  • Thank you so much for watching how I remove my tape ins at home. I was so nervous this style was going to leave my hair damaged but I was 100% WRONG! I have very fine hair so I have to be extra careful with certain styles. I am so relieved and IMPRESSED! I was pleasantly surprised at how light weight and flat this look is. So natural and versatile! I hope this video was helpful!

      @@ChakaStarkes Omgosh I really want to! I would probably need to go to a professional though. I've never tried to silk press my own hair (or gotten a silk press ever 😑), so I wouldn't trust myself to do that part myself. But I could see myself paying for a silk press and trim, then doing the install myself.

    • @ChakaStarkes
      @ChakaStarkes  Год назад +2

      Hey love! Thank you for watching! I feel you, I was super nervous at first. It’s very similar to glue in technique. Proper removal and maintenance is very important with this style. I’ve heard horror stories about people experience with tape ins. If had a negative experience with adhesive in your hair/scalp or blending your natural with weave tape ins might not be the best option. I’m happy I tried it but I understand how this trend doesn’t work for every type of hair.

    Thank you for this video! I want to try them, but I‘m worried if my natural hair blends well. My hair is so fine that when pressed it‘s so lightweight that it flies up. I wonder which texture will be the best to blend. Which one would you choose? Kinky straight or curly (flat ironed) to blend best with your hair? Was the hair you used a silky texture or yaki/ Kinky straight?

    • @ChakaStarkes
      @ChakaStarkes  2 года назад +3

      I did the silky straight and it blended well. I’m going to try wavy next!🤗 If you have a similar texture to me, I suggest straight or wavy because it won’t be too heavy. Let me know what you end up getting.

      Yes! You can definitely re-straighten just like you would with your natural hair. If you prefer not to put a lot of heat on your hair, maybe consider a wavy texture. This is definitely not a protective style. Your hair is out unlike a sew in when you hair is all braided away.
