Also, why on earth did they have a clip of Janice saying 'out - she can't walk' about Elyse when it was CLEARLY about someone else because she LOVED Elyse and Elyse's walk. Wtaf.
As a film graduate who specialised in producing I am appalled that there was a full crew for when the models were posing nude. I also seem to remember that unfortunately Elyse was involved in a bad situation with her ex-boyfriend who has in the band The Shins. I believe he was arrested for domestic violence. Glad she was able to survive that.
The Surreal Life (I think it was on VH1) was a show for like D-list or lesser celebrities to live and interact in a house. Also Janice Dickinson was on the show, I think it was the season after Adrianne.

The part about the food poisoning sounds like “Take your health seriously! But if you do, we will judge you for it if you would rather go to the hospital and get a silly IV to hydrate your body than be judged by us very high and mighty people because this is actually more important” awful vibes
I've heard the question, 'Where did Tyra get these wild ideas for this show? You don't see anything like this in the real world.' I think I have an idea. Tyra came to fame when being a famous model was like being a movie star or musician, fame wise. A lot of models were household names. Think late 80's, early 90's. It wouldn't be all that surprising to see these insane photos of models in remote locations, or with the most insane outfits. Back then, print was king. Magazines and catalogs where everywhere, so you would see these outrageous photo shoots because they could afford it, and that's how you sell more copies. That being the modeling world that Tyra started, and rose to fame from, I don't think she knew how to see it any other way till recently. The show seemed to take a real hard pivot to integrate social media, and bring the show up to speed with the world, not to mention the ratings. Plus, with social media, you don't need to be signed to some top modeling agency to be a model with millions of fans. And let's be real, a lot of the show was also Tyra longing for the old days, and wanting to relive it.
No offense but how old are u? Tyra missed being one of the power models of the early 90s and came into being really big in the late 90s. The shoots before her where they had the biggest super model names like Linda evangelista and Naomi Campbell, never had wild photo shoots and neither did Tyra. This crazy shit was because of the drama for the show and nothing else. No one in their right mind would put a model through this especially not one of the queens back then.
Tyra, Jay, J. Alexander, Nigel, and other judges/people on the show were such big bullies, so rude/mean to the people. Some of the challenges were ridiculous and/or dangerous and therefore shouldn't have been done. I think that the makeovers on ANTM were for shock value/ratings and not longevity. None of the judges cared about anyone's health. According to a comment, there was a female contestant who went to a photo shoot when she was in a hospital moments before. The same comment also mentions that another model gave herself hypothermia during a photo shoot.
If you want to know more about Elyse's post-show career and experience you can read her live journal which is still available. Her book is based on those posts I believe and they're hilarious.

Thanks for all the ANTM aftermath context you've gathered for us sa-wans, girl! PS Saw your tattoo in Roly's video, and I looove how it goes with the needles you already had.
When you were reading out the list from Elyse's story, I generally thought I zone out for the whole video and that you were reading the patreons and you then said the same. I was so confused 😂
We have no idea whether Nicole and her boyfriend (or anyone else we only know through social media) are "absolutely thriving". People who treat you like rubbish go on treating you like rubbish.
Maybe some of the girls that where sent home early where seen by some of the photographers and companies they had lined up for the shoots had already selected the girls they wanted so they deliberately got rid of them. Just a thought. Love your content. X
I saw Janice Dickinson IRL in NYC in 2010. I didn't have the guts to say "hi!" What I like about Janice is she's very much " what you see is what you get. " At least she was honest, not underhanded or secretively a mean girl.
The ironic thing about Elyse and the ED storyline is that she became a food blogger. Her Livejournal is a great read and still available. Also she was in a Sony camera commercial i saw once.
My new bucket list item is to come to London again and have you teach me how to do a smoky eye ! I am obsessed with looking at your eyes in every video! Luxeria is the queen of blending
Hiii Luxeria, I loved the video!! :)) ❤❤ Just wondering if you watched the Oliver Twixt Chats of Ebony and Giselle? I think they really gave a good insight of their experiences during ANTM Cycle 1!! 🥰💖
I appreciate your nput on all your videos and I find myself in agreement with your comments on Utube. Your commentary is very much appreciated. Luxeria Thank you for your informative videos And the hard work you put into them. Smiling in Washington State.
I love that you did this so much! So many (all?) retrospectives on ANTM don't touch on what the models did after the show and I dunno if it's just me but it's something I always wonder about and research!
Luxeria! You *need* to read Jay Manuel's book. It's hilarious and so much shade on the whole process of Top Model. It's called The Wig, The Bitch, and the Meltdown and it is SO worth the money.
It's nice to know that, the hairstylist was hesitant about putting the weave in Adrienne's hair, because it seems like he knew that it would be a bad look.
Very happy for you going to the best event ever, dear Lux 😀 excellent video! I was actually wondering to myself yesterday when the Where Are They Now would drop... how did you know? ❤
First of all, SO wonderful to hear you’ve had such a great week/weekend! That’s awesome to hear! I have family over for 5 days and though I love them VERY much I needed a break! So I “went to bed” early and low and behold you have a video for me to watch Lux!! So grateful to have this to lay down and watch right now. ❤️
I feel similarly about ANTM because it’s so nostalgic I’ve watched it since season 1 when I was still in elementary school and I watched it through college then I got bored. I think it was actually during that college season funnily enough. I see so many problematic things about it now. Don’t even get me started on how they talked about and treated Toccara, it was awful! Also the unhealthy body image they’ve pushed throughout the run of the show, I realize models are generally thinner but as a child you don’t make that distinction. I love watching Oliver Twixt interviews with former contestants, he gets all the best details and sometimes because of their interviews I’ll start to see them differently. ANTM is such an iconic show though, honestly! Omg honestly, The Surreal Life was a fever dream, they put them in a circus tent of a house and see how “has been” celebrities react living together and doing challenges it’s like big brother honestly. It made me discover Tammy Faye and how much I love her, makeup icon! The Shannon and Adrienne live stream is so great.
I’m so excited to watch your reaction and hear your thoughts on cycle 2! It’s absolutely gagged and just thinking about some of the most well known moments gives me gout
There have been some fun interviews of ANTM alum done by Oliver Twixt on RUclips. The ones I've seen so far were a blast to watch. You guys might enjoy those if you get the chance to check them out...
Guys guys guys, just hear me out.. Luxeria watching, and commenting on, the classic barbie movies✨ (princess and the pauper, barbie as Rapunzel) come on, I need to see Preminger and Luxeria in the same video😭
Luxeria, we need merch. YOUR FANS NEED MERCH! I would love a shirt with America’s Next Top Scandal Girl on it! Or maybe a nice tote in a daytime tweed. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! Your videos give me a well needed giggle at the end of my days! Thank you! Keep up the amazing work that you do!

Oh my god! 💀💀💀
This is really a wonderful format, watching through the seasons and having conversations throughout and following with wrap-up and final thoughts... a lot of channels would just do the wrap-up.
Always love all your uploads. 💜🖤💜
Thanks for all the ANTM aftermath context you've gathered for us sa-wans, girl!
PS Saw your tattoo in Roly's video, and I looove how it goes with the needles you already had.
(I think she's covering those, I'm excited to see the final piece!)
@@ninalove3044 I wondered if that might be the case, but either way I think it looks cool on the skull!
When you were reading out the list from Elyse's story, I generally thought I zone out for the whole video and that you were reading the patreons and you then said the same. I was so confused 😂
Okay but that Elise photo really gave me randomized sim vibes
That or Nickolodian star
We have no idea whether Nicole and her boyfriend (or anyone else we only know through social media) are "absolutely thriving". People who treat you like rubbish go on treating you like rubbish.
It was confirmed that her boyfriend wasn't nearly as awful as he was portrayed. They are, in fact, thriving.
Maybe some of the girls that where sent home early where seen by some of the photographers and companies they had lined up for the shoots had already selected the girls they wanted so they deliberately got rid of them. Just a thought.
Love your content. X
The "early outs" didn't suffer as much emotional damage vis a vis Tyra, also, in my opinion. 😁
I love these videos and so happy I discovered you Lux! Newish subbie and really enjoy your content. Would love more makeup tutorials too 🥰
I am so excited for you! I haven't been dancing in years...very exciting. And I have been waiting for this . Thanks for the hard work.
Oh my GOD thank you so much for all the effort and time that went into making this.
Yet again Luxeria swoops in to completely change the day from good to fabulous!!! Thanks!! Also you look beautiful 🌷
I saw Janice Dickinson IRL in NYC in 2010. I didn't have the guts to say "hi!" What I like about Janice is she's very much " what you see is what you get. " At least she was honest, not underhanded or secretively a mean girl.
YOUR HAIR IS STUNNING😍😍😍
The ironic thing about Elyse and the ED storyline is that she became a food blogger. Her Livejournal is a great read and still available. Also she was in a Sony camera commercial i saw once.
My new bucket list item is to come to London again and have you teach me how to do a smoky eye ! I am obsessed with looking at your eyes in every video! Luxeria is the queen of blending
I was feeling a little sad today but your videos helped taking those things of my mind! Thank you so much!!! great job searching the models!
I'm so glad you want to do cycle 2 as well, I love watching all these series reactions.
I want a video of Luxeria clubbing it up. That would be so much fun! 🖤
😂😂😂😂 not sure it’s suitable! Susan will get me!
@@Luxeria Susan is such a wet blanket at a picnic. 🥺
I love that you did this so much! So many (all?) retrospectives on ANTM don't touch on what the models did after the show and I dunno if it's just me but it's something I always wonder about and research!
Thank you for this amazing update compilation! Best one on the internet! I'm hooked on your videos.
i thought i knew everything about this season... but then bam, Tessa in black face :/
Right!!!!
Lux, can I just say your hair is on point! loving the ombre of white into blonde on you!
Luxeria! You *need* to read Jay Manuel's book. It's hilarious and so much shade on the whole process of Top Model. It's called The Wig, The Bitch, and the Meltdown and it is SO worth the money.
Ok sis. So I need you to hurry up with the seasons so you can do allstars.. season 17! There is so much drama in that one 👀. Love you btw
I remember the surreal life… Luxeria definitely should check it out for a review series. It was a wild time.
For future seasons Jessica Kobeissi on RUclips has interviewed a few contestants in the last year or so
YAY!! love the ANTM content, can't wait for you to do cycle 2, *insert 'I love mess' meme*
You are just so beautiful, I can’t stop staring at your face. I love love love your hair like this😍
I feel similarly about ANTM because it’s so nostalgic I’ve watched it since season 1 when I was still in elementary school and I watched it through college then I got bored.
Love to see you, Lux!! You are looking fabulous!!!🖤🖤🖤 So ready for this video!! Finishing my 5th tattoo next week!! 😊😊
I had the roughest day at work today as literally all my equipment broke on me . IM READY FOR THE SCANDAL !!
Hello lovely! Your hair is looking extra lovely today! The slight curl really suits you!
Thankyou!
"Oh what's in your box?" "GOUT" 🤣
I’m so excited to watch your reaction and hear your thoughts on cycle 2! It’s absolutely gagged and just thinking about some of the most well known moments gives me gout
There have been some fun interviews of ANTM alum done by Oliver Twixt on RUclips. The ones I've seen so far were a blast to watch. You guys might enjoy those if you get the chance to check them out...
What a perfect way to end my work day!! Much love from Pennsylvania 🤗
Hey I'm in Pennsylvania too! Hope your weather there is as beautiful today as it is in my part of Pennsylvania today!
PA gang!
@@SavaFiend yeah?! What part? I’m near Scranton.
@@mildred1741 yes! Scranton here!!
@@ginaconnors3106 I'm all the way on the other side of the state in good old Erie LOL
I can't wait to see how this turns out 👓😂
👀 😂😂😂
Thank you for another great video Luxeria! I would LOVE to se a collab between you and a professional photographer analysing some ANTM photoshoots!
“I’m gonna bag me a Brady.” -Adrienne Curry, the Surreal Life (one of my favorite quotes ever.)
Guys guys guys, just hear me out.. Luxeria watching, and commenting on, the classic barbie movies✨ (princess and the pauper, barbie as Rapunzel) come on, I need to see Preminger and Luxeria in the same video😭
YESS I just rewatched all of your playlist of this season yesterday! Great timing on the game 🌹💕
Omg your makeup today is ✨STUNNING✨
I've never heard the term "a shrinking violet". Thanks for that ;D
I’m sorry, but can we talk about how gorgeous Luxeria’s hair is in this video? Goth mermaid vibes.
It's lovely indeed. Also icon buddies!
@@wingedyera I love rosy maple moths! They’re so unassuming as caterpillars, but they grow up to be so pretty 🤩
You look stunning today ! You must have had a VERY good weekend! You’re practically glowing !!! ❤️🥰
Elimination of Ebony was very unfair. I’m happy she made it far.
