    tldr: use any face cleansing oil or oil cleanser or whatever you wanna call it.
    let me save you hours on your next removal.
    get a good face cleansing oil. something that emulsifies upon rinsing with water.
    i reckon any good face cleansing oil would do. but, then i've tried 2 diff brands both works differently.
    weird. but, yeah.
    the one that i've been using (and still kept using whenever im removing/reinstalling my tape ins) is called "the face shop rice water bright cleansing oil in the rich version.
    there are two versions, light and rich. i've tried the light one and it works about the same. but, the rich version works a little better.
    it removes any glue gunks way faster and easier.
    all the glue residues are broken down, and u could actually feel they disappear when u gently rub them with ur fingers whilst removing.
    there's like a pump, and u simply use one pump from the top of the tape sandwich. use ur fingers to guide the liquid into the tapes and slightly massage it in.
    they'll sorta seeped down in the middle of the tapes, and within 15-20 seconds, they'll slide right off.
    no residue left on your hair. even if there are, u can simply pump a little more and gently rub them using ur fingers.
    tips:
    1. start from the top of ur head. this way, some of the cleansing oil that u've pumped out from all the top tape sandwiches before will drip down onto the other tapes under/below it and seeped in between the tapes even before you pump any cleansing oil on them.
    2. gently massage the oil into the newly grown hairs that are either knotted or slightly matted. u know what i mean.
    3. do not use comb or detangler comb on the knotted/matted roots before u detangle them using the cleansing oil first. so use whatever cleansing oil u've pumped out on the tapes and gently massage ur roots to detangle them. once they are completely detangled, only then u use any comb, etc.
    4. everyone's hair growth rate is different but, as im putting them on fresh every time about 5mm away from the roots, mine grew about an inch to 1.5 inches or so within 5-6 weeks. i always reinstall them myself every 5-6 weeks or whenever the tapes starts to twirl which always happened within the 5-6 weeks mark for me.
    5. by using face cleansing oil, it makes the glue residue removal on the tapes way easier/faster. just scrape whatever glue residue left on the tapes using your fingernails. they came right off.
    6. it's easier to clean too. just massage the oil on any glue residue. rinse with water thoroughly. if there's any glue residue that u missed, just pump more of the cleansing oil and repeat. same goes for the tapes.
    7. use clarifying shampoo on both, ur own hair and the tape ins. this will help with the adherence on ur next reinstall.
    i've never tried any solutions that's made specifically for tape in removal. so if anyone have tried something that works great, pls share.
    until then, ima keep using this method.
    hope it helps!

    Wow I never knew you could apply olive oil to your hair but after you explained everything it all makes good sense. I’m sure there’s some health benefits for your hair as well good information

    • @ClareWalch
      @ClareWalch  2 года назад

      Yes it creates good slip and breaks down the glue slightly. Also very moisturising for the natural hair too 😁

    Using oil in the hair is good for removing lots of glues and adhesive on the hair. I’ve never used olive oil but I have used coconut oil, and castor oil. Castor oil and hair conditioner is the top secret to getting it out without taking your own hair in the process 🤫 😏

    Thank you so much for posting this for this brand because I was thinking I was doing something wrong. Mine won't come out easily either. I have tried so many methods and can not get them out without leaving the take behind. I'm pretty sure it's just the tape this brand uses. Did you ever find out a better way? I have about 12 left to remove and I'm stressed!!!!

      You are very welcome. Oh I 100% agree! It's not usually as tricky. Just perseverance and patience I'm afraid. Using the method shown got there in the end but took way longer than usual. The best tape remover I've tried is the Beauty Works one though 💜

    I here horror stories about this brand and removing the extensions I bought 4 and I’m scared to use them

    • @ClareWalch
      @ClareWalch  2 года назад

      I've had them 3 times over now and yes they are more difficult to remove than other brands but with a bit of patience and time it's fine 🙂 I don't use heat on them when I fit them now and they're not half as difficult as before 💜
