No, that would be impossible. Also, no reasons for that. Because DJI Osmo Pocket 3 has its own built-in gimbal.

You're totally right, DJI Action 5 Pro cannot be connect to iSteady Hohem 4 Pro, like previous cameras. So we cannot control the shutter button fro gimbal. But I'm using this gimbal as the stabilizer for the camera. Since DJI removed bluetooth connectivity - non of gimbals and sticks cannot be connected, except the native DJI power-handle.

That is a downside for sure. I used to edit x4 videos immediately after getting back home.

Thanks for sharing! DJI Pocket 3 is considerably better and way more cinematic and professional. A bit more pricey. But taking into account that Action camera might require the gimbal to be purchased - then the prices are coming to something equal. But of course, the durability, waterproofing, etc - that needs to remember.

Hm, I think according to my points (my subjective judgment 😂) - Action 5 Pro has won 3 of 10. Actually, after purchasing the X4, I didn't use Action 5 Pro a single time. Which one would you prefer?

@ I have both also and the action 5 smashes the x4 in everything but 360. It’s not even close.

Personally for me it is a bit annoying of how much SSD space 360 video takes and also, that each video needs to be pre-edited (re-framed) first into a regular one. But what I like about 360 camera - is that almost impossible to miss anything around. It always captures everything. I've got an Ace Pro 2 a few days ago and I want to challenge it against Action 5 Pro. The detailed review will be in 1 week. I wonder if 360 will be as robust and stable/durable as Action 5 Pro. We will see :)

Thank you for your comment. But let me disagree regarding the rubber case and soft case. The rubber case would protect the camera only in case of extra hard fall of the camera and perhaps if someone steps on the camera after that. But in that situation - most likely the screen will be damaged. And a soft case will protect the entire camera from 99% of accidental falls on the ground. Especially, if the guard lenses are on. Regarding guard lenses - if you could help to find the exact moment on the video where the flares are detected - I would appreciate. And regarding the heat Shield. Well, as per the description from Insta360 on the their Thermal Case product description - "Reduces the surface temperature of X4 and makes it more comfortable to hold when recording in 8K for a long time.". Maybe, "Reduces the surface temperature of X4" means something else? Because this shield is made of the graphene-based materials, which suppose to absorb and dissipate the heat of the camera surface.

Thermal Grip case has 3 purposes.1st and 2nd are to reduces the surface temperature of X4 and makes it more comfortable to hold when recording in 8K for a long time (copied from Insta360 X4 Thermal grip spec). And 3rd one - to protect the camera. Why it suppose to reduce the temperature - because the case is made of the graphene-based materials. Again, this is from the spec.

@@SupersonicTraveller You are misunderstanding the wording there. The surface that "you touch with your hand" is cooler, which is the case itself when it's snapped on. Also graphene is an insulator, so this is also a good indication that you are thinking the wrong way around.

I will chat with Insta360 support and reply here. But as of now - I just asked ChatGPT about Thermal Case, and it has the same understanding - that "The case incorporates materials and design features that help dissipate heat generated by the camera during extended recordings, ensuring stable performance and preventing thermal shutdowns."

Hello, congratulations with purchasing of Hohem M6. This is indeed a very good gimbal. I don't have a possibility to make a video with it now. But what I can suggest you is to try different modes, like FOV, FPV, Lock mode. You will find your way. Also, if you use a tracking device - you can use gestures, like "ok" or "show palm" to start and stop tracking. In general - this gimbal is very easy to start working with. I'm sure you'll get to it pretty quick.

@@SupersonicTraveller Basically, the Pocket 3 is designed for video, and it’s not very convenient for photography. These filters were originally created for cameras, so unless you're using them on a camera, they may not be very helpful. However, when using filters for video, it can sometimes be challenging to maintain focus as your camera lens moves, especially since this device doesn’t have very accurate or fast autofocus.

@ yeah, totally understand. I like a macro video, so really love these macro lenses. However, as you mentioned, it is not easy to maintain the focus.

And you’re right. A wide lens is totally useless. I didn’t find when to use it and didn’t notice any significant difference at all. However a macro lens is a game changer.

@SupersonicTraveller None of us are into underwater sports. Wife surfs. So most of our stuff is brief 'splash' video. Probably the 4's won't get an upgrade. Nice that 3, 4, and 5 can share most accessories. Cheers
