Day 3: Yo Knox, love the channel and work on the breakdowns. I would love for you to react to more Coast Contra songs[the realest freestyle, redbull spiral freestyle, straightening freestyle, activated, queen and slim, family, disruptive freestyle] on the channel please my brother
Factz!! He's the #1 reactor for me when it comes to the breakdowns. He takes his craft seriously, and I respect anybody that puts in that time & effort to educate the listeners.
He normally is very impressive, but in this case he's sooooooo off with like 90% of his breakdown. This song is very L.A. and for those who speak the language we speak in L.A., it's very straightforward... it's really not that deep. And the stuff being said has specific meanings. But it was very entertaining to watch him try.🤷🏾♂️😂
It’s slept on so much. The beat is so unusual but I love it with their flows.. Especially Hitta J3’s verse, “Twenty-one, flag on my head like a Taliban Twenty-five, feelin' like the box, it was full of sand At the cemetery, fuck that, that's where I could've been”
I’ve been bumping this album for days. Kendrick is one of the greatest to ever do it, without question. Shout out to Knox for breaking it down like no other.
Rapping over this feels like a magic trick. I'd need a metronome in my ear for this. It's like someone dropped the beat down a flight of stairs lol. I love it.
The lovers of this track can gather here in peace I see 😅. This beat is 🔥🔥 I wish they could do a cypher on this, with a good mix of known and unknown rappers.
Haha.. the haters were saying K Dot only gave props at Pop Out only. He said im putting them on this album. You are right Knox, this is Kendricks's Makaveli 7 day theory album!! And I'm loving it!!
A lot of ppl dont like this one but as a musician-im lovin it...the off ass beat is SO kendrick...and that little rip in the background behind peysoh's verse is 🔥 hitta and peysoh sound great btw. Searching their music now from memphis tn
Fourteen, ridin' minibikes with some dead friends Twenty-one, flag on my head like a Taliban Twenty-five, feelin' like the box, it was full of sand At the cemetery, fuck that, that's where I could've been
Everyday I have a new favorite song on this album. Knox has to go down as one of the best breakdown pages of all time, i skipped everybody elses for these
Knox not gonna lie your monetization strategy is A1. The slow drip reactions are actually really enjoyable, and you a GENIUS for recognizing that everyone would play this album on repeat like a MF so your videos still get their well deserved views.
When I hear you praising Kendrick for putting some of his shine on smaller artists I can’t help but smile Knox, because I’ve never seen you miss an opportunity to do the same thing by hyping up fellow artists and reactors. ❤
Blitz refence is actually related to chess, which is a game mode that requires players to play faster and finish the game as quick as possible. Kenny suggests that he blitzed his opponents in chess with quick moves. MTG? maybe..
Holy shit, you're right. Idunno if they planned it. But knowing how Kendrick gets down. I wouldn't be surprised if it started as an accident, but Kendrick just said, "Nah, keep all of that."
GNX is also a Buick Grand national GNX which is on the album art. Further more the GNX was the most disrespectful car on the street at the time. It absolutely destroyed V8s with a v6 turbo. Even further they were only ever made black paint with black grill. It's nickname used to be Darth Vader. Cuz when you saw them at a race they were standing on business.
I just realized another layer to the album title GNX, back in the 80's corvette was considered the fastest car with the most HP and then the GNX came along beating it in performance with a smaller engine a V6 turbo. this might be a shot at people who considered Kendrick to be a smaller artist than drake. ''TELL EM KENDRICK DID IT''!!
once the dust is settled on the album, people will come back and appreciate this track. all of them flows differently on such a simple off beat track, yet captivating you with their lyricism. i really love this track 😊
Before I watch can we take a sec for Tupac and Biggie sat together, differences a side, looking down at diddy right now finding that Sh1t hilarious. Obvs side note, I think they will also be agreeing Kendrick is the goat ❤❤❤
I love the juxtaposed beats! I the intro video on Not Like Us ended up on this mixtape, the intro on this on should be for the album coming up🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ Let's Goooooooo
17:02 DOA stands for Dead on Arrival. Meaning the first responders got there and dude was dead. So since he couldn't snitch he's pretty much telling on himself.
I feel like the sandbox line could also have been a reference to the war in Iraq. I’ve heard people who were deployed over there refer to it as the sandbox and combined with the taliban line and the Hussain line it could be a comparison between the war overseas and the war the her faced everyday just living where and how he was living.
Everybody has to tell their children & grandchildren that "Kendrick did it". Not only did he shmurder Drake, he caused the West, gangs/sets to unite & beat his opponent in a rap beef so bad the weenie decided to sue him @ least twice within 24hrs. Kendrick for President 2028! 😂❤
Hey Knox, I totally believe that Kendrick made this album for the super bowl. This album is Kendrick bring West Coast to the Super bowl! He might go on coast and also take West Coast to every city in United States. ***Thoughts
Honestly, i feel you man, kdot said it himself, "im still am old school Gemini" im feeling a second album coming, which would be opposite in feel to this one
Yo @KnoxHill u got me wondering...how crazy of a concept would it be to really hammer home the twins/gemini/yin yang theme by dropping another mirroring 12 tracks with capital lettering. They could literally have the same titles or be related to their opps in some way. I find it interesting how in luther, man at the garden, & dodger blue the titles aren't in the songs...what if the twin to man at the garden is titled i deserve it all? 🤷🏾♂️ *sidebar* I can already see him doing luther with SZA, matg with Nas doing One Mic, & bringing SWV for ❤pt6 at the Super Bowl. It would be lit af!!🔥🔥
This album ia like an intro to REAL WEST SIDE MUSIC. He say in the music that he been out here and now he back "reincarnated " by all his influences. He reference Bell Hooks who talks about art for the people not for a white audience describing blk art but art full of the culture. THIS IS WHAT HE IS DOING... BACK HOME..TO PUT THE WEST AND HIMSELF on another level. The heroes journey!!!
11:41 Rosecranzt I know it's a mis-hearing, but I'm giving this an extra level. - Rosencranzt is a courtier to King Claudius in Shakespeare's "Hamlet". Friend of Prince Hamlet. Well connected, well respected, and if he had arrived the play might have been really different. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead - (Big absurdist play) - imagine what could have happened to the courtiers who never made it. Very trippy.
That syllable skip on run is a style perfected by Spanish rappers (Spain) makes senses it influences the west coast. I actually feel sad about all that don’t know what they do out there or don’t speak Spanish to appreciate the lyrics 🔥
Kendrick rlly put me on to peysoh. I had seen his name once or twice but never rlly looked into him. This track made me go thru peysoh catalog a bit, he had dropped 2+2 like the day after Kendrick dropped this album featuring NLE choppa, I clicked that song, heard his verses, and immediately went thru more of his songs, peysoh is definitely one of the more talented artist featured on this album. I’ve liked every song I’ve heard of peysoh.
Feels like way back in the day when people would create music through garage band. I thought it was giving that type of collaboration vibe. Real raw and gritty sound. Everything now is so ideal and perfectly polished you just don’t get this especially from a high level artist.

Blitz refence is actually related to chess, which is a game mode that requires players to play faster and finish the game as quick as possible. Kenny suggests that he blitzed his opponents in chess with quick moves. MTG? maybe..
Also blitz in football is rushing QB to making a mistake, like MTG exactly as you said.
This song is fire. GNX with that Cali flow.
Straight into the song I love it!
I think there's a TV show scheme in that last verse too. The Wire, Bob the Builder, Lizzie McGuire, DuckTales, not sure if I missed any others
