Narrator: Millions of years ago, our planet we call home was a very different place. Earth started out as a big mass of hot gas and rock, but it eventually cooled down to become a solid planet. Then, when the great oceans formed, some of the very first forms of life made their first appearance on Earth.
Microscopic life is shown within the deep blue sea. It started as one microscopic organism until millions of them roamed across the sea like a swarm. So much of these creatures there were, who could keep track of all of them?

      Narrator: First, tiny microscopic creatures...
Over time, some of the early fish began to form out of the millions of these tiny organisms. Eventually these creatures would grow bigger and bigger, expanding all around the area.
      Narrator: Then early fish...
Out of all these species, one of the fish would grow a pair of legs and eventually a pair of arms up front. Until miraculously, this mysterious creature would emerge from out of the water and see land for the first time. This particular creature would be one of the World's first amphibians.
      Narrator: Then amphibians...
Eventually, these amphibians would no longer have to rely on the water to support their needs. Amazingly these creatures would find a way to adapt to the land and develop skin that would protect them from all predators. Eventually these species would come together, to form a group who would be known as the "reptiles".
      Narrator: And finally...the reptiles.
Finally, after years and years of evolution, much time of growing and expanding, these various species of animal life would become the rulers of this mysterious planet. A species known as...the Dinosaurs.
Narrator: This was a time long before Adam and Eve... Before apes and elephants... Before wolves, bison, and whales... Even before mammoths and smilodons. This was the age of the great reptiles we call...dinosaurs.

A Brachiosaurus lifts his head from over the treetops, bellowing a mighty roar that expands over the horizon. As if on cue, another Brachiosaurus would join their fellow member followed by a number of these beings.
Narrator: These awesome giants ruled the Earth for thousands of centuries.
A Styracosaurus bull roars to his herd to keep up, the herd itself walks forth into the horizon. Where they would go is uncertain, but one thing is certain: These Styracosaurus are setting forth on a quest for a great discovery somewhere in the great unknown.
Narrator: Like the animals of today, the dinosaurs were of many kinds. Some were herbivores; creatures with flat teeth, eating the leaves from trees and shrubs.
A Tyrannosaurus Rex is shown prowling along an uninhabitable portion of the planet. It roars fiercely, revealing it's massive intimidating fangs and appears to look in the audience with a look of hunger in its eyes.
Narrator: Some were carnivores; creatures with sharp teeth, preying upon their fellow dinosaurs and eating meat.
Some Oviraptors and Microraptors are shown; some of the Oviraptors are seen feeding on plant life, others on small lizards that they could catch in their beaks. All while the Microraptors were seen up in the trees, feeding on insects and grubs.
Narrator: Some were omnivores; creatures that could eat both plants and meat. And even insectivores; creatures who ate insects and other buglife.
A Corythosaurus herd is shown migrating through the dusty path, a cloud storm blowing through them as they move through their journey.
Narrator: Then it happened that the leaves began to die. These mighty beasts, the ones who appeared to rule the Earth, were ruled in truth, by the leaf.
An Apatosaurus herd is shown migrating across a river. The water is practically cold and crisp the moment they set one foot into the stream. But it didn't matter to the herd. So long as they knew where they were going and what this journey had to offer, it would all be worth it for the benefit of their future.
Narrator: Desperate for food, some of the dinosaur herds struck out toward the west... Searching for the Great Valley, a land still lush and green. It was a journey toward life.
Somewhere on the edge of a lake, a herd of Parasaurolophus takes a rest after a long day's journey. Whilst the father feasts upon some green within the water, the mother sits by a group of eggs cluttered together. She sits there nursing her eggs, waiting for the moment to arrive.
Narrator: It was a march of many dangers. Predatory dinosaurs stalked the herds, waiting to seize any who strayed. The plant-eating dinosaurs stopped only to hatch their young.
A single egg hatches out of them all. Bursting its head and feet out through the shell is a Parasaurolophus known as Ducky. A tiny insect flies over Ducky's head, curiously as she attempts to reach for the creature though her body remains stuck in the shell. Determined, Ducky follows the insect through a log only to stumble, finally bursting the egg into bits. She lands on a rodent, called a Morganucodon, startling the creature and sending it hightailing. Ducky follows only to bump into a Colossochelys, a giant tortoise. The creature opens it's mouth wide, Ducky, curiously, peers into its jaw. SNAP! The creature clamped its jaw shut, but luckily the mother already caught Ducky, pulling her away to safety.

With her baby safe, the mother returns Ducky back to the nest. At that very moment, the other siblings have hatched from the nest as the mother looks happily at her newborn babies.
Meanwhile, a Triceratops family has just had their own babies. Hatched from their eggs, they run in-between their parents' legs to explore their new surroundings. One hatchling in particular, Cera, shows promise as a fighter, as she headbutts her mom and dad. The parents just simply admire their young one's bravery.
Narrator: Some of the young seem born without fear.
Over a cliff, a family of Pteranodons are blessed with hatchlings of their own. One hatchling, Petrie, peaks over the nest but the sight of the ground millions of feet below leaves the little guy practically petrified. A roll of thunder rolls along the horizon, causing Petrie to leap back in fright running into his mother. The mother just simply smiles at Petrie and nuzzles him close for warmth and comfort as it started to rain.
Elsewhere, the Apatosaurus herd are seen feeding by their nest. Amongst the pile of eggs that were either smashed or all ready cracked to pieces, one of the last eggs is seen ready to hatch. Unfortunately, a hungry Struthiomimus spies the eggs and creeps closer and closer for it's evening meal.
Narrator: Yet... Even hatching could be dangerous.
The Struthiomimus clutches the egg with its claws, attempting to run away. But it attracts the attention of a large male Apatosaurus, Bron, who headbutts the Struthiomimus, throwing him off balance. Simultaneously, the force causes the creature to let the egg loose.
The egg practically goes on a little adventure, rolling through thorny fields and floating along a small stream. It falls over a waterfall and hops back onto solid ground. After having a little adventure of its own, the egg returns to its family, as some creature takes a closer look.
Narrator: One herd had only a single baby, their last hope for the future.
Soon the egg fully hatches, startling some of the creatures into reeling back. By the time the entire shell is broke loose, a baby Apatosaurus is revealed: Littlefoot.
      Narrator: And they called him...Littlefoot.

Curious, Littlefoot looks around his surroundings. Before long, Littlefoot turns toward his family, who gather around him.
    Littlefoot's mother: Here I am.
Littlefoot sees his mother, at first a little unsure of this creature. But after getting some licks to wipe off the tiny bits of shell and yolk, the baby dinosaur recognizes her as his mother. Some unknown creatures come to inspect the new arrival. Nervous of the creatures, Littlefoot tries to get away, trips slightly, and hides behind his mother's leg.
Littlefoot's mother: Don't be frightened. Come out.
Some more unknown creatures come to inspect the new arrival, Littlefoot, who simply tries to snuggle around his mother's leg. Upon seeing the creatures again, Littlefoot tries to get away again and trips. Chuckling is heard as Littlefoot's father, Bron, comes from behind and picks his newborn son up with his teeth.
