Love your content! This is so helpful!
Thank you very much ✨
Thank you for video. I just bought ND/CPL (8, 16, 32, 64). Also going to test them
Thanks for sharing. Would be interesting to hear your feedback. I found ND16 the most usable one for sunny weather.
🔥 Fantastic video! Your knowledge is unparalleled. 📚
Thank you so much. I highly appreciate your words
@05:29 see the sun with the CPL filter.. 🤯🤯😍😍 Unexpected...
Yes, CPL filter does its job very well
thanks you ,from to VietNam ,this is best video for action 5
Thanks a lot for the support
Nice
Thank you 🙏
They are basics on every cam - since decades. 😉
I agree. However for every camera type they might require a bit of adjustment.
Good video. A question I always wanted to ask as you rotate the camera you would lose the polarisation sweet spot even if the osmo action is in horizontal lock mode? The sensor is in lock mode but the actual camera is rotation
@@stanvisualseychelles932 good question. You’re right. That’s why CPL filter is the best for smooth cinematic shots. And if you change the camera orientation - you might need to adjust CPL position also.
can i use the same settings when i am riding a motorcycle?
Yes, absolutely. But also you can try to use more ND8 filter on sunny days with 1/120 and 60fps and 100 ISO. This is a well used combination for fpv drones.
I use ND 8, 16, 32 when recording videos on a motorcycle. All of them work perfectly, add dynamics to the video and saturate the colours! You just need to choose the right filter for the time of day or weather. And I set not a fixed ISO, but a range of 100-800 or 100-1600, Action5Pro perfectly pulls up the picture if the sun hides behind the clouds or shines again at full force.
Thanks for sharing. Range ISO is a good idea. I use it often with CPL for more smooth and stable footage.
Use 4x shutter speed vs frame rate
@@ssoloviev85 I’ll try it, thanks
Can you leave some links to the ring adapter you use to allow 49mm nd filter? Also, regarding the boost lens, can you use nd filters with it?
Of course. A 49mm ring I've purchased on Ali Express, like this www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806888297891.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.3.28a42c7e8mSfMK. And regarding boost lens and ND filter - unfortunately you can't, because ND filters have a universal shape that only fits a standard lens. Maybe you could try to find something customized.
Hello, nice video, Thanks
Looks like ND filters footages are burned compared to cpl
Maybe a side by side view of the 4 footages could help?
For beginners like I am, it is not easy to figure out if we need filters or not 🙁
Hi, thank you.
ND filters are a bit special. I would use them on very special occasions, perhaps for motorcycling or fast bike riding, when I want to have a natural motion blur on the footage. CPL I use it more often. Especially, when it is sunny or I'm filming nearby the ocean, sea or lake, or when I have a lot of blue sky and green grass - CPL helps make colours even more vibrant.
If I need to choose one, that would be a CPL. If I would need to choose - then CPL and ND8 or ND16 - it depends on the type of conditions I want to film.
By the way, tomorrow will be a new video on my channel about lenses for Osmo Pocket 3.
Where are u filming ? It's a stunning location
Thank you. This video was mostly filmed in Algarve, Portugal.
Cool thank you.
My pleasure!
Hey Nice video, can you link to the setup you used for the Macro Lens setup? Thanks
Thank you very much. Macro lens doesn't require any additional setup. You just put it on and use as we can see on 06:17 of the video.
@@SupersonicTravellerokay sure, which macro lens did you use out of curiosity?
I have a separate 15x Junestar (JSR) lens. Also, the set of 2x, 4x, 10x lenses, that can be attached to 49mm lens adapter. But 15x JSR I use more often.
@@SupersonicTraveller so in the video/your flow you basically use the 15X Junestar directly on your OMA5 Pro, without any lens adaptor?
That's correct. Directly put it on the camera and ready to go. Just remember to remove the rubber ring from the Action camera lens, like any other filters require it also.
Good video man 👍🏻😃
Thanks a lot for the feedback. I highly appreciate it
@@SupersonicTraveller I’ve got a 10 stop on the way for stills and Timelapse. Freewell. Looking forward to it .
For sunny days it should be amazing.
Fantastic,,,,
Thanks

Indah sekali
Thank you
3:25 filter is no help to ugly sunflare :(
Thanks for the comment. This is ND filter. Not CPL. Its job to reduce a light exposure.
