy a PS5 I'd buy the Pro. It's not such a bad price when you consider the extra TB of storage in my opinion.

Played FF7 Rebirth on my PS5 Pro and found the upgrade is a joke. They did nothing except PSSR upscaling and now the object and texture pop-in issues are even more pronounced. Very disappointing to say the least. Hopefully we will get better enhancements in the near future with new game releases.

I got to play 12 hours of Stellar Blade and it's phenomenal! The only thing I don't like is the WFi 7 Adapter has issues if you don't have a 6Ghz router. Sony needs to fix this.

We still have plenty of time. There’s going to be a lot more games coming. The fact that I don’t have to sacrifice the image quality anymore I’ll happily take that.
I’m still waiting on mine to arrive . It’s supposed to get delivered today . I bought it more for the games that are coming than the games that are already out , although I never played Stellarblade or Wukong yet . They’ll be the first 2 games I play on the system.

I have to say PS5 pro is definitely worth it if you have a 4K 120hz VRR display or TV. Spiderman 2 witb PSSR is game changing. I was amazed at the visuals. RUclips compression cant show the differences, you have to see it in person. Happy with my purchase when i was skeptical with the "only" 16.7 tflops. Yes i know TFs isnt everything but for $850 dollars buying a disc drive i expected more. PSSR is the future.

That's a fraction of this video. I have a 4080. PSSR really is great. It does bridge a big gap. 70-80fps is what I've been experiencing, meaning there's plenty of head room for more and devs to implement the new pro tech. Again, this is coming from someone who owns a high end pc.

@DETERMINOLOGY PSSR is an upscaler. Meaning resolution. How do you think this will boost the framerate? GTA is throttled by being extremely CPU driven. This system has the same exact CPU as the base unit. If the base unit can not run it at 60, neither can this. That should be obvious.

Stellar blade is better in pro mode high frame rate because it used pssr and pro max still used fsr
