Thanks for the video and the detailed tutorial! It encouraged me to try this for myself and I was able to shoot the first astro panorama of the veil nebula in the past few days. CS

Thanks for the helpful video. One thing I'm trying to figure out is how to repeat the panels throughout the night. Otherwards Let's say the sequence shoots 10 of each panel, how can I have NINA repeat that sequence? Another 10 of each panel and so on....

This was incredibly helpful. I have an 80ED (600mm) which I think is a really great scope, but even with a reducer which brings it down to 510mm , the focal length is juuuust abit too zoomed in for many objects. I figured mosaics would be a way to sort of work around this, but apart from eyeballing where the various panels would be placed, I was looking for a more organized way. Only using a DSLR and no auto-rotator or auto-focuser, but this looks promising.

“Space,” it says, “. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mindbogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.” Douglas Adams did not live in vain! LOL

Very good ! If I want to add more exposures with different filters do I just add more 'Smart Exposures' to the 'Instructions' ?? Is there a way to do this without having to re-enter all the exposure information ?? The simple sequencer lets you duplicate each line and change the filter.
I just figured it out, click the menu icon (three dots to the right) and it will let you duplicate the line or move it up and down !
    thanks for your help,
    Monty

Hey! Good video! I was going through it and it seems your sequencer in NINA is very different than mine. I don't get the screen at 5:00 where you select "advanced sequencer" and i can't go into all the options you select afterwards. I have NINA version 1.10 HF4. Do you know if i need to get another version or if there's any way to activate the advanced sequencer? Thanks!

You need to be on the "Version 1.11 NIGHTLY" to get the advanced sequencer. It has been in nightly for a long time now so is quite stable but can always have bugs since it's updated very frequently.

I love NINA but this video reminds me how much I cannot stand the Advanced Sequencer. "Cannot stand" is not a strong enough expression. I hate/despise/deplore/detest the Advanced Sequencer (to some very high exponential scale). Yeah, it has a million options but there is a lot of stuff that can be forgotten, a lot of missteps that can occur, and, in my experience, when NINA is left unattended to follow it's own automation bad things happen. Hence, I only use the Legacy Sequencer, and I love the Legacy Sequencer. I hope NINA never drops the Legacy Sequencer because then I'll have to find an alternative to NINA.

the more of NINA I see, the more I dislike the UI. it is not an intuitive UI imho.

The UI could definitely do with some work, but functionally it's hard to beat. Especially since it's free. Hopefully they soon do a UI overhaul to improve how we interface with it.

@@AstroWithRoRo one thing I've learned over many years is that open source software UI sucks. Time and time again (and I've been using open source software on and off for just under 25 years). I wouldn't hold your breath.
