That’s correct….I’m 58 and never would have surgery on my face and I look young…..I use glycolic home peels and exfoliate all the time. Good cucumber/caffeine gel eye cream….skin regime is more important Then can put some soft make up on….I honestly think women look worse with plastic surgery. Sad thing is young girls are having it done all time now…of course I’d love not to have heavy eyelids ..but I’m almost 60……I’m grateful to just be alive and happy.
This had to be Sharon's third facelift! There's just so much the body can tolerate. She looks like she either had lip implants or filler and they look horrible. I live in a major city and I see these women walking around and I would rather have lines and wrinkles than these "new" faces.
I thought she had already had at least 1 facelift so was wondering why she’s acting so dismayed by the immediate outcome since I’m sure she’s well aware of what to expect. Maybe like a preemptive strike to everyone reacting to yet another cosmetic surgery.
As an RN who's worked with reconstruction and cosmetic surgery patients I can say this surgeon is extremely thorough and very educational for anyone seeking any number of the different cosmetic procedures out there! DEFINITELY research your surgeon before deciding!
My mom was waiting in the ER once when a doctor burst through the door and yelled at the people in the waiting room, “ If anybody ever wants to put threads in your face, run away as fast as possible.” Apparently a woman came in with a severe infection from her “thread lift”. He was furious.
Interesting. It makes me angry when people go overseas to have plastic surgery and when the infections set in they go to A&E for treatment, taking time from other deserving patients.
This is just one out of thousands of experiences. That said this is no time to go to someone not thoroughly trained as well as experienced. Why do I feel the need to rebut? Because I've had them done very successfully by a skilled trained professional conscientious of sanitation practices, for one thing. TIA!
It does amaze me why a basically attractive older woman would want to mess around with her face. I guess its insecurity plus the desperate need to 'look acceptable'. And it is so dangerous & expensive...my grannies untouched face was still absolutley beautiful well into her 70s and 80s. Her wrinkles were like a lovely poem to a purposeful, gentle, long life lived. 💜🌱
When your face is on camera, it is required to be perfect. That's an expectation. The few people who can get away without that requirement are the ones who own their now networks. Oprah ! au natural........I just watched last night some little video of Katie Couric who was having a dialogue with someone. I had to look over and over again and finally that large mouth of hers and her voice, gave her up. She is evidently no longer on any regular show, she is no doing anything. Very hard to recognize her and she also seems to have gained some weight. Hard to believe.......I was in shock. I did not expect that natural look to be so......common. I tried not be too critical.
@@linanicolia1363 it's ironic that the ugly side of entertainment is this ridiculous obsession with perfection. How thin and shallow that is. It's a great shame.
One piece of advice from someone who has had several procedures, but not my face. Choose a surgeon that specializes in the part of the body you want to improve. Don’t go to a surgeon who specializes in breast augmentation to do your face and vice versa. Look at the before and after photos and ASK if there is a patient that has had your same surgery that is willing to show you their breast, butt, arms, etc. I found the best surgeon and could NOT be more pleased. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do you mean ask if they have a patient who is willing to meet you IRL? I went to a fancy French doctor once, lots of press, well known, asked him a few of those questions that you are ‘supposed’ to ask and he got in a huff said “you have to trust me!” then said go away and think about it then , if you are not sure.. and when I came back shortly after with the form signed- he refused to treat me! And it was just for Botox and fillers, and I was a bit nervous as I’d never had it before.. doctor jules Nabet that was his name..
@@scarahjolielaide you got away free and should consider yourself lucky! A doctor who is that narcissistic and controlling is not someone you want to touch you - let alone do surgery on your face. Even if he means well, it is unlikely that he can control his unconscious mind and you don’t want someone’s unconscious animosity going anywhere near you!
@@cheryl6smith-mcinnis232 most charge between $50 to $100,000 but he's worth every dime. Save your money use credit cards it your face. I'm used to being attractive and I feel young. He's not the only doctor but the best doctors charge this I trust him total
I'm glad you are pointing out how important it is to be mentally prepared for the recovery. I can only imagine how scary it must be to see your face so swollen post op, having a realistic expectation for recovery just makes the whole process a little less traumatic. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us Dr. Karam!
Had a full facelift two months ago . It wasn’t hard on me mentally because I knew what to expect . What was hard on me was all the judgment from people who thought I should accept “ growing old gracefully “
No chance in hell would I get a facelift. I’ll stick to caring for my face with great products and facial massages I do daily. Stay out of the sun and wear a big hat. Aging gracefully is my motto. Cheers 🥂 to whatever makes you feel beautiful.
Yes, and less-invasive procedures, like microdermabrasion & collagen stimulating RF, are other ways to stimulate a firming effect without choosing the less predictable option of a full face lift, especially for pre-menopausal women.
“Aging gracefully” is a weird take on those who choose surgery. Why is plastic surgery not aging gracefully? And why comment if you aren’t interested in the procedure. It is a weird one-up flex. Not cool.
Hi Milica I totally felt like you until…I hit 60 yrs old….decided to get a face/neck lift….I’m extremely happy…look at my picture I’m 62 yrs old here…worth every penny
@@jodyfro1312 interesting.. I guess having an opposing opinion is no longer allowed or considered flexing? If you want to do all that go for it, I couldn’t careless, I have no desire to do so and have every right to voice my opinion.
This is an excellent video and should be required viewing for anyone even just considering cosmetic facial surgery. I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty from a local clinic. My droopy eyelids were giving me a sleepy look and the bags were really unbelievable. I can attest to everything the doctor said. I called my clinic 3 times in the first 3 days. I couldn't believe what I saw in the mirror and I wasn't prepared. I was certain that I had contracted an infection during the operation. Dr. Karam's timeline is exact... it takes THAT long. I'm only 6 weeks out and I still look like a Picasso painting when I wake up in the morning. Patience and a good mental state are key. Thanks for the very honest and factual video, Dr. Karam.
She had so many facelifts trust me she knows, she is on a talk show and just wants to draw attention to herself.. Few minutes to talk about herself and her family. That's' what Sharon does, turn it in to the Osbourne show the same as on the American show the Talk. Sara Gilbert's show she been hosting and took over, acting as if it was hers. She needs to be the center of attention!!
garssympa, I appreciate you sharing your experience! I inherited under eye bags so I’ve had them my whole life…I even had a consult with a plastic surgeon & he confirmed that it wasn’t fluid-it was just that I had a bit more fat in that under eye area! No amount of ice or caffeine has ever taken them away. Now I’m 52 & my upper lids are starting to droop a bit…I have thought about an upper & lower blepharoplasty & am glad u had a good experience. That makes me feel like it’s worth it:)
I had a lower lift with Blepharoplasty at age 55. It hurt like hell for the first week. I looked strange as one lower lid was droopy, but that was only for a week or two. I was very happy with it. Twenty years later, I’m so glad it did it then. I’d never do it now. I must say, my neck looks great still, my under eye bags never returned. I’m told all the time I look max 60. I’m of the opinion getting it while in middle age is the way to go !
For the life of me I can't imagine going through this. It sends chills through me. But somehow I can see how one can become obsessed with enhancements like this.
I'd feel so safe with this doctor. Easy on the eye too! Could never afford plastic surgery but wouldn't if I could. I look for the heart and soul of a person not the periphery of a person.
Dr. Karam, could you do a video for patients who come from out of state to see you for a facial rejuvenation. Focusing on recommended length of stay what to expect and when they are ready to leave. This situation is different than patients who live or drive to see you. This would be much appreciated. Your work is great. I look forward to being a future patient.
FULLY AGREE! This is your face, girls!! It’s worth the extra money! Save your pennies and spend it on this instead of some stupid purse or fillers. Because I’m a primary care physician, I see all sorts of results and believe me, they are not this good, even the Beverly Hills facelifts. VERTICAL is the only way to go!
Thanks for this video. I’m 58 and have taken care of myself. Due to mast cell activation syndrome and allergies to metals including titanium I would never consider a face lift. But I admire those who do and are happy with their outcome. But with that I am very happy with my face at 58. Many think I am in my late thirties or early forties and so that is good enough for me and I just keep smiling and give thanks.
This was about her 5th facelift. She was mentally prepared and I'm certain had a great surgeon, but you cannot look normal after repeated lifts - one or two, yes.
This physician is THE MASTER! Run, don’t walk to this genius if you are considering a facelift! What idiot would expect NOT to look like they have been hit by a train for at least a month after a facelift?!? They take your face and muscles off of the bone, snip some of it away and sew it back! In what world would you look normal right after that? Of course his results are perfection and I also love Dr Karam because he manages expectations so well. BTW, I am a physician and although I have never seen him, I fully intend to have whatever he suggests when the time comes. He truly is the master and worth the money
@@denisesorenson4000 Really, starting @$65,000? Where did you get those numbers, if I may ask? I would never be able to afford such expensive work to be done. But I sure wish I could!😊He does such amazing work! 👍🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm 55 and had a full face refresh (quilted brow lift, deep plane face lift, neck lift & blepheroplasty. It is life-changing. I feel so much more attractive, possibly than I have ever done. It has inspired me into action in other areas of my life too and has helped with the ongoing internal spriritual and mental work I have done all my life. I'm gay, so in my twenties and thirties I was not confident and certainly did not feel attractive, even though, looking back, clearly I was beautiful. Its not even been six months. I did have some eye asymmetry which was worrying but it is sorting itself out. Big take from this post which I agree with...do your research and trust your surgeon. Trust is hugely important. You have to like and trust your surgeon. It's likely the relationship will continue and it is an important relationship between a healer/therapist and a patient. I've been given a second chance at Sexy!!! ;)
The best Plastic Surgeon out there! I'm 58 years old living in Ventura, CA and looking forward to have a visit with Dr Karim. Thank you Dr. Amir Karim! I'm watching all your videos and I'm very impressed with your work! You are simply the best!
You must be incredible when dealing with your patients with what appears to be an honest and soothing approach. I often watch your videos just out of interest.
Agree 100% that’s imperative to prepare your patient for the healing process. I went through six weeks of anxiety and depression because I wasn’t prepared although I m very happy with the results, but probably I took to many ibuprofen and Tylenol. Something so simple and get dismissed by a professional. I told my Dr that because of my experience I would not suggest to my sisters to go through it…if I could effort it I would go to you but hopefully I don’t need one anymore since I am 65. Great information you’re a great Dr.
SO OUTRGEOUSSLY expensive and as one of you mentions I too wonder why does he need to advertize so much for his procedure if he is SO busy in the operation room???

So in her words she was going for a “routine” facelift. We live in a world where this has become something habitual (and people expect perfect results after multiple interventions). Yeah, ok 🫤
I don't buy that she wasn't prepared!! She has had many prior procedures and unless she has dementia, she should know it's a process. Transitory swelling some unevenness is part of it! Sharon is just a primadona. I've met her and know she is mean spirited to people she feels is below her.
She lives in her own reality where she sees herself as 20 years old woman. She is old and my mother, who hasn’t done anything surgical, looks younger and more natural that she does.
I just happened to see this Doctor as I was scrolling and really appreciate his info. I’m 85 years old and have had surgery under both eyes because the lower lid was turning in and my lashes were scratching my eye ball and surrounding tissue. It was a Godsend to be able to have that procedure. The same doctor did both of them at separate times-about 7 years apart-and did a great job but this doctor helped me to understand the healing time better.
Dr. Karam this was amazing information! Setting expectations & understanding the reality of the healing process is so important. Your work is outstanding, thank you for taking the time to do these videos💖
There are many very honest and frank plastic surgeons. You just have to look around and ask friends ; look for referrals etc.....research to make sure they do not have current litigations against them. You have to shop.
Love your discussions. I had a face lift in 2016 by a really recommended plastic surgeon in Cape Town South Africa ( my home town) after I got his name from someone who had an amazing face lift and although it was painful the first week, the end result was and is amazing. He has a theatre and recovery room in his practice so costs are less and he won’t do anything excessive if he tells a patient the pros and cons. His face lift is done so that it does not look like a face lift, natural lines are still in the face so eventhough you look years younger it looks natural. His Botox is amazing and he won’t give injections which will make the face look odd. He is just the best and I would never go to anyone else in the world. I have absolute faith in this plastic surgeon..
Same. The left side of my mouth (right if you're watching me on video) lags a little more than the other side. Not much, but a little bit. Since we have a ton of mouth muscles, I can consciously move more muscles to even it out, but if I'm not paying attention & neglect to use more of my mouth muscles, you can notice it.
She is a chronic client for plastic procedures. I can't imagine all the times she has been under anesthesia.......He face has to be totally numb....and she cannot likely feel her nose....or anything else......
I really appreciate that Dr Karam shared this video with us: it’s jam-packed with critical information and advice for everyone who is planning on having vertical restoration done I live in Canada, but I would very seriously consider traveling to Dr Karam to have my work done with him.
Cover all of your mirrors and remove reflective surfaces before you go in for surgery and don't take the covers off for at least a week. You will feel so much better because of this move.
I m 50 years . I went to doctor for some botox but he refused and told me : hey look at that you look great you don t need anything what is your secret 🙄 I said nothing. . I was happy to hear his Words
i had a platysma repair - the lower part of the face. I spent years clenching my teeth which further created a look of frowning and lines coming down from the corners of my mouth - my dentist suggested getting botox in the big jaw muscle and that facial plastic surgeon explained the repair. I hated that I looked unhappy or sad. I chose my surgeon wisely and I am thrilled to look like "me" again. I am ok with aging - not ok with looking like someone else! This was a good video - don't expect to look back to normal until a few months have gone by. I am at 7 weeks now and still quite numb in my ears. The only comments I have gotten from people has been that I look like I am well rested.
You did brilliantly. If I may suggest looking into having a balanced mineral diet. That balances hormones and stress. Facial yoga helps you to understand how shallow breathing causes neck and lower face tension. The minerals help you immensely. Our western food has very mineral depleted soils. Investigate what you can do, a lot of supplements are expensive and pointless. Traditional things like Shilajeet are usual in Central Asia. Their collagen and youthfulness is better than ours, except when they live like a westerner. Keep it simple and take your time. You will preserve your beauty.
Excellent talk as always, but here are some things that would be good to talk about: The itchiness that comes with healing and can remain. Scarring and remaining numbness. This is not a reason not to have surgery at all but to go onto it soberly. Keloids. Scars are another matter. I love the fresh honesty you bring about everything . I don't miss one of your videos., Thank you.
My sister saw Sharon Osborn at a bar at the Dorchester. My sister said that she was tiny , slim with lots of wrinkled . On TV they use filters and in photographs so we don’t see what these celebs really look like! Sharon Osborn has had loads of surgeries . She had the one where the surgeon cuts you at the waist and pulls up your skin like a pair of tights - her words! At least she doesn’t lie about having surgery but does lie about her age ! 69 ? Yea bet it’ll take her 5 years to get to 70! The woman is well into her 70s!
Every time I see an actor on TV who has had work done, I am so incredibly sad because the laugh lines which are really one of the most special things about a person get removed. Once those eye lines have gone by, it's like the person is gone and they look like a robot because they can't smile anymore. So sad. I am almost 75 years old and you could never convince me to have any work done on my face. The only exception would be if I needed surgery to close a cut or something like that. I so want to tell people to leave their faces alone and just embrace their natural look. Sorry, doc.
Same here. I'm 69 and funny have any wrinkles. The body showing my age of my neck. Still wouldn't have surgery (although I saw after surgery of a woman much younger than me and the neck work was excellent and took 20 years off her face. But I have no plans to end like Joan Rivers, who looked awful and died trying to look worst.
Obviously you’re one surgeon and there are millions of us that would want your services because you are so talented. Genius. Saying that, what are waiting periods to get in for a consult, surgery? Do you ever refer a local surgeon to the out of state patient? Thank you very much. Love your videos!
One would think Sharon would have the money to get the very best. You get what you pay for. I have noticed that your patients heal faster than any other I have seen. I know where I would go if I wanted to do something to my face. Very good video Dr. Karam.
@Alice but then again, he's only showing the best results of the best. I'd like to see results of EVERY patient. Suppose he's done 10,000 surgeries & only had these 10 w/fantastic results?
Fabulous informative video. I'm 69 but had eyes done in my 40"s ... I ate pineapple (someone told me to) becasue apparently the bromelin(sp?) helps with bruising. Also not taking OTC pain relievers even for botox to prevent bruising
I’ll bet those celebs are the world’s most high maintenance patients. I’m sure the healing process was explained to Sharon Osborne but she refused to listen.
He's correct. I just had a macs lift and do have the hardening and numbness on the sides. However at a month it's already getting better and it's very minimal now. I followed all the advice of my surgeon, took everything he told me. I am trying to keep in mind this is a marathon, not a sprint. These things are all very common, but it can be really scary the first week when you look like a monster. Haha literally. Just expect it and trust your body and surgeon.
Dr. Karam, What you mentioned about having eye surgery without changing the shape of the eyes hit home for me. I've wanted my lowers done since I was in my teen years, but haven't for fear of just that. I don't want to look like someone else. Two doctors I've considered say they aim for that, but have different techniques. One is an ophthalmic plastic surgeon and the other a facial plastic surgeon and I'm not sure how to determine which technique would be best. They both talk about not necessarily removing fat, but repositioning it. I would love if you did a video on this. I'm so tired of looking tired or like I've been crying. Thank you so much.
@@roostercogburn6469 He only has a few years under his belt, but he did reconstruction on one of my eyes for a basal cell near my tear duct and I was happy with that. Probably the one to go with, thanks!

I wish I couls sho him how well it.has aged. Some of what he did LATER I see lifted the area around the area of the nasiolabial fold...that area of my face looks early 40s I am not kidding. I have been so surised how I look better and better as compared with my friends my age. What on earth did he do? No idea. I have had zero other procedures or injections. I do ise Retin A and have for decades. I have a great rhetinologist and opthatmologist team I trust. They do eyelid lift surgery.I am thinking about, having that done to the upper eylids ...after I get cataract surgery.
Slight inflammation and tightness still happens to me after 5 years post op lower facelift/necklift when I'm in humid weather or from certain things I eat/drink (red wine/salty foods). It resolves when the weather cools down or eliminating the food/drink.
I am 70 years old. Had a very nice facelift at 55 years old. I love the results. But it was AWFUL with the recovery process. I never thought of repeating it. Never. But techniques have gotten much better
Her problem is that she's had too many facelifts, period. She looked great after the first and possibly second, but beyond that an individual is skating on thin ice if they venture into another one. Surgeons should say 'no' to celebrities who don't know when to stop.
Gosh yes!!!!!! I have had so much work due to a botched mastectomy. So they harvested my leg fat, abdominal fat etc. each time my body exploded with fluid. I could afford a medical massage once which wasn’t as good as it needed to be but still it helped so much. I have no idea why this isn’t included in the sky high pricing in surgeries of any kind.
I’ve been searching in UK for a while and I found Dr Dominic Bray who only does facelifts, nothing else, and he is absolutely top notch at it. Expensive but the best I’ve ever seen in UK. So natural looking. I’m late 50s, I plan to see him in 5yr.
I'm doing that now (I'm 57). It's ok, but kinda sucks too. I feel 40 but hate looking in the mirror and seeing someone I don't even know. If I were to get this procedure it would be so my face matches how I feel.
@@Mhel2023 I feel if at the age of 57, Im blessed with the health and energy of a 40 yr old, then why put my health at risk. The first week?! My lip filler look crazy for nearly 2 weeks while the swelling goes down, I can’t imagine the trauma of a facelift, I wouldn’t expect to look human for months.
@@jodyfro1312 nope, just tissue trauma varying from person to person. Most injectors won’t advise a client to come back for a touch up for at least a month to make sure all the swelling and bruising is gone.
Everything you said my surgeon told me prior to my rhinoplasty. To me my honker looked huge post op !!! Luckily he had me start taking Arnica Montana prior to my surgery. I can only imagine how much larger my nose would have swelled. He actually was quite pleased after the first few days. I thought really??? Thats because he like you recognize good healing. 😉
Well she does anything to get attention, besides she didn't have a choice since she started her BORING new talk show soon after. It was VERY obvious she had her face done once again!!!
Well she couldn't hide it being she had her new job hosting the UK talk show. I'm sure she had this facelift for that reason and of course the show started being about her. As usual!!!!
Until a 40, 50, 60, 70, year old woman realizes that she will never look 20 again, no matter how many procedures and facelifts they get, they will be happier in their life. Age gracefully ladies.
I had a facelift. I was bruised and wrapped like a mummy. I was also on my own. I had to go to the grocery store by myself. I just told the clerk that I had been in an disfiguring industrial accident.
I prepared/ bought everything possible ( meals/ vegetables/proteins...) before. For at lest 5 weeks. No need to go out. Beside, "delivery" exists in my city. The only think I asked from my friend was to drives me to the clinic at home after surgery. Hope you are OK. Wish you the best.
I understand wanting a plastic surgeon for facial reconstruction after an auto accident, or a burn victim. Those guys are fantastic. My mother got a neck lift in her fifties so that she could look younger, and it caused some nerve damage. These guys are only in it for the money, including this guy.
Yep and there are never honest reviews of surgeon’s poor outcomes because they all cover it up with legal protections. When you sign up for surgery you sign a dozens of pages of contracts that if the surgeon butchers you, you can never reveal his name to the public with bad reviews. The medical world also protect their own colleagues even when they know of bad outcomes. How many surgeons ever lose their license or are in the news for bad skills?….
You have to make the effort. It is do-able. Since you pay them up front, no insurance is involved so it is really your research that will make the difference.
Perhaps in some ppl's minds 69 isn't that advanced an age, but a fundamental problem in face lifting by then is the accelerated bone loss/skull bone shrinkage. The skin drape in tandem will create that pulled up look that makes one think...the problem w/plastic surgery is u look like u had plastic surgery. She chose a rather invasive route given the above, in other words.
You are correct, I have noted that skin draping in people who have not even had any plastic surgery or procedures. The bone loss/reabsorbtion issue is definitely a problem as we “mature”.
I had Mohs surgery for removal of BCC (cancer) from the nose I would not recommend elective surgery to anyone My surgeon was amazing and now the scar is barely visible It took a lot of recovery and 3 surgeries were involved 1 the biopsy 2 growing the graft which was attached under my eye socket 3 covering the hole caused by removal of the cancer Then recovery could begin The area is still sensitive in cold weather but so glad I did it and the cancer has gone and the scar continues to fade
I'm not sure how anyone wouldn't think that major surgery on the face isn't going to make you look like you've been through the meat grinder for at least a few weeks afterwards, I mean there's enough video evidence out there for those who haven't got the imagination and it's not like Sharon hasn't had this done before!
My humble opinion is that people that decide to go thu this never think anything can go wrong , they can't think of a reason why anything would go wrong, now being REALISTIC : we & the doctors are only humans and anything can go wrong , so train your brain to not panic if things don't work out like you expected ! & make yourself miserable with guilt . I'm always positive of what I have. ( healthy & not that old or ugly ) the truth is I'm terrified of knives and needles. I'm perfectly happy the way I am .
I do have to say shame on Sharon for saying this is a mistake on the surgeons part, when she didn’t even give this a year or two before she poked her face out into social media! Is she crazy thinking she’s plastic or something ? and that muscles and nerves and tissue that was just remolded was going to look normal? Look at the results of any face-lift between a month and a year or two. It’s incredible. She just wanted to blame someone so she could come out and play. Dumb. And irresponsible to hurt the doctor’s credentials.
I agree with everything you said. You have described my healing process perfectly… Im guessing that you are not aware that this isn’t Sharon Osbourne’s first rodeo with Facelifts, and she has had several over the years , along with other cosmetic procedures..Sharon has always been open about the work she has had done.
Sharon has always looked great. Why not leave well enough alone. Some people think the more the better. Not necessarily with plastic surgery. I feel so blessed to have inherited my moms genes including her beautiful and youthful skin. She's 88 and has only a few wrinkles and no grey hair, though I like grey hair on some women and wouldn't mind it myself. I just won't have any for quite some time I imagine.
May I just mention - and send this out into the universe - why not avoid the surgery and place the money you would have spent into funds for single parents to attend college, domestic violence legal representation, eyeglasses for the poor and under/uninsured, food pantries to have a refrigerator so the poor can have cold items such as dairy products/salad/fresh fruit, GAS CARDS in this time of $5 a gallon, and maybe even grocery gift cards so they can buy paper products, personal hygiene products like toothpaste and toothbrushes, etc.? There are so many worthy organizations in which you absolutely can change the path of another who needs a little extra help, a hand up, some hope and encouragement. I hope someone reading this will consider donating to help another human being. Thank you. 🙏
Exactly what I believe. These self centred people could do so much to help others . But unlike the religions they profess to believe in., they fail to help their fellow man. Wearing a cross does not mean you are caring or genuinely help your fellow man/woman
I was expecting a more specific review of Sharon Osbourne's outcome after healing. It probably sets the stage for a slander lawsuit if one surgeon puts down another....
This video was so helpful to me, not for facial surgery, but because I had a lumpectomy for ductal cancer in situ...and no one prepared me for how my breast would look post-surgery. This doctor is explaining how long the process of healing from the surgery takes. My oncology surgeon had said she expected my breast would look pretty much the same post surgery, except for a small line where the incision was. She didn't tell me that it would take months or even a year for that to happen, so I have been shocked and horrified at my appearance, post op. It didn't help that I also had an allergic reaction to the steristrips, so at 2 weeks post op, I had blistered scabs, not healing incisions, followed by an infection & seroma. It took 7 weeks to get to fully closed incisions. Things still look odd (scars are very drawn), but no longer horror film material. Had I been prepared, I could have handled it better & been braced for the results, rather than being traumatized. Thank you, doctor, for explaining the process so well! I feel some hope, for the first time in almost 3 months, that I might look somewhat normal, down the road.
All of this sounds good BUT ONE VERY IMPORTAANT info is always missing in your videos : THE PRICE. Please mention how much you charge ( from..to..) for your face lifts. Thank you.

You are so correct
Agree 😊
This is not a human way to look.
I thought she had already had at least 1 facelift so was wondering why she’s acting so dismayed by the immediate outcome since I’m sure she’s well aware of what to expect. Maybe like a preemptive strike to everyone reacting to yet another cosmetic surgery.
Agree
And there’s RUclipsrs doing it on camera!! At home! 🤕🤢
This is just one out of thousands of experiences. That said this is no time to go to someone not thoroughly trained as well as experienced.

Beautifully stated about your precious Grandmother❤
Because she is a horrible individual. Met her once and she was so yucky

Not cool.

Karam.

He is just the best and I would never go to anyone else in the world. i had a platysma repair - the lower part of the face.
Did you end up doing the botox in the masseter muscle before AND after your platysmaplasty? I am curious because I have the same issue.

Her problem is that she's had too many facelifts, period. She looked great after the first and possibly second, but beyond that an individual is skating on thin ice if they venture into another one. Surgeons should say 'no' to celebrities who don't know when to stop.
Have you thought about adding a certified lymphedema therapist to your practice to assist with post op swelling (head and neck MLD)? Just a question.
I was restaurant ready after a week
I can’t imagine how painful and uncomfortable this is. I’d rather age naturally and gracefully when time comes.
Because with surgery there is risk, pain, chronic pain/discomfort for some time or permanent, and how results will be. I'm in my 30s, but as a woman understand how it feels to age. We will all go through it eventually. My mom is 60 and still so beautiful. And she sometimes jokes to get a neck lift and I'm like no way! :)
@@linaa4076 💯 agree!
@@Mhel2023 that's exactly why people do it. Do it if you want. I don't understand why people attach moral judgements to plastic surgery. Live and let live. Buy a new car if you want. Use your old one if you prefer.Ride the bus. Whatever you want to do is up to no one but you.
One day you might decide you'd be happier if you saw your face looking younger. There's nothing wrong with that. I had my nose broken as a kid. I lived with ugliness, teasing and crueltry for years. I couldnt believe how great i looked and felt after i got it fixed. Would i have been morally superior had I lived like that forever? I think not.
Ive had a couple procedures since and it always improves my life. No one is going to appreciate you getting older and uglier. So do what makes you feel happy.
@@deniseshore9637 agree 💯😊
The first week?! My lip filler look crazy for nearly 2 weeks while the swelling goes down, I can’t imagine the trauma of a facelift, I wouldn’t expect to look human for months.
Maybe you had an allergic reaction to the filler.
@@jodyfro1312 nope, just tissue trauma varying from person to person. Most injectors won’t advise a client to come back for a touch up for at least a month to make sure all the swelling and bruising is gone.
If you're lucky you might look like one of the Bogdanoffs for a few months 😎
Knowing the process --for any procedure --is SO important.
Everything you said my surgeon told me prior to my rhinoplasty. To me my honker looked huge post op
!!! Luckily he had me start taking Arnica Montana prior to my surgery. I can only imagine how much larger my nose would have swelled. He actually was quite pleased after the first few days. I thought really??? Thats because he like you recognize good healing. 😉
So glad I am French. We know outer beauty fades; but inner beauty never fades you become more beautiful.
I do have to admire Sharon had the gumption to show the world how bad it looked. A lot of people wouldn't do that due to vanity.
Well she does anything to get attention, besides she didn't have a choice since she started her BORING new talk show soon after. It was VERY obvious she had her face done once again!!!
Ehhh, I can't stand her!
Well she couldn't hide it being she had her new job hosting the UK talk show. I'm sure she had this facelift for that reason and of course the show started being about her. As usual!!!!
what else was she going to do? Hide i think not
Until a 40, 50, 60, 70, year old woman realizes that she will never look 20 again, no matter how many procedures and facelifts they get, they will be happier in their life. Age gracefully ladies.
Bravo! If I could afford facial surgery, I would buy a car, at least I’d know I like the way it looks.
I had a facelift. I was bruised and wrapped like a mummy. I was also on my own. I had to go to the grocery store by myself. I just told the clerk that I had been in an disfiguring industrial accident.
😂 Did he believe you? And were you finally satisfied with your face lift?
@@lise-andree2867 Judging by the picture... no
I prepared/ bought everything possible ( meals/ vegetables/proteins...) before. For at lest 5 weeks. No need to go out. Beside, "delivery" exists in my city. The only think I asked from my friend was to drives me to the clinic at home after surgery. Hope you are OK. Wish you the best.
@@TaxingIsThieving how mean you are. Someone above are 👀 you .
Who cares what a checker thinks?!
You find happiness in your head and heart as soon as you stop trying to please everyone else
I understand wanting a plastic surgeon for facial reconstruction after an auto accident, or a burn victim. Those guys are fantastic. My mother got a neck lift in her fifties so that she could look younger, and it caused some nerve damage. These guys are only in it for the money, including this guy.
Oh now ElisabethTK do you really believe he’s in it for the money $80,000 per facelift LMAO 🤣
If only all plastic surgeons were like this one! A great combination of skill, knowledge, experience and common sense.
It’s impossible to “choose” a surgeon “wisely “ as, just like tradespeople, they can do a shit job on you and a great one for someone else.
Thank you for being so transparent!
I think she looks absolutely beautiful from her procedure.
In the dark or for blind ones definitely! 🤣🤣🤣
She is a beautiful lady
Dr Karam… I need a facelift!!
You have described my healing process perfectly… Im guessing that you are not aware that this isn’t Sharon Osbourne’s first rodeo with Facelifts, and she has had several over the years , along with other cosmetic procedures..Sharon has always been open about the work she has had done.
makes 100% sense. actually she looks amazing. she should be happy by now I hope :-) great explanation
This is what all plastic surgeons should communicate, this doctor is doing their job. Thank you, I wish you would do my face lift.
And this wasn't Sharon's first facelift so she should have been more prepared.
I was just wondering. How many face lifts has she had!! By now, you'd think she'd be tough, physically and mentally!
@@MsJschap I’m fairly sure at least 3
I think Sharon Osbourne just like to throw hissyfits. She likes to talk down to people. I think she was just exercising her mouth of foul language.
Noooo, she has not.
Have u seen pic. S in the early days??
Great info and very sound advise. Thank you.
Advice not advise which is the verb
Sharon should have put her before & after on a billboard ad for her surgeon.
This is a great video!
Thank you.
$100,000 +
It’s on his website
😨😡are you sure? where did you get the $100.000k info from?
The office told me 50,000 without doing eyes
@@katemiller7874 Everyone I know that has gone to him has paid over $100,000, so double check. Though they have gotten dp, not smas, maybe that's the difference ?
