Just an fyi, you can get out of bounds without using mods. There’s this glitch where if you go to the very tip of the map near annesburg and get drunk: it will then teleport you to the top of the rocks and will grant you access to the out of bounds zone
I think if you count the walkable Out Of Bounds areas, RDR2 has the biggest and most detailed open world in any game to date. I really wish they would've utilized it more.
Most detailed?Yes.Biggest? Not even close. There are numerous open world games with maps larger than entirety of RDR2's boundaries, let alone the actual playable map which you can see at 3:59.I can name two games from 2018 alone,The Crew 2 and Just Cause 4.
@Tutel9528 crew's to is just car game, and just Cause 4 is a single-player game with the multiplayer and all that msp for 2 player is a waste and besides its mostly big islands the reason why just Cause looks big Cause of the ocean.
@@Tutel9528Just Cause 2 is far bigger than 3 and 4. It has forest, jungle, mountains and heck, even desert. And the most detailed water that looks so real that even gta 5 doesnt make it look real.
What about Tempest Rim? There's a bunch of hidden areas over there that were probably cut like the old Colter area, there's that hidden avalanche place, the prologue mountain goes even further if you use a preloader mod to show the original removed cutscene etc
3 notable locations I found out of bounds were a lake if you continue following the roanoke river north, a removed location named Iron Cloud and a huge pit in "canada" aka north of the snow
Theres a spot i found over a year ago with a friend. We dont talk much anymore hut thats still my favorite place to go for taking screenshots and experimenting with mod stuff. Ive only shared the location with my closest friends

I think the underwater trees should have stayed in the base game. I’ve been near places a lot like new Hanover and flat iron lake, and there are a shit ton of submerged trees.
If people weren't so obsessed playing gta online maybe we could have made rdr2 online even bigger, people blame Rockstar but you gice them the excuse the second these cry babies stopped playing rdr2 online
This is why I've always thought RDR2 was a bit overrated, all of this open and unused locations and they couldn't have put a small community within the area or something. Such a waste.
This is specifically out-of-bounds on purpose. So you can see the world go on and on, and not just suddenly end. Most of the other open-world games R* created were mostly islands, so they had (in)finite ocean. In RDR, you don't really have flying vehicles (except for the balloon in one of the missions) so they didn't have a reason not to expand the terrain outside. It's detailed, so if you use binoculars, it's not just a low-quality garbage. It's quite surprising it's going so detailed for so long tho. And before you ask - the mineshaft was ported straight from RDR 1 (just like most of the New Austin and the land south of the big river). That's why it's mostly there. Just a little bit more redone.
If you go far past Mexico in the blurry lands non collusion area you can hear mining ⛏️ sound effects and with Rick particles
Rick and morty particles

You can also do tht with the Mexican border. How the tables have turned

Would of been better to show a round about location of where you are on the map, even if you're slightly off to the North, East, South or West of it
Greenery looks so beautiful. It looks like it was meant to be another state in rdr2!
I’m loving the new content with these mods man🙏 Keep it up
