The ost for this game is amazing...and whats even more awesome is that Matt Furniss composed half the songs.the boss theme and also mickey in the tugboat theme are ny favorites.and the moose chase is as close as mode 7 as any genesis game can.get.i love this game and its soundtrack.
So beautiful OST. This game brings me wonderful memories. Just another piece of amazingness directly from Genesis. I don't know how can people compare games that existed in both Genesis and SNES and say that Nintendo music is better. They just can't reproduce the bass reached by SEGA composers. One of my favorites on Genesis is Maui Mallard, which have Giacchino involved, too. Disney did so many incredible games on that decade, it's a shame they couldn't keep it up after the 2000s.
I had (and still have) this game on the PS1... played it on the PS2. I remember it being super hard. Only found out about the Mega Drive version years later. I was surprised how similar both versions looked.
Dustin, I don't know if you can hear it, but I can very faintly hear the DAC ladder effect noise in some songs here, meanwhile I go and turn Mickey Mania on with my model 1 and WHOA! The ladder effect is insanely loud on the YM2612 with this game. I like it that way personally, however, as I believe the ladder effect is an essential part of the sound experience with this console. With the DAC noise being much quieter on the 3438, a lot of the echo/reverb of this soundtrack that is heard on a model 1 is lost. Matt Furniss really used that noise to great effect in this game, I gotta say.
Also I wanted to say, that recently my model 1 had a bit of a stroke with the amp for the headphone jack, as one day out of nowhere I was getting no sound from the left side of my headphones. But through the DIN port on the back I still got full sound, so the amp circuit for the headphone jack was pretty much the prime suspect of the problem for me. Turns out my hunch was right. After getting that amp replaced, I now had full sound from the jack again, but for some odd reason, I feel as if the audio is less muffled than before with the new amp. That's a good thing for me though.
A lot of people here seem to really like Inner Sanctum, and I've gotta say, I definitely agree! It's one of my favourites out of all the tracks that this game has to offer. The music is what makes the Mega Drive/Genesis version so special. My favourites in this game (no particular order): Inner Sanctum The Giant's Lair Mickey & the Beanstalk Climbing the Beanstalk The Prince & the Pauper Moose Hunters (3-1)/Dungeon (6-3) EOL Boss 1 Captain Pete (EOL Boss 2) Game Over... Continue?
Flawless soundtrack but the sound test didn't give you the actual name of the tracks. I thought I'd be too lazy to do it but eh, here you go (in the same order as you put the tracks): 00:00 Steamboat Willie 02:13 The Wharf 04:57 Hallway of Terror (Mad Doc 1) 06:38 Castle of Terror (Mad Doc 2) 08:14 Elevator of Doom (Mad Doc 3) 09:35 Inner Sanctum (Mad Doc 4) 11:02 Moose Chase (Moose 1) 12:17 The Lonesome Ghosts (Ghosts 1) 14:07 Phantasmal Jokers (Ghosts 2) 16:17 Mickey and the Beanstalk (Garden) 18:16 The Giant's Lair (Tunnels) 20:35 Climbing the Beanstalk (Steps) 23:20 The Giant's Buffet (Table) 24:13 The Prince and the Pauper (Library) 25:57 Moose Hunters (Dungeon) 28:30 The Band Concert (Whirlwind) 29:51 The Mad Doctor (EOL Boss 1) 31:16 Captain Pete (EOL Boss 2) 32:10 Rising Flames (EOL Boss 3) 33:24 Title Theme/Well Done 33:32 Get Ready 33:38 Game Over 33:53 Continue? There's also a beautiful but sadly unused options theme (ruclips.net/video/VHClXTZnXFw/видео.html). Personal fav' are Inner Sanctum, Garden & Captain Pete. Also can't resist Wharf's wackiness. Steamboat Willie I prefer the SNES version, it better suits the supposed dirty sound of an old record. Talking about this, anyone know where I can find a real hardware recording of the SNES version?
Thanks for the track names. If there is enough demand for the SNES version of this, I could record it. Provided it has a sound test like the Genesis version.
Something has to be done anyway. Apparently SNES emulators tend to tweak the sound while Genesis emulators tend to mess the sound (when it's not completely ruined, check out what some Genesis emulators do with Death and Return of Superman or Vectorman II for examples ;S)... Seriously, sometimes it looks like a conspiracy where Nintendo, in addition to being cheap, were also very lucky: they restricted the most important third parties during the NES/Master System era (namely Capcom & Konami which is mainly why they gained so much ground on the console market back then), they had some cheap cash cows such as Pokemon (bleh) & even the emulation manages to bring its own share of crap... So yeah, the world needs real hardware recordings of SNES games as well, for fair comparisons, for great justice! BTW did my 1st post here is marked as spam or something?
OK. A friend just told me that now my post appears on its display, thanx. But about hyperlinks, is there a way to post them so that they aren't marked as spam? I already saw different kind of hyperlinks but I've yet to know how to create them :/ (I checked a bit but didn't find anything)
Hey ben. The game is indeed better on Mega Drive, by quite a huge margin, but music wise I can't really tell yet as I only compared a few tracks. As I said I prefer Steamboat Willie on SNES but the others sound weird on it, The Wharf for example seems to miss some notes. I'll tell you! Currently I am also comparing Saturday Night Slam Master & yet I mostly prefer the Mega Drive music. I'm pleasantly surprised by this game's soundtrack. Also love the Hokuto no Ken art style.
Tommy Trouble Tugboat Terry The Evil Scientist Deer Catchers The Lonely Spirits Tommy and the Beanstalk The Music Play The King and The Kingdom Just call them that incase disney causes a copyright strike to this video ok?

Inner Sanctum gets me every time. Seems like a really deep and contemplative song for a Disney Sega game lol
Mad Doc 4 is absolute masterpiece
Very crisp music from that sound chip.👌a beast
Moose Chase slaps
Edit: This whole soundtrack slaps

It really shows off how versatile and talented Matt is. The songs he wrote fit right in with the songs he didn't write.
Just shows what the Genesis could do in the right hands. I have this for Sega CD, and I'm shocked how close it sounds.
Inner Sanctum is such a phenomenal track, it really sucks it got left out of the SCD/PS1 versions.
Saga Saga
I came here just for that track alone
I don't know how many times I've pulled up this vid just to listen to Inner Sanctum. in my top 10 MD tunes for sure.

Oh, and this is certainly one of the hardest Disney games ever, just to throw some extra spice in its evident graphical and sound beauty.
The snare drum sounds like the one used in Earthbound
Inner Sanctum is such a masterpiece. Does anyone know which of the four credited composers wrote it?
Thanks! I wrote that one.
@@MattFurniss A reply from the man himself, what an honor! Thanks for writing something so simple and special
@@MattFurniss The Mr. Furniss imself commented. How do y'all like that.

Oh Joy!! I've rented this game a lot from Blockbuster not just to play, but to listen to the music. Thanks!
drums are mp3like quality, dayum
i mean, they are SNES samples

Yeah, it did. Posts with a lot of time codes in them tend to trip the filter and I have to go back and unmark them.

In Sega cd and PSX, instead of get ready we have, a voice clip of Mickey about the level
i cried ;-; it's nostalgic
It’s literally the same soundtrack from the snes version sega cd and ps1 version of this game literally guys
Dungeon, chase ghost, doc,table, steps
Thanks god they didn't try to make it sound orchestrated like the SNES did, this OST i my personal favorite of the 3 (PS1/Sega CD, SNES, Genesis)
Micky mania: **uses steamboat willie song**
Fnf: this song is cool i hope ill add it
I'm wondering who did exactly which track. Didn't know Michael Giacchino (nowadays a big Hollywood composer) worked on this.
Not a lot going on with most of these tracks, but the instrumentation is unlike any other Genesis soundtrack.
Very nice.
I really like the boss themes (The Mad Doctor, Captain Pete & Rising Flames! ) Who composed them ? Furniss, Joustra or Giacchino ?
Tommy Trouble
Tugboat Terry
The Evil Scientist
Deer Catchers
The Lonely Spirits
Tommy and the Beanstalk
The Music Play
The King and The Kingdom
Just call them that incase disney causes a copyright strike to this video ok?
Could you do Donld Duck as Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow? It actually has some nice tunes and I need to hear it from hardware!
keep
mickey
happy.
Hey Dustin, I got a request for El Viento when you have the chance.
EDIT: I don't know why I called you Justin lmao
You wouldn't be the first to do that. Yeah, I'll do El Viento soon
sorry if i'm bothering you.
could you upload the smurfs soundtrack from the genesis?
Seconded, how come nobody's uploaded it?!
mickey mouse mania soundtrack
