    I haven’t moisturized and sealed in years. I never saw a need for it. I also blow dry and flat iron my hair once a week. Air drying is worse for my hair than using heat. People really have to do what works for their hair instead of following what others are doing.

    • @BeeRussie
      @BeeRussie  2 года назад +7

      So true. It isn’t really a one size fits all approach. I’m glad you found something that works for you ☺️

      My hair didn't start growing long until I began moisturizing and sealing regularly. I still use heat once per week though and my hair is still thriving and growing.

      Yes that moisturize and seal has done nothing for me. As a child my mother would grease my scalp, braid my hair and put a stocking cap on my head nothing silk and my hair was healthy and long

    Ion know bout that silicone mix. I have a strong suspicion there is relaxer in it. I’ll put it on my clip ins, but when I deep conditioned my real hair with it I had a bald spot after I rinsed it out. The smell is suspect as well

    • @BeeRussie
      @BeeRussie  2 года назад +4

      Sorry you had a bad experience with it. Everyone’s hair is different so it may just not be for you. I’ve used it for about 8 years & have never had an issue with it. As far as it having an relaxer in it that’s not true at all. Products in the U.S are regulated by the FDA. It would never make it on the store shelf if it had a relaxer in it and was misbranded/mislabeled like you’re suggesting.

    Yess i’ve been saying this, i’ve been relaxed for like 18yrs my mom is From DR and we never ever airdry , roller set and under the hooded dryer we go😅 and i never had any heat damage, hair always healthy,heat isn’t our enemy if we use it the right way!
    And Silicon mix is the Goat 😅 👌🏾never failed me.

    • @BeeRussie
      @BeeRussie  2 года назад +3

      Exactly! I always use to think I had to stay away from heat but it was never the issue. I was just using it wrong. And I’m OBSESSED with it girl! Dominican products overall are AMAZING ❤️❤️❤️

    I don't waste my time flat ironing. It will revert as soon as I hit the gym or outside anyway. I find as long as my new growth is moisturized properly, it lays straight with a scarf. Air drying for me has doubled the volume and length of my hair in one year

  • @marilynmartin3901

    I use to moisturize and seal 3 to 4 times a week. After watching Linwood, the license cosmetologist and hair school instructor shared that Giovanni 2 Chic ultra moisture shampoo and conditioner was excellent for moisture. Since following his instructions on using these products, I shampoo and condition weekly and I no longer have to moisturize and seal throughout the week. My hair remains moisturized until shampoo day because of these products.

    I always use at least 3-4 lightweight leave-ins, 2 that have heat protectant plus I use a aerosol heat protectant spray so you might be on to something. I really like the Paul Mitchell tea tree lavender & mint moisturizing shampoo and it has no protein in it. Ulta usually has Paul Mitchell bogo half off on a regular basis or you can get it during the liter sale for like $20. I like the conditioner that goes with it as well.

    • @BeeRussie
      @BeeRussie  2 года назад +1

      I’m always scared that I’ll miss a certain spot so the extra layer of protection helps me feel better 😅 And I’ve heard good things about Paul Mitchell. I’ll have to add that to my list of shampoos to try.
