      The problem with Alien 3 is that it requires a lot of level memorization, and great ability to deal with the purposetely clunky controls. If Ripley didn't have tank controls, the game would be much smoother :P
      It's one of the most frustrating games I've managed to beat, that's for sure. But after you know every level's layout, it even kinda becomes predictable ^^

    • @x.kalibre
      @x.kalibre 8 лет назад +5

      ***** It's one of those games that is meant to be replayed over and over until you know each level welll enough to make it through ^^ But yeah, few things are more stressful in videogames than Alien 3's timer running out, Ripley moving at a snail's pace, and you just KNOW you're not gonna make it and have to sit there until you can restart the level :S don't forget to change to 9 lives in the options menu :P

    Amo la canción del nivel 5, antes la odiaba pero a la vez era tan especial por ser de la única cadena de mapas que si hacías mal los pasos, no podías ganar el mapa y llegar a ese stage fácilmente tomaba 20 min y luego tenías que estar viendo que te faltaba y donde estaban los prisionero, te sacabas como 10 horas de juego más tratando de encontrar a los prisioneros del stage 5, además pega con el ambiente sumamente hostil en una zona metalúrgica, cuestión, queda genial además de ser la última zona, es más especial todavía, que buen juego lpm

    Stage Four. The level fades in and you realise you really are in trouble. The track opens with crushing despair - you're going to die here. Is that a chill wind or the alien's breath in the background? You can never see well in this area, so you'll never know. Then the track builds, slowly at first. One foot in front of the other. I have both versions, this one and the SNES. The music on SNES was beautiful and scarier but this one has a kick to it.... different but both are nice for the respected systems

    This game “back then” was hard as fuck. Didn’t help that the Xeno terrified me as a kid, so I played it in small doses and would end up getting spooked out. I finally beat it on an emulator in my 20’s and loved every moment of it.

    IMO the concept of FM-synthesis is still the latest revolutionary innovation in sound design. The progress has stopped there. That's why Genesis tracks are still catchy and fresh. Everything is done right in this OST, just compare with that from SNES

    Anyone know if this is the same as the film score? Couple I skipped but the use of Bass and The Synth Lines is quite interesting.
