Secret setup Rock crabs from goat island out from dunwich north Straddie fishing the coffee rock in the rainbow channel and the coffee rock off the western side of Moreton. Hour either side of the slack tide.
love your show mate ... actually just left Brisbane after 22 years back in my home land of NZ ...I was taken fishin once out at Jacobs Well with a good mate , and since been back the first 7 mths all i did was fish .love your narration very informative ,
Thanks mate, ahh yes your in the land of the big snapper and kingies!! Would love to get over there this year but the price of flights is out of control! Haha
Hadn't seen anything on social media and in the intro I was saying to myself... God please don't be a 79...then you mentioned canopy and I was like...nooooo... then you walked around to the front...👌👌👌 woohoo... great choice, ca t wait to see the build
Hahaha love this…You know what, if it wasn’t the Chev it was going to be a 79 😂 I just like the basic and Toughness of the 79, the fact you can’t kill them and they are pretty much built for Australia….. But….after driving the Chev now for 2 months, I bloody love it, we can’t wait to get it all kitted out
What the area you live in. Not that I'm coming anytime soon. I'm in WA. South of Perth. The prawning looks amazing. Love watching you vids. Cheerz to you both. Cheerz
Congratulations guys!! Don’t stress. Love seeing your channel being successful and what you have are only the fruits of your hard work! Keep them coming and I’ll keep watching!!!! Thanks
Not show off mate, bloody nice rig. I think a lot of fisho’s are considering the Silverado. Be keen to see a long term review in 12-24 months once you’ve given it some stick! Love the channel, keep it up guys!
Great episode mate. As a fellow fisherman that loves fishing with the wife, you guys do a great job. Obviously I won’t ask for your fishing spots but could I please ask do you use south passage bar to get offshore. I’ve been told it can get a bit sketchy?
Thanks mate! Yeah fishing is our favourite thing to do together, We haven’t got to do it as much as we would have like to lately, work has been really busy. South passage bar is the bar I use to go offshore locally, some days it can be extremely dangerous, and other days you could take a tiny tinny through it. Basically any easterly swell over 1.2m is going to Stand up a bit through there, especially if the tide is on the run out. Southerly swell can be any size really as it goes straight past the bar. There are 3 passages through, the middle passage is best when there’s a swell on, amity passage is good under 1m of swell. Hope this helps you out a bit mate.
Awsome video as always, long time watcher first time commenter, I've Been thinking of changing out to lithium for my 36v electric but have heard mixed reviews, what charger do you use for them as I have an on board prosport 3 bay charger for my electric batteries but apparently you can't use then for lithium, also you said there's a converter to change from 12v to 36v so van you not series them together to make 36v?
Most 12v lithium batteries on the market can't be connected in parallel let alone series so your options for your electric would be either buy a 36v lithium battery or use a 12v lithum with a step up converter. The 12v option would be the cheaper option but not buy much. Also it allows you to pull that battery out and use it in a different setting when not using the boat, like in the back of your car for example. As far as chargers are concerned all the more budget friendly lithum batteries on the market need a charger with a dedicated lithium profile. A couple of the more expensive batteries can be charged on a standard 12v lead acid battery charger but you pay a premium for those batteries. To see the full benefits of lithium i.e super fast charge times you would have to upgrade your charger to a high current model appropriately sized to your battery with a lithium charging profile, and that applies to both your dcdc and mains. Also your charger would be voltage appropriate if using a 36v battery you would need a 36v charger. If you were using a 12v battery with step up converter you would need a 12v charger. Hope that helps
