My daughter hadn't seen the movie. It was at the comedic ending when the TV was flipped on. I told her to stay and watch. We both howled. The ending works so well for those who have never seen the movie.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who has seen this movie more than twenty times! I love the chemistry between Emma and Ryan and the movie is hilarious from start to finish.
Everybody is talking about how perfect the chemistry between Emma and Ryan was, but the chemistry that sells the movie is between Ryan and Steve. XD Also, underrated performances of the movie have to be Marissa Tomei and Joey King.
Ryan Gosling is one of those men that ages gracefully..They get more sexier as they age! George Clooney, Patrick Dempsey, and Keanu Reeves are in the same boat.
The greatest compliment I ever received: Visiting Miami, the bar Duffy's. Meet a girl and we have fun. We go to another bar and then her place. We do it twice, then asleep. 2 hours later, I wake her, and we do it again. Then 2 hours later, I wake her AGAIN, and we do it again. About to sleep for reals, she kindly says to me: "Did you just get out of prison?" 😎

4:10 Apparently Ryan knew what he was talking about when he says Emma is not ready for the big move, because Emma turned to a rabid possum during this scene and they had to use a body double.
Never saw this movie before, just this one scene just now, and he'd need to know the weight of the woman first. But I do know why that big move would melt a woman.
The amount of precision and accuracy in the pickup scene is insurmountable in real life. It's a movie yes but to have the right pauses and specific zings at the ready is just pre-meditated at this point.
Like one of the comments here said, Emma is definitely Steve Carell's daughter in this movie. Emma Stone delivers her lines in a Steve Carell way. Why did I just notice that
In addition to these are the babysitter calling the (ex)wife batshit crazy for ending things under her breath and the wife never quite catching it. Plus the vitriol towards David Linghagen during the fight scene between all the men was so funny.
The movie is very uneven. Some parts I love, others I simply fast forward through. However, I have told my sons that if we ever get in a brawl, the kick-off phrase will be "David Lindhagen".
And somehow this movie completely ignored the fact that this guy is filthy rich. Like lives in a mansion and has half a million $ Mclaren SLR casually sitting in the garage
La verdad....Emma Stone y Ryan Gosling tienen mucha quimica entre ellos. Basta ver esta pelicula y tambien verlos en La La Land!!!! Las escenas entre ellos se ven siempre naturales!!!!! That scene at the end when everyone finds out is one of the best comedic moments I have ever seen. Period.
"I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU"
i love when the only person not starting stuff wants to leave and hes just tryna get out of there
It's like the ice cube scene in 22nd jump street

Extremely underrated
I prefer Ryan and Steve's chemistry
Your not the only one
You're not
That's why they got them back together to do La La Land 😉

Absolutely, Ryan and Steve were an iconic duo, we need them in more movies together!
Liza Lapira killed it too!
Kid: "I'm gonna go watch tv now."
Gosling: "Can I come?"
😂😂😂
NO!
ROFL!
Just realised that kid is Joey King from Kissing Booth. 😂😂
6:10 Ryan's face when she asked "how do you know my dad" is just absolutely priceless 😂
In that moment he knew he f***ed up
Ryan Gosling is the personification of chemistry, sexiness, charm and appeal!
Brilliant script. Perfect performances. Great movie.
A brilliant script is to return to the wife who cheated on you? :)
This and the office is probably what i would go for if i could pick 2 movies/series to forget and watch again.

I did that out loud at a movie theater when I saw Henry Cavill play Superman. Also experienced a false pregnancy for several months.

Keanu Reeves doesn't age at all. Everybody knows he is immortal.
Denzel also.
I agree. He didn’t get hot until like late 20s, early 30s. Like Ryan Reynolds.
Pierce Brosnan too

They should do a movie together where they are the leads. Maybe a little singing and damcing here and there. I bet it would win some awards.
One Christmas season, I watched it 24 7 for about 5 days.
The son was the best character, i loved his graduation speech

It is my opinion that one is never too old for cheesy pickup lines. If someone can't appreciate a cheesy line, why be with them?
