Thanks - I will use this in class for my students as a nice review of gravity! Your concepts are described well, and the graphics are easy to understand and accentuate the main points.
hey I just want to say that your explanation was good and really easy to understand and you kinda explained a whole page with a 4 min video thanks:) sorry about my English its my second language
I have a question.. is there anything else going on besides gravity when the water falls with the cup? Is their any phenomenon of physics going on besides gravity? Thank you!
The water and cup are more dense than the air. That is why they fall. If the cup and water were in a little boat it would float because of buoyancy. You can’t assume gravity to prove gravity. That is not science . Gravity remains only wishful thinking in globe believers minds. Watch David Weiss videos on imaginary gravity. ruclips.net/video/J2bKwtHnDWM/видео.html
So with what they say about gravity, all this experiment is telling me is that the glass and the water have the same density re: they both fell at the same rate!
By 9.8m/s2? Hello flat earther. The cup will be faster than light within a single year. Since nothing can be accelerated to speed of light it's impossible. Moreover, it can't breach speed of life. So it'll stop accelerating when it reaches 2.99 x 10^8 m/s
@@aaryajain6396 Lol. What makes you think I am a flat-earther? :v And, my question wasn't about the extreme relativistic scenerio. I should have clarfied it more. I was actually thinking about the water movement inside a container (with a single hole) while it's accelerating (a>g) upward from the ground.
the earth revolves around the sun it is the sun heats a surface of the earth this surface becomes positive therefore another negative surface returns it is put thanks to the two poles which are negative and which are attracted by the sun. And the mass is the number of elements that can be heated.
Excuse me Well, thats cool but m asking, do u think there is gravity, r u sure, if so, how u can explain it this GRAVITY being selective In ur video why u dont talk about pressure of atmosphere, which u ignore it. Well u repeat ur experiment in zero gravity Also why ur gravity cannot hold a balloon of h2 to fly up, really selective
If this is your question, atmospheric pressure doesn’t harm the cup because it’s only 1 atm, or about 14.696 psi. This isn’t nearly enough to cause damage to us or the cup. For reference, a bicycle tire is filled with about 100 psi. This whole experiment wouldn’t work in zero gravity because no force would be pulling the water down, so it would just float in the air, not go down. Helium is lighter than air, so the heavier air particles move under it causing the ballon to travel higher. Hope this answered your questions.
@@hukk2010 yeah in reality, all the water, that you observe , is contained . Cup, bath ,pool , lake. And yes even the ocean. And water always finds its level and lays flat. You can level out anything with water
@@therussells4950 You can observe that an ocean is curved just by measuring the angle to Polaris. If you travel directly towards it and the angle drops 1° every 69 miles, the ocean cannot be flat. Basic trigonometry.

excellent video i needed for my students
Thank you for this video.
it helped me at the last moment.

Hey Sci Guys, I got a question about the Bedford Levels experiment. Have any experience about it?
really love your videos +The Sci Guys awesome stuff
+Mr Hizzlo Thanks!! Glad you like them. If you have any suggestions on new experiments you want us to do let us know.
I loved when you did the experiment
Thank you
This helped me out a lot
Finally someone recent ive found in these
I love the gravity jokes
What Is pun prison
I will post this video for my flat earth friend.
It probably won’t help. You need to start from a very low base to think Earth is flat.
Prof Phil Bell some people are willfully ignorant....
@@profphilbell2075 i like the way they used water in a container 🤣🤣
Thank you!
Had to do this for science project

very well done!!
What would happen if the water cup is accelerating upward?

Great video guys! If only you had a slow motion camera ;) !
