I drove from Vegas to Orange County CA today. I listened to this video and no joke, about 20 minutes after I watched this, I saw a billboard in riverside that said “$7000 breast augmentation at heavenly plastic surgery” and I burst out laughing😂 maybe that’s where she went😂

I'm not sure OP will get any damages awarded though. I think that maybe the only person who didn't get the benifit ot thier bargain is the father that offered to cover the rental and then wound up with stolen finances to cover kncockers. (Depending on the country OP is in though.) It sounds like the Dad is finally setting his foot down, but I bet he doesn't sue his own daughter.

Well... technically she needs to pay her father back. The BM's fee has been used when they each went to the trip with their own SO. The 7k for the surgery belonged to her father. Since the father gave the money *after*, the bride committed fraud toward her father, not the BM.

I have been a event coordinator & party planner for 30 years and I have never seen ANY swan ice sculpture that came close to $7000

OMG! thanks for update - i think he is making huge huge mistake, but at this point, he knows what he gets into. we have a saying in my country - "the way you make your bed is the way you will get sleep" - he got all info about what kind of person she is. no pitty for him if she will be lying to him during their marriage (or financially drain him)

My Bachelorette party consisted of spending the night at my parent's log cabin, hanging out in the jacuzzi, eating lots of food, riding horses, then going to the beach.. it costs less than $500. And I paid for it.. it was a blast.. My friends thanked me for simple, fun, and free. They brought whatever alcohol & food they wanted to add. Good memories and no AITA.

Yes I had a nice quiet long weekend with my girlfriends at our beach house. We enjoyed some nice drinks, dinner out, beach days and clubbing some of the nights. We had a blast and I covered the cost of everything. I didn’t want to put my friends out of a ton of money because it’s about spending time with good friends not about ripping people off. This bride is a whole other level of effed up

OP is concerned about a Janet Jackson style wardrobe malfunction and B has refused to allow OP to modify the dress stating OP should " “just be more confident in myself” because all the dresses must be identical for photos." OP is handling herself with such class and is planning to wearing the sh*t out of the dress and making sure the center of attention is not on the lovely bride. To be a fly on the wall wedding day. It’s just mind boggling to me that some people ask for all this meanwhile I got treated like a bridzilla for wanting my bridesmaid in MATCHING SHOES 🫨 which they made a fuss about so I gave in & said just get nude heels then.. but one showed up in 7 inch platforms & my SIL who was also a BM showed up in 300$ pink & silver rhinestone Guess platforms that were fancier than my shoes! & I was made to feel that I was a bridezilla if I felt any way about it!

If your BMs wanted to wear ‘flashy’ shoes, surely they could have worn them at the reception.
It’s hard, sometimes, to stick up for yourself, and not just give in and go with the flow, (this is coming from someone who let people walk all over her for years) but, you need to think of your own wellbeing.

It's mind boggling to me that people accept being a bridesmaid when they don't like being told what to wear. Say no to being a bridesmaid then! You are not obligated to say yes! People need to learn to use no more often. I wish I did earlier in my life. I didn't get the wedding I wanted either for various reasons, mostly my sister not wanting to wear a dress at all (she ended up wearing wide leg flowy dress pants and a sparkely halter top) and she refused to wear the color I wanted which resulted in having to change the rest of the bridesmaids dresses because the style I wanted was all sold out in the only color my sister would wear. Icing on the cake, a friend of mine had bridesmaids dresses in her wedding the exact color I had wanted for mine and when my sister saw the pictures she was raving about what a nice color it was. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME. I also changed the wedding date to suit my sister's work schedule so ended up having it in a completely different season than I wanted.
I also wish I said no to being a bridesmaid when my husband's brother got married. It was at a time when hubby and I were both having difficulty finding work and had no idea how we were going to pay our next months rent. Bride found some super cute BM dresses on clearance at Sears for like $20 then after we bought them she changed her mind and chose fugly expensive ($300ish) ones from a bridal store (that would need alterations) and told her I could not afford it. She said she would help me pay and then never did. My MIL had to help us pay rent and for wedding attire (for hubby too) and my hair. To top it all off bride had a friend that hung out with us for all the shopping and bridesmaid things and it felt obvious that she would have rather had that friend in the wedding but felt obligated to ask me because my husband had to be in the wedding, being the groom's brother. That was like 15 years ago and I still wish to this day that I had said no. I definitely say no more often now.

She was almost 6’ without shoes and the other bridesmaids and I were all under 5’’4, so I asked her to wear any flats she wanted so she wouldn’t tower over the rest of the wedding party. Everyone was wearing their hair up; I didn’t care how. She showed up to my wedding in 3 inch heels with a long wig and colored contacts, looking like a completely different person, and she brought an assistant! I didn’t even have an assistant! She invited a complete stranger to my wedding and reception without asking and was a whole diva the entire day. Our friendship ended that day.

GUYS!!! Huge update! The wedding is OFF!! Turns out the $7,000 was NOT for the new set of melons, the new melons were on the house because SHE WAS SLEEPING WITH THE MARRIED SURGEON FOR OVER A YEAR!!! His wife found out and she straight up tracked this bish down, and showed up at her dad’s house where she lived to confront her about it. And now there’s this whole legal mess going on. SO. MUCH. TEA.

Young women have been fooled into thinking that this kind of stuff is required for a wedding… it never was a thing. The long multi day bridal vacation away was never a thing. The bridesmaids having to pay for more than their dress, was not a thing. The required hair and makeup that the bridesmaids have to pay for was not a thing. Except for the dresses and a one night bachelorette get together, (which the bridesmaids plan themselves within the range they can afford and is NOT dictated by a bride who doesn’t have to pay for it) the brides maids aren’t supposed to be responsible for whatever else the bride/couple, come up with. They should pay for whatever outlandish stuff they decide to have for their wedding… or whatever parents have agreed to. It’s not supposed to be on your bridal party’s shoulders!
This is just a massive game of one-up man-ship that gets more out of control every year. It’s ridiculous and is all very recent as far as what has ever been the norm. The exciting part for the bride is supposed to be that she’s getting married to the love of her life. Not that she gets to spend months dictating to the poor helpless bridesmaids
My bridesmaids didn't even pay for their dresses, i did as well as jewellery (as a gift) hair and make up. One of them was heavily pregnant at the time of the wedding and the other such tiny feet, i told them whatever shoes was fine by me. The only thing they paid for was extra beauty treatments they wanted (which was discounted as my neighbour owns a beauty salon!) and just a few nights accommodation of which i paid some and helped her find a reasonably priced place too. I never understood the whole idea of months long bachelorette stuff either.
@@claregallacher2684 🙂Same with me! My friends and I were young and many had new young families, so I paid for the dresses, and I could because I didn’t go extravagant. (I have no issues with a bride who can and does go extravagant. Obviously it’s what you can afford and what you want for your wedding)
But all I was thinking about was that I was getting married, and trying to look as good as I could for the day, and getting the basics for cake, food, and a little music. The rest was about friends and family being there with us to dance to the DJs music etc. Big or small, if it’s not about the person they are marrying out of love and respect, then they are making a mistake (and certainly their poor partner probably is, even if the poor guy does love her)

I’m 57 and so I’ve been around long enough to have seen the change, all of it mostly after 2000… but it really picked up after social media became a thing… because now we have to spend money to impress all the people we don’t know, instead of just enjoying our friends and family.
I had a perfect wedding with one bridesmaid, A cake and bouquet from the local grocery store, all kids at our tiny wedding were dressed up for tricker or treat (we got married on Halloween), and we got married in my mom's garden room. Afterwards we went trick or treat in our wedding clothes (I had a black wedding dress and my husband wore all black) with the kids. Our honeymoon was a trip to the bookstore. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary this Halloween. You don't need to spend lots of money for a wonderful memorable wedding.

My Daughter and Son in law were running errands and ran into the Courthouse, asked 2 strangers to be witnesses and got married! 😊 Then they went out for Donuts 🍩 They’ve been married for 5 and 1/2 yrs and have a 4 yr old Daughter! My Son in Law called and apologized for stealing my chance to see my daughter in her dress, etc. that they wanted a marriage not a party! I stopped him telling him I thought it was romantic and wonderful ❤ He’s amazing! I was thrilled for them! If I want to see her in a dress we can go to the mall 😂 I told him any parent who would be angry doesn’t deserve him as a son in law! In the 6 yrs I’ve known him, he’s only gotten better! My Daughter is loved, respected and he is a man of God. Everything a Mom could want!

It was a beautiful, perfect day but if I could do it all over I now realize the most important part was getting to marry my best friend!!! All the other stuff was just extra that we didn’t need. I really do wish I went your route!! ❤
Not to mention all the extra STRESS it out on us and our family and friends. Weddings are built up to be the most important day of your life and if you’re not going ALL OUT and spending thousands then you’re doing it wrong. I wish we could all escape that mindset

Weddings today (including all pre wedding activities) are beyond ridiculous!!!!!!!! My husband and I have been married over 43 years. When we married there were no big pre wedding events…..no bachelorette parties, no bachelor parties. There was normally ONE bridal shower, period. We always kept in mind what our parents could afford not what I wanted I my wildest dreams. Actually my wildest dream was just to have a nice wedding, get married to the man that I loved and spend what money we had on our new household. Receptions consisted of cake, punch, mints and nuts. There were no big meals (sit down or buffet style) unless parents were rich and could afford such things. Brides today are ridiculously entitled, selfish and just crazy.
I had a similar wedding 40 years ago. It was lovely. I can't believe what weddings have morphed into these days. It's beyond ridiculous!!

There seems to be a flaw in this story. If we accept that SIL picked the ABnB location out for purpose of the surgery, then she must have already had an assumption she'd obtain the additional $ to pay for the surgery. The claim that the payment from her dad was something that came later implied it was unexpected.
My best guess: SIL guilt trip'd the dad for the money using the bridemaids' situation to gain sympathy. And the dad brought it up over cigars because he was fishing for confirmation SIL had lied, because it must have been weird that none of the bridesmaids thanked him.
Great catch! You’re right because why would she have booked it unless she already had the money for the surgery. The BM paying and her dad must’ve been pretty close together to ensure her spot on both the bib and patient rosters.

My guess is that it was also a lie, just like the swan. She needed it to keep up the rouse. My question is that normally a bachelorette party happens right before the wedding. So how is she supposed to be healed after surgery for the wedding?

@@Kordiana The update says the wedding is in May, so plenty of time for that. Also she probably had her dress altered since her chest is now bigger and that takes time, so there's that too. But she could definitely not party for the bachelorette. I got top surgery last year, and it took WEEKS to be able to safely raise my arms even just to get elbows at shoulder height, and I got weight removed, I can't imagine how it feels to have, on top of stitches, additional weight pulling at the skin and the surgery cuts and stitches. This means that at least two of the planned outfits she wanted her bridesmaid to buy a week before the trip would go to waste since she couldn't have been able to do much partying at all.
I don't think it's a lie, because getting those kind of surgery appointments mean you're planning for months in advance, there's no way she could've booked the house so close AND get an appointment for that specific date, the appointment clearly is what came first, then she built the whole bachelorette trip around it.
So she either underestimated the surgery, or planned to have all her friends fawn over her and her new boobs for the rest of the trip. Either way, she's an idiot.
I told both my Sons a few years ago that we will not contribute more than $5K (each) for a Wedding (1 day event). However, we would gladly help with closing costs and down payments when they are ready to buy their homes. If the Bride wants an expensive/exclusive/upscale wedding (always a red flag) then they are going to have to work for it.
My 2 nieces and nephew all had modest, low cost weddings because they opted instead for financial help from the family when buying their homes. And all of them got help from family so that they can purchase the homes of their choosing.

I had a wedding with 70ish people on my parents property. My dad had made a new carport in the field for his two boats and we used that as the reception area. Decorated it with cheap ikea curtains and velvet from Joanne’s. Rented plastic chairs and tables and spruced them up with table clothes and what not. The dance floor was made up of rugs on the grass and we had bought this velvet couch off Amazon as well as bar tables for lounging. Got a tiered cake from Sam’s club and decorated it up. Had the ceremony in front of two oak trees with fishing line holding more swoopy curtains and foliage on it. A lot of our centerpieces were from goodwill, antique shops and 5 below 😂 but it looked good af. I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Back yard weddings are great if you can manage. You don’t have any curfews, there’s no worries about people drunk driving because they can just sleep at the house AND if there’s any outfit mishaps you can just run inside! 😂
plus I got to have my dog with me in a familiar setting where he wasn’t scared.

It sounds like a lovely wedding. I got married in 2020 and it was a backyard ceremony with just family and close friends. Had a reception in 2021 since we had already purchased the decorations and stuff. It was perfect and we had so much fun.

Personally (for any brides and bridesmaids reading this), I love what my friends did for my bachelorette party: rather than doing matching clothes, we got matching wine glasses that say “Cheers!” and we spent the night in a cabin watching Studio Ghibli and painting things. 😊 it was super fun and very peaceful

I just can't... oh my!

UPDATE - THE WEDDING IS OFF - 3/30/2024
ALRIGHT Y'ALL - get your comfy socks and your popcorn because I've been holding on to this update for SO LONG and I have to get it all out there. I feel like at this point we've all become good friends - literally when I do these updates I like to imagine we're all together eating snacks and gossiping 😂 I'm on desktop right now so you KNOW I mean business.
ANYWAY - let me start with this: the wedding is officially OFF. I know a lot of you out there were team #CancelTheWedding so this should warm your soul. For me personally, I wanted it to work out for my brother despite her insanity :/ I was kind of hoping this would (somehow) all blow over like a bad dream and he could find normalcy again. Unfortunately that is not at all the case.
Here's what happened: when I last updated you, SIL had pulled up to the bachelorette with a set of new melons and shocked us all. We were left wondering WTF, and I told you I needed to stop the updates to protect my brother's privacy.
Well, that has all changed now and I've been given permission by my brother to spill the f*cking TEA.
My brother was aware that SIL had planned on getting a breast augmentation at some point this year - he actually knew it would be during the bachelorette trip. Despite thinking it was very weird, he really wanted to support her. So he kept her "surprise" a secret. What he did NOT know was that she may have used the bridesmaids money (or even her dad's) to finance it.
But it turns out that she did not in fact use our money or her dad's money to pay for the new titties. That's because her procedure was on the house. Why you ask?
Because she has been having an affair with the surgeon for over a year.
Yes you read that correctly. She's been diddling her married plastic surgeon for more than 14 months. He is a VERY WELL KNOWN PLASTIC SURGEON and his legal team has been ON ME LIKE WHITE ON RICE. There are limits to what I can disclose. At this current moment I have been advised not to disclose the state he practices in, his name, or any personally identifying details.
Back to the story….
He wanted to fly her out for a complimentary titty upgrade!! We found out because his WIFE found her sad little influencer IG page, tracked her down, AND SHOWED UP TO THE FAMILY HOME!!! Which would be her father's house because she still lives there.
There is so much more to say that I think I'm going to have to split this into 2 updates because my fingers are legit going numb. I REALLY wanted to get that off my chest. I know you might be wanting to know the specifics like:
So WHERE did the money go after all??
How did the wife find out and what happened when she showed up?? (That's an update in ITSELF!!)

UPDATE #7 - The Missing $7k - 4/7/24
Alright friends - if you’re still with me on this wild ride, it’s time to spill some of the final tea in this crazy kettle. I want to start with the details of SIL’s illicit affair with the plastic surgeon. Much of the detail was provided to me by my brother. When he ended the engagement, he asked SIL to give him the whole truth, after all it’s the least she could do. She fessed up, and my brother has given me permission to share. Here’s what happened:
The wife learned about the affair thanks to a pair of Tiffany diamond earrings, which apparently went missing from her jewelry collection. At some point she goes down to the hospital to bring her husband lunch, and sees a female patient wearing the EXACT PAIR of earrings she’s lost.
And you guessed it, that patient was our beloved bride. Now I don’t know the timeline on when she noticed these earrings went missing, but I do know that she saw my SIL wearing the earrings at the hospital while getting a consultation for her free melon job. This would have been long before the bachelorette trip, most likely on one of their earlier “visits” while SIL was flying out of town to see him.
The wife at some point brings this up to her husband (the surgeon) who probably plays it off as a coincidence. In her confession to my brother, SIL admitted to stealing the wife’s earrings during one of their “visits.” The surgeon demanded them back after realizing the wife spotted SIL wearing them that day. Problem is, SIL doesn’t have the earrings anymore. She claims she lost them. She asked the surgeon how much the earrings cost and swore she would make amends by sending him the money. He reveals they are from Tiffany’s and cost about $7500.
And there you have it - the mystery of the $7k is solved.
When SIL’s father offered to cover the cost of the airbnb, she probably saw a golden opportunity to snag almost the full amount of money she needed to cover the earrings. She did admit to my brother that she sent her dad’s money to the surgeon after he paid for the airbnb.
And TBH I don’t know who’s crazier - SIL for stealing the earrings or the surgeon for continuing to have an affair with someone who literally stole from his wife!! ANYWAY back to the story.
So I’ll never know if the surgeon gifted his wife a pair of new diamond sparklers or not, but I do know that she didn’t let her suspicion go. I don’t know for SURE if the earrings were the giveaway, or if she found out later. She ended up getting SIL’s name somehow and looking her up on social media. How she ended up at the family home I’ll probably never know, but I’m sure anyone with a name and a mission can find an address online.
I’m not at liberty to share the details of the confrontation between SIL and the wife. This update ends here, but I’ll be back with at least one more for you soon.
UPDATE #8 - Where are they now? - 4/15/24
Okay everyone, I received the green light to share just a tidbit more on this story. I am out here scrambling to keep up with the demand for this tea but stay with me - it will all eventually be spilled (one way or another.)
For this update I wanted to address some of the main questions I get from all of you onboard the crazy train with me. Most people are curious to know the current status of the main players like ex-SIL, the surgeon, and a lot of kind folks want to know how my brother is holding up. So I’ve decided to do a “Where are they now” type of update for you today.
Let’s start with the surgeon - and boy is he a popular subject in my comments! (Quick thank you to everyone for being so respectful of my request that you avoid speculating names. Glad to see you’ve moved it to your DMs 😂I’m here for that!) Anyway back to the surgeon - so to be fair, there isn’t a lot I know about him in general. But I can tell you that YES, the wife DID file for divorce. AS SHE SHOULD 💅 And sadly that’s pretty much the limit on what I can reveal about those two at this time. I will add that most divorce records are public, though the surgeon strikes me as the kind of guy to get it sealed. But hypothetically, if someone wanted to look up a public divorce record, they could.
Moving on to ex-SIL……..sigh. I’m debating whether to continue giving her any more attention, even if anonymously. Before I give this update, I do want to say again for the record that I have my brother’s full support in sharing this information. ex-SIL decided to move out of state shortly after my brother called off the wedding. And maybe you saw this coming, but she relocated to be close to the surgeon. Yep. So sad. But yes, given his official divorce, those two are seemingly staying together. This disgusts me and I have so much more to say, but for now I’m moving on.
I’m going to end on a positive, note - I am thrilled to report that my brother is doing absolutely fantastic given the circumstances. He has moved into a new place for a fresh start. Even though he was not living with ex-SIL, he wanted a new perspective and to be out of that place filled with bad memories. Good for him! He also told us the other day that he’s taken the first steps to opening his own restaurant in town, something he has always wanted to do.
And for those who watched this in episode format on my IG/TikTok - no, Eugene will ABSOLUTELY NOT be signing my brother up for Tinder 🤣

I really want the update in May. I think there were earlier warning signs that the bride was out there before the bachelorette party came up. Who needs 12 people in their bridal party? So after listening to the story... So I had the perfect wedding. Just me and my now-husband, the two witnesses (friends of us), and the officiant who did the civil wedding with the song that's is favourite of my husband and me. We went for a romantic meal later, and then spent the week after just having fun in whatever we wanted to do... Never had any regrets about the wedding whatsoever. It was really intimate and fun. 🙂

One thing my sister in law did when she had her bach trip was everyone wore what they wanted, she just made sure that she had a veil and a sash to wear the whole trip. SOO simple but effective and everyone got to wear what they wanted (just not white lol)

Like, she let us help pick the bridesmaid dresses to make sure they worked for everyone, she kept the bachelorette super reasonable and did her best to make sure we wouldn’t have to buy outfits (one night we did What Not To Wear but we were supposed to bring something we’d only been able to wear once and it was a big slumber party type deal). She also was like, “Hey, I know a lot of y’all are from out of town, so no pressure to come to the bridal shower, legit don’t worry.” TLDR pretty sure my bestie who is getting married next month is a saint.

I was a bridesmaid once and the bride was so chill, the only matching outfits we had were our dresses for the wedding. Her and her mom did most of the wedding planning and made most of the decorations and the only thing she asked us to pay for was our dresses and those were only like 250 bucks a piece. The bachelorette party was small and fun, we got a decent sized hotel room at a casino and just partied in the room and went down to the casino to watch some live music. Everyone had fun and the wedding was amazing. Also no one had to buy shoes for the wedding cuz she wanted everyone to wear converse. The bride herself wore one green one and one purple one since those were the wedding colors. I'm so thankful that my experience being a bridesmaid was fun instead of toxic.
The only time I’ve seen ladies in bridesmaid sashes and matching outfits was at renaissance festival and they were all drunk as hell and having a blast…. But tbh ren faire folk built different 😂
