There's wobble to the line in certain situation so the drawing performance is good but not perfect. The bigger issue is the limitation of variety of drawing apps from the Huawei app store.

hot take but i HATE the tapping shortcut on the apple pencil, it always activates when I'm readjusting my grip on the pencil or when I hold it to do a touch gesture.
I also am not a fan. I haven’t accidentally activated it much but I can never get it to activate when I WANT it to. Also, you may already know this but you can turn off that feature in the settings on your iPad
Leonard 33 I’m currently using the iPad Pro with magic keyboard and i can tell you now its probably better than the Mac I’ve had for years, its just so much nicer and having a touch screen as well as a trackpad makes it such a good laptop replacement.
The only reason you should ever buy an iPhone is if you need iMessage. I'm an Apple sheep saying this and I know android is better than iOS in every aspect. However iOS and if you're deep in the ecosystem then consistency is the only good thing. It is nice to take notes on my iPad and instantly have them on my phone and MacBook and even watch
This appears to be the best Android stylus. It has issues when the stylus is tilted, on the edges and it's slower. But it is a step on the right direction, as the gap with Apple's Pencil is getting less.

Androids give you more power and more customisation, for less user friendly interface. However this has massively been changing recently. Hi Teoh! Amazing comparison video as usual! I bought the iPad Pro 2018 12.9 few months ago. When I draw slow diagonal lines in pro create and clip paint I get wavy lines, even when streamline and stabilization options are on, I still get wavy lines when drawing slow or medium speed diagonal lines!! Is this something wrong with my iPad or pencil? Or is it something common with the iPad? Thank you!
That's strange. Apple Pencil should not produce wobbly lines. Have you tested with other apps? It's difficult to troubleshoot because there's just one tablet and stylus.
@@teohontech7141 So it happens, I use a tempered glass screen protector with a paper like screen that I placed above it, however I had to remove the paper like screen since the tempered glass screen took a small hit and broke. I found out that the tempered glass screen protector would cause strange wobbly lines, apparently because of its layers and thickness!! Sadly enough, the paper like screen will not protect the ipad from small knocks, and it really does make the screen blurry and dim the colors :(
@@ibrahimelgeaidy6141 ur hand is simply shaky. Apple pencil is incredibly sensitive so tgey detect simple tremors. I suggest using different brush. Wobbleson a clean ink is more visible than, lets say, hb pencil
@@sppss914 I used the paper like and h9 glass beneath it for protection, just a thought I had and wanted to try and it worked. Fun fact when the screen took a very minor knock the paper like didn't protect the screen but the glass screen protector did. I now use only glass screen, can't sacrifice the color and sharpness quality and I use fast strokes in drawing anyways.
@@Ahmed-Aref no, you just see it being "smoother" a 60hz screen can have like 240hz touch rate and apple pencil has 20ms touch latency. For finger it has 40ms. You to see the line in huawei probs has 50-80ms and no matter if u had 500hz screen it would still come same latency.

Latency is affected by refresh rate. Can you try to bring down the ipad's refresh rate if there is a toggle or try the apple pencil on an older ipad W lower refresh rate?

I wonder if Huawei M pencil is a active stylus or a active capacitive tablet, since it uses a plastic tip? I am getting a huawei matepad 10.4 and I haven't gotten the m pencil as that requires an additional attachment. So I was wondering if apps like Nebo and Wacom paper can use capacitive stylus?
M Pencil is active stylus. Tablet can detect the pen as it hovers close to surface. Nebo and Bamboo Paper can work with all types of stylus, but whether there is pressure sensitivity will depend on the stylus

@@ShardoNight Some note taking apps will have strict palm rejection where they detect only pen input. However if you use capacitive stylus, those will be detected as finger and hence won't be able to write. With the MatePad Pro, you will want to use M Pencil so that the palm rejection will work properly.

Hope this comment goes out to help people out there. If you are purchasing the matepad 10.4 (NOT Matepad Pro!) remember to purchase the M-pencil with external charger, as the Matepad 10.4 itself does not support M pencil charging
no! it is using huaweis tech. apple uses a different protocol for communicating with the stylus and locating where it is on the screen so you have to buy an apple pencil

I have to pay additional 150$ for the repair for a brand new iPad Pro that's still in warranty that's really really annoying. Edit : well yeah that's is my only problem sometimes the services act like a dick but overall quality I think iPad Pro were much more smoother

I bought the iPad Pro 2020, it is great but I recommend you to wait if you will be able to save up until January. If you will be able to save up earlier just buy the 2020. The new miniLED iPad Pro will probably come out in June or in summer time, so it will be 4-5 months later than your complete savings, because it won’t be a great feeling an iPad releasing just after buying the new iPad. Itachi Uchiha frankly, i have a 2020 iPad Pro and I love using it for sketching, concepting, note taking, and basically anything i would usually use my macbook for other than Glyphs, Illustrator and Ae, but not the iPad, nor any windows 2 in 1, nor any tablet or any wacom, nothing beats the feel of traditional drawing, sketching, etc. Bonus points if you have a fountain pen and fountain pen paper, but everything works, though printer paper isn't that pleasant. If you have a sketchbook and a bunch of pencils, that works great too. Not sure if that's a great comparison because very few people can relate to me on that, but as I play two instruments, one of which is violin, where I have a proper one, and the other is piano, and I use an electric one, though music sounds beautiful from both, having that genuine response from the violin is an amazing feeling that often goes unappreciated, and that's how I also feel about drawing on paper. Regardless of whether you're getting yourself an iPad Pro or not, make sure to practice craftsmanship, paper might not be very ecological but it feels incredible. If you think I'm overreacting here, you're probably right, but I really just have to say it, if you'll be switching, please appreciate traditional tools while you're using them, the sound and texture and response and the entire experience of it is gorgeous and underrated, maybe you'll miss it! (I might be obsessed but i'm so so serious about this)
Got a question regarding the baterry life of the m pencil It saids 10hrs. But those 10 hours are with the pencil in use? Or in general? Because you can't turn off the pencil
10 hours usage. If you are not using, battery should not drain. Anyway, since the M Pencil is attached for charging, battery life should not be a problem
I wouldn’t say carbon. The iPad doesn’t have a hole punch and the bezels were really close to too thin on iPad and Huawei made it even thinner. Instead of straight sides it’s more round like the iPhones right now. In their defence it’s a screen. How different can it be? The camera bump is different. The pencil being hexagonal instead of round is also different.
Those tablets only with work with their own stylus. Only alternatives that work are capacitive styluses which do not have pressure sensitivity and palm rejection.

And when I have had really bad experiences with Huawei phones that started a spark in my house, take note, my country uses a really strict regulation. Two Nova Phones already started to explode and one of them, unfortunately, is my friend's phone. Safety comes first. Yeah sure, only two, but the explosions are seriously, seriously big, and it literally almost blew my friend's face off even of its just on his hands. The last I checked, Huawei phones are one of the worst to repair, and one of the most expensive ones to.

Yeah, when frame rate is set to 60Hz on iPad Pro, the latency looks similar to the Huawei tablet.

why do you compare matepad pro vs ipad pro?, the price difference is huge, you should compare matepad pro vs ipad 8th (as a complete set keyboard+pen+ipad is the same price as the matepad pro set)

I am getting a huawei matepad 10.4 and I haven't gotten the m pencil as that requires an additional attachment. So I was wondering if apps like Nebo and Wacom paper can use capacitive stylus?
M Pencil is active stylus. Tablet can detect the pen as it hovers close to surface. Nebo and Bamboo Paper can work with all types of stylus, but whether there is pressure sensitivity will depend on the stylus
@@teohontech7141 oh thanks a lot for that information. I was trying out matepad Pro and noted that nebo cannot read my finger writing on the tablet. Good to know that since I will be using it for note taking.

@@ShardoNight Some note taking apps will have strict palm rejection where they detect only pen input. However if you use capacitive stylus, those will be detected as finger and hence won't be able to write. With the MatePad Pro, you will want to use M Pencil so that the palm rejection will work properly.
@@teohyc yeah point taken on that. Will probably have to fork out another near 120SGD to get the mate pencil with M pencil charger if I were to do that. Gonna wait for the whole package to come and see how the capacitive stylus works out for me. Thanks again
@@teohontech7141 just a quick update. I received my matepad 10.4 and apparently Nebo doesn't work with capacitive stylus, the introduction says that an active pen is required. Hope this comment goes out to help people out there.
If you are purchasing the matepad 10.4 (NOT Matepad Pro!) remember to purchase the M-pencil with external charger, as the Matepad 10.4 itself does not support M pencil charging

no! it is using huaweis tech. apple uses a different protocol for communicating with the stylus and locating where it is on the screen so you have to buy an apple pencil

@@matthiaswang yeeahh I regret it , I should've bought the Galaxy tab s6 instead, cuz damn I don't know what happen to my iPad Pro it's stuck on the boot screen and then the customer service sometimes suck. I have to pay additional 150$ for the repair for a brand new iPad Pro that's still in warranty that's really really annoying.

I bought the iPad Pro 2020, it is great but I recommend you to wait if you will be able to save up until January. If you will be able to save up earlier just buy the 2020. The new miniLED iPad Pro will probably come out in June or in summer time, so it will be 4-5 months later than your complete savings, because it won’t be a great feeling an iPad releasing just after buying the new iPad. Have a good day.

Itachi Uchiha frankly, i have a 2020 iPad Pro and I love using it for sketching, concepting, note taking, and basically anything i would usually use my macbook for other than Glyphs, Illustrator and Ae, but not the iPad, nor any windows 2 in 1, nor any tablet or any wacom, nothing beats the feel of traditional drawing, sketching, etc. Bonus points if you have a fountain pen and fountain pen paper, but everything works, though printer paper isn't that pleasant. If you have a sketchbook and a bunch of pencils, that works great too. Not sure if that's a great comparison because very few people can relate to me on that, but as I play two instruments, one of which is violin, where I have a proper one, and the other is piano, and I use an electric one, though music sounds beautiful from both, having that genuine response from the violin is an amazing feeling that often goes unappreciated, and that's how I also feel about drawing on paper. Regardless of whether you're getting yourself an iPad Pro or not, make sure to practice craftsmanship, paper might not be very ecological but it feels incredible. If you think I'm overreacting here, you're probably right, but I really just have to say it, if you'll be switching, please appreciate traditional tools while you're using them, the sound and texture and response and the entire experience of it is gorgeous and underrated, maybe you'll miss it! (I might be obsessed but i'm so so serious about this)

It saids 10hrs. But those 10 hours are with the pencil in use? Or in general? Because you can't turn off the pencil
10 hours usage. If you are not using, battery should not drain. Anyway, since the M Pencil is attached for charging, battery life should not be a problem

Lol everything about the Matepad is a carbon copy of the iPad. I'm not an Apple fan, but this is ridiculous.
I wouldn’t say carbon. The iPad doesn’t have a hole punch and the bezels were really close to too thin on iPad and Huawei made it even thinner. Instead of straight sides it’s more round like the iPhones right now.
In their defence it’s a screen. How different can it be? The camera bump is different.
The pencil being hexagonal instead of round is also different.

The Huawei Pencil does have tilt sensitivity, it’s software specific as is Apple. Apple reviewers are not always honest about its competition.

Those tablets only with work with their own stylus. Only alternatives that work are capacitive styluses which do not have pressure sensitivity and palm rejection.
