@VinvaE Music Reactions same here. I struggled to detangle, style & manage it generally. Experienced a lot of shedding too cos my hair is so tightly coiled. Almost 2 years later, I returned to relaxer. It works better for me.
Omg! Yesss!! I made the mistake of sunbathing one day without covering or protecting my hair and the sun fried my hair on a higher heat than flat iron at 450°. It felt like a broom stick afterwards
Most ppl will say " oh... relaxer is bad, love your natural hair" but i think u look really pretty with i and u relax ur hair for the 'right' reason❤😗👏🏽👆🏾💕
Looks good. My hair was relaxed from a child to my college years. My mom admitted that she didn’t know what to do with my natural curl pattern and the more she tried the more my hair was not looking good so she relaxed it as she was taught in her youth. I didn’t mind it because I loved straight hair. But after being natural for 3 years I’ve come to love my 3c curly hair even though it’s a pain in the ass. I’ve never been sick from chemically altering my hair so if I was truly having issues with the curls I’d just flat iron it. Do you guys and girls.
I love that philosophy! Rather have healthy hair than length. I feel like people say it all the time but it just hit me! I’m always trimming my hair for the same reason …. but still get mad because I want length too lol! But if it grows long and looks healthy then great. If not, love it where it’s at and keep it healthy. I needed that lol, thank you!
You are so gorgeous ! I remember when I was relaxed and I watched you tubers who made me want to go natural and now that I’m relaxed I’m looking at your hair and I wanna go back relaxed 🥺🥺🥺
You should definitely be asking about the products they use. She giving you a few recommendations on how to care for your hair at home is super helpful in getting your hair to its maximum health. Also check out other relaxed youtubers because the girls are giving major relaxed hair tips.
ORS is my closest friend. Im waist length, and love how the ORS products make my hair and scalp feel after wards. Also, Black Jamican and Haitian Black Castro Oil are great when added with Olive Oil, Almond Oil, and Peppermint Oil. Im old school, so I still grease my scalp with Nu Gro, Doo Gro, Africa's Best, and Mane&Tale hair grease.
I would definitely want my hair to grow really long but if it's not gonna grow and look like this, then I don't want it. My sentiments exactly! When I get my perm I'm gonna always be cutting it if it's growing out thin. I LOVE thick hair. And i prefer health over length.
I've been natural for a long time, recently I decided to cut my hair short and I got tired of it since its curly. I wanted to relax for the very first time and people condemned me but I'm loving it
Thank you so much for this, my mom use to look after my hair but she never really knew how to take care of hair that's why i got a perm when i was 12. Now that i'm 19 and live with my dad (my mom moved to another state far away 😫😖) i've have to step up, the products my mom gave me to, as i am, i think is used specifically for natural hair. So now i have to start over and find what i can use to wash and moisturize it when i'm not able to go to the hair salon.💕💕
Dollbby yes I have to have a sewin or box braids if I don’t have a perm I wish that I could do natural and be comfortable but I’m not. Seeins and box braids do help grow me hair. But I want to be able to wear my natural hair and it grow
what!? 10$ extra for silicon mix deep condition...wow but the entire container is 5$ ! but i lovveee silicon mix and crecepelo.. i love my dominican salon..btw your hair looks beautifull omg so thick and healthy
You’re hair is beautiful and healthy. I just recently relaxed my natural hair (for like the 4th time after big chop.. lol). I’m definitely subscribing to your page for all the amazing tips, etc. thanks for the video!

I just relaxed my hair after 4 years of being natural and it wasn’t going to well for me. I want my hair to be healthy and full looking just like hers. I just relaxed my roots so it can grow out and eventually do my ends. And I recently relaxed it on Tuesday 😭
Great video hair looks really healthy and full!👍🙌🙌The only thing I didnt like is there are too many products I just like simplicity so you can know what product is doing what.
Mrs. Veronica Good morning! I made a few videos on my channel, but long story short I ended up cutting it to a pixie cut which I love. But as far as the relaxer I need to make sure I relax it normally or I will get breakage.
I stretch for 9 months every yr..I did a big chop I was natural for 2 years a did a second big chop in 2016 but it was mini like neck length. I decided to to do a telax it been working for me because I'll my curls but I cant deal with them so tight...
Im a natural hair girl but wana relax but so scared cos ive moved to such a dry region... but how do u keep that hair so bouncy n how often do u treat trim and wash n deal with growth if u relax x3 a year 🤔
They don’t have the label on the bottles because they don’t want u to buy them and not come back to the salon I use affirm I love that relaxer I got someone to buy this for me who have licensed I will never go back in the salon when I can do my own hair I got the hold product they won’t mess my hair up anymore
Your hair definitely looks full and healthy. Nice. Do you know what causes breakage at the crown? I experience the same and struggle to get the hair in that area to stop breaking
I would say a majority of my breakage is due to my hair being dry but I’ve been doing protein & moisturizing treatments as well as trimming my hair a lot more frequently so now it’s not as bad .
I just started playing sports heavily, I sweat a lot in practice to the point where it super wet. How do I maintain a healthy lifestyle while having relaxed hair thats not sweated out. How do it still look nice if you are sweating a lot everyday while having relaxed hair. How do you maintain relaxed hair as an athlete?
omg where did you buy your sweatshirt?? also love your hair!! i wish i could do relaxers but every time i do them i literally get a scab on my scalp like on my "soft spot" ughhh so strange but it just happens :-( Loved the video xx
Hi I was wondering if you, or anyone in the comments could give me some advice🥴 I got my hair relaxed back in October, the person who did it didn’t take the relaxed down far enough on my natural growth and now my hair is messed up! I have new growth, then a section that’s relaxed, then a section that isn’t, and then the ends are relaxed. I wasn’t too bothered because I’ve had a sew in’s for the past while but now I’ve not I can really notice it ☹️ my question is, is it okay to re-relax over the bit she kind of done? It has been nearly 10 months since that hair had any relaxed on it, I just want it to be all relaxed rather than in weird sections but don’t want to ruin my hair! Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!! ❤️❤️
Honestly , I’ve experienced a messed up relaxer before but what I’ve done to fix it is by just waiting a bit for my relaxer to grow out then relax the whole thing ( new growth + the kinda messed up areas ) it’ll be okay . Trust me .
So you said you only use heat twice a month when you get your hair done? Ok so when you have your perm how often do you wash your hair at home and if you’re washing it how are you getting it back straight if you aren’t putting heat on it yourself?
Hi, I relaxed my hair last month and just washed it yesterday. I started freaking out because my hair wouldn’t curl back up. I’m literally on the verge of crying. Will I ever see my natural curls again? Are there any products out there that can get me back to my natural state?
How do you keep your hair so silky at 2 months post? I stretch to 14 weeks but those last few weeks are looking rough lol. I would love to go longer but not sure my hair would still look good? Any advice?
butterxtarz honestly my secret is just getting a rollerset and blowing the roots out & keeping it wrapped nicely at nights - which allows me to stretch a little but with this humidity It has been difficult
Oooo I just researched that fibroids thing- I didn’t know that . I’ve been relaxing since I was a child and never had a issue with that - but if it’s something you struggle with definitely don’t do it

So beautiful I love seeing relaxed youtubers ! I tried natural for 3 years and it just wasn’t for me 😫 relaxed can be healthy!
With proper care yes definitely.
I did the same time was too expensive for me

Exactly why I’m here .. it’s tiring .. I will just follow the channel for tips
Yes,I'd rather have short thicker hair than long split ends. Quality above quanity!
Always! Good mindset girl👏
same! ❤️
I'm a cutting animal, I want my hair thick not long and thin
@@pearlinecalhoun3217 I agree until I tried clip in for thin and relaxed hair what a different beautiful world
I have never had a hair cut in my entire life, I don't want to do it myself and none of my family as far as I know k ows how to cut hair either.
Hair look sooo good! I love some thick full hair no matter what the length is
Thanks girl ! Me too ! I love thickkk hair
I think people often forget that the sun can also cause heat damage 🤔 new subbie tho 😊

I mostly relax at the salons now as the last time I did my relaxer my hair got messed up . But thank you 🙏🏾❤️

I need one so bad I can’t wait
I've been natural for a long time, recently I decided to cut my hair short and I got tired of it since its curly. I wanted to relax for the very first time and people condemned me but I'm loving it
I can tell by looking at your hair how pretty your curls would be, and your relaxed hair is just as beautiful don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Even though I am natural, I loove your beautiful relaxed HAIR!! So pretty a black and the brows are on point and thick!!

My hair constantly breaks off while being natural. 😐 and I get sew ins while being natural, it just....shouldn’t happen. Now I’m relaxed!
Dollbby sews in can cause really bad breakage. I had to stop getting them. Try a upart wig

Lol
We have the saaaaame hair breakage problem. I just relaxed my hair after being natural for 3 years, I just could maintain it myself anymore.
Bordeaux Rose how is the relaxer going? Any updates? I’m curious bc I’m thinking about relaxing.
Mrs. Veronica Good morning! I made a few videos on my channel, but long story short I ended up cutting it to a pixie cut which I love. But as far as the relaxer I need to make sure I relax it normally or I will get breakage.
I'm debating on relaxing my hair. Does it look nice in the beginning? I've been natural for about 9 years if that makes a difference.
Yes it looks nice in the beginning and your hair is going to look great after being nine years natural it’s gonna look amazing
I say start off relaxing it once a year then see if a relaxer is really want you want. It depends on how u feel
I'll like to see how your wash day routine goes
The Jamaican castor oil definitely works.
Great review, looking forward to seeing more hair videos on your relaxed hair😊 tfs God bless you 🙏❤

Your hair definitely looks full and healthy. Nice. Do you know what causes breakage at the crown? I experience the same and struggle to get the hair in that area to stop breaking

RUclips recommended this older video of yours Octavia lol. Lovely hair.
How did you relax your hair?
How often do u freeze ur scalp how often do u wash ur hair? Also do use product daily or every few times a week?
Very helpful, I just started my relaxed hair journey
Wow I use all your products.... but recently switched to Mizani..... their products are also quite great.
Omg I need to try mizani
You should... really good stuff.... makes all the difference.... especially being 4 month post relaxer on stubborn 4c hair.
Great video! How often do you trim your hair. Healthy always comes before length - however, how often do you trim your hair?
A lot maybe more than I should
@@OctaviaB Oh, wow.

do you flat iron your relaxed hair? if so how often? if not how do you get t to move like that??
Roller set then blow the roots . Then I’ll wrap it over night
Octavia B ok thank you and do the rollers make it like curly? also new subscriber:)
and do you use heat at all?
Alena Hall no it makes it really bouncy and straight hence why my hair has all that movement
Alena Hall I do use heat on occasions to straighten my roots but that’s about it

When you do flat iron your hair what flat iron do you use

what do products do you use to treat your hair?
hello Octavia ! did you say that you use the olive oil perm at home when you’re doing it yourself?
Yeah - no lye, regular strength
