Was my go to acoustic for years before I upgraded. Honestly for a mahogany acoustuc with a spruce top and scalloped bracing there’s not much more to ask for
Good review. Thank you. I've wanted to try one of these. I've only been playing Taylor for 20 years, and just really wanted to give this a whirl. So thanks again.
amazing guitar, I have the cherry color one haha. I bought the malibu first but it sounded different, the redondo has that amazing fender sound. I love it. Greetings from Lisbon bro!
got to say I got this in left- handed in Jetty black, it looks gorgeous and sounds amazing mine came with 12s which I wasn't to sure but they kind of work with this guitar. Playing lead or Rhythm on this guitar is super easy and playable :) unbelievable guitar for the price ignore anyone saying its bad with out even playing it them self :) .. this video also convinced me to buy it so thanks Jeff haha
Bought one today, but in candy apply red colorway. Easily one of the best-playing guitars I have held in my life. It's like you are playing on an electric-guitar neck. I got a Baby Taylor too, but I like this one better because it has a bigger body and fuller sound.
@@Actionjaxon22 my baby Taylor is so much smaller so it doesn't have that "fuller" sound that a big body guitar can throw out. At least that's how I felt. The neck is real comfortable too.
Good review, good sound, great tone I think it really sounds good, maybe change strings, then maybe not, have to have the blue, because blue is my favourite colour and wether or sound might be better in natural colour makes no odd to me, I'm no professional, just play for my pleasure. So sticking with blue.
I am currently shopping for my first guitar. This guitar is down at the local music shop and you convinced me. I am going to go buy this guitar tomorrow. "f***** hell" - I just had to subscribe. Next video up is Time Bandit. Thanks for sharing your talent.
High spots can be taken down easily. It's funny people mention this in reviews. Check how it sounds and how you feel. If I had a choice to buy a guitar with buzzing but very nice acoustic properties, I'll go for it anytime. Every guitar can be adjusted 👌
I wonder if you could make a video to show how to change the strings on the Redondo, I have recently purchased one It came with strings size 12 I would rather like size 10 but I dont dare to change them, greetings from Jerez de la Frontera
Hey Jeff! I’m looking at getting this Redondo Player but I feel it sounds a bit to “plastic” when compared to a dreadnought like the CD-60SCE. So I’m going back and forth between the two. Any advice?? Thanks!
Hi melodie 👍👍 Hmm nice to hear you have good ears. Of course a dreadnought has a fuller sound and is more beefy. The Redondo is a good choice but lacks the sound a dreadnought has. I'm not sure. I would certainly try the two out in person if you can. If that's not possible at your local guitar store then you may have to take that leap and decide what's for you. Both are nice guitars. The bonus of the Redondo is the cutaway. Get up top for some sprinkles 😸👍
Being as it has a Sitka Spruce top, do you think the natural finish would produce an even better tone than the painted ones? Gonna be grabbing one of these in the very near future and can’t decide between the sunburst or the natural - cheers man
hii, so i decided to get a new acoustic guitar. And i like fender redondo a lot. But i am scared if i get this guitar from the mail that the string height will be too high. If that happens should i just turn the truss rod clockwise or do i need to bring to a guitar shop which i cant do it right now because of covid-19.
Cheers for viewing Baran. That's a tough one. It's best to try out the guitar you are purchasing in person, before you buy it. Ordering blind from the internet is risky. I can't say whether the action will be right for you. Turning the truss rod will straighten the neck. The action adjustment is done by sanding down the saddle on the bridge. It indeed may require a setup to suit your playing. I would look around at local stores and see if they have one you can play. Even if it involves a days travel... Hope this helps 🤙
@@JEFFGUITAR yeah i wanted to try it too but i live in belguim. Here on the local stores they dont have fender redondo or just a fender acoustic guitar.
Hello! I'm thinking about buying this one, but I read a lot that people think the action is too high. You didn't mention anything about it so I was wondering what your thoughts are, is the action height comparable to the action height on an electric or is it a lot higher? Thanks!
Action on acoustics will usually be higher than electric. You can take a guitar in for a setup for like $50 or sometimes music stores will throw it for free where you purchase it. However he says in this video it is "quite low action", "no high spots"
Some acoustics have action like an electric guitar. This particular one is a touch higher than an electric. But you can sand down the bridge to suit your requirements ⭐
Hey Jeff! Thanks for this Fender Redondo video, I also saw your video for the FA345CE. I'd like to buy one of those, which one would you recommend? I like it when the guitar has a great resonance and I don't need to use an amplifier. Thank you!! Greetings from Peru !
Cheers Alejandra 👍 I think they both have a good quality sound without being plugged in. I haven't compared the two side by side, but listening to the reviews with headphones should give you a little difference of the tone. Both are nice guitars. And they both can be plugged in if needed 👍 Hope you make the right choice for you 🤘
Cheers Stefan 🤙 The first chord is an A with open b string and a high b on the e string. Don't know the name of it man 😸 followed by an e major then suspend it..then a b bar chord with open strings then back to an a barchord with open strings. Make sense? Hi I'm looking for an Acoustic Guitar where you play in drop C . Would this guitar be ok for this format or can you recommend another Acoustic that will stay in tune in open C Cheers
Cheers John 🍺 hmmm I play in open C tuning quite often. I purchased the fa345ce and has a nice tone. Stays in tune also, but the frets are quite high. I didn't tune this redondo down but I would imagine it would be ok 👍 I would recommend a dreadnought for sweet sounding bass notes. I find Guitars with a cutaway lose that thump.
