Hey man, many thanks for this complete demo and compare with Martin, i will buy thé Redondo now because your vidéo show me all what i need ! Thks, cheers from france
This video explains the difference in sounds in a clear way. Thank you very much. As I am just starting out on my guitar journey, the less expensive Redondo makes sense. I can always upgrade later.
So… I ordered one. The feel of this thing is matched by nothing. I’m in love with it. I also have a Martin D28. I love the warmth and rich boom of the Martin, but the Redondo has a much faster neck, and cuts well in the studio. I actually prefer it all the way around.
I do like the ‘roundness’ of the Martin - but I think the Fender has an often-overlooked attribute - it’s sound can cut through other guitars and make itself known without becoming part of the ‘wall-of-sound’ - and once you’re going through an amp - then anything’s possible.
@@andyacoustic9959 I'm planning on retiring with a new guitar - and the Redondo (and the D'Angelico Bowery) are on my shortlist; I actually like the sound of a dreadnought body with ball-end classicals for playing Jazz and Blues - and once I'm plugged into my new amp, I can EQ it to sound right for the session - especially when I've got the multi-effects plugged in as well. But - my electrics are strats (including a 1977 I've had since new) and that Redondo is just pulling really hard on my heart... there's something real special about a strat neck!
Big difference in sound of course. But at the end of the day, when we gig, all that matters to the people listening is that the performance sounds good. Most of the listeners don't know how to differentiate acoustic tones from a Solid wood vs laminated ones.
Hello, I've ordered a Fender Redondo Player after looking many videos on RUclips, even from Fender themselves. Today I've received my guitar and only two buttons, volume and tune, no more tuner, no more big fishman black module... Apparently there is a new release and Fender has removed the previous fishman module. What release is the best finally, old or new, I'm confused. Thanks a lot
I was looking at these and noticed the same thing about them... Only one tone knob and a volume knob. No tuner and they're 400 bucks at sweetwater . I love the look of these guitars but I'm not going to pay extra just because they look sharp. I was comparing the Redondo to the Ibanez AAD50 , and that looks comparable but with more robust electronics. It's also close to 150 bucks cheaper.
@ I’ve received a feedback from Fender, very interesting : « Our current model comes with the Flex system. Per Fishman, it has been improved with a blend Volume, Tone, Push Tone Knob For Phase Control. Sensitivity has been improved. The Preamp is designed to amplify the natural sound of the guitar, through the piezo style pickup. »
@@introid038 That's funny .. I was wondering about the pickup too.. because I was just watching some video about how horrible those style pickups are. I guess everyone is going to b**ch about something. I'm still on the fence about it.

Glad I could help!
That Martin sound is so round and nice, the bass frequencies and the struming sounds so pleasant, the fender sounds pretty thin
Just got my lefty black Redondo. Love it!

Got the natural look Redondo on special, it's awesome.
Thanks for the thoughtful edits to compare. Still on the fence with the Redondo but leading towards the fender

Fully agree Rebecca!

Martin gets nice tone for sure

Nice! Are you playing Ein Kompliment in the beginning of the video? Love that song.
👍 Sportfreunde Stiller
Yeah, that’s no comparison that Martin blew it away!!! Although the fender does sound pretty good it definitely don’t sound like that Martin!
Nice comparison with two nice guitars. Looking forward the the Fender ring for me 🙏 😎💯
I have the Fender so I'm biased. The Martin is not as bright as the Fender. With the Strat/Tele Headstock it's far cooler.
Martin is well balanced. I prefer the bright attack of the Fender
3:10 what song is this
Jet - move on (a variation of it)
The Fender sounded like a 50.00 guitar.
Which is the song on the 6:40?
Blackbird - Beatles
what about the redondo vs fender cd140 cde?
The Redondo is my favourite. It, s more brilliant
I would say yamaha fg series is better than fender and yamaha can be compares with Martin. Because it's almost same sounding
I think the Fender sounds much nicer, so made my mind up.
Acoustic sound quality. Martin open up more nd sound better den fender

Sure? They mention massive Sitka spruce top, sapele back and sides.
A Full massive wood Guitar at this price point would be a real surprise!
@@andyacoustic9959 Wer ist "die"? Fender selbst oder thomann?
Exactly! The Player Models do only have solid spruce top but laminated back and sides but there is another all solid model in the lineup
