You have more snow there than we currently have here in southern Finland. That's unusual. 😊 I only lived on the coast when i lived in the UK and so it was rare to see much snow. Cool to see you playing in it. 🎉💚
@missnancysdayoff Yep. It's a bit more unpredictable nowadays, some winters like now, it is +3°C today, and just a few left over snow piles and ice. A normal winter would see -15°C and lots of snow at the end of January. Happy sledging 😘🛷☃️❄️
I love how the snow casts a hush over everything. Even in the city. Alas none of it fell here (East London) but there was a hard frost which made the walk to the duckpond prettier than normal. Another great video. I appreciate your narration. How you set the scene. An enchanting scene. That sequence beneath the snow laden branches is lovely. It's great fun to explore and frolic in the snow but it's also very nice to get back inside for some soup! Always good to see your art. Your temporary home was something else. Seems like so many life times ago I had my three Cats. Sox, Gizmo and Ollie. Kinda wish I could rewind life and go back to then sometimes and start over.. Life and society seemed so much simpler back then.. And you're just a big kid playing in the snow x ❄️
@missnancysdayoff I always liked the snow, but not driving in it, especially in a heavy rear wheel drive car. I crashed my old Mercedes once, trying to get up the hill to the house, whilst sliding back down, hit a small parked Peugeot smashed their rear quarter panel in, there wasn't even a scratch on my tank. I did leave a note though and paid for their repair..

Well, I reckon you're cleverer than you give yourself credit for. After all, you picked a great sledging slope which wasn't too steep that you could get a good slide but not have to kill yourself getting back up it to start. Especially as you'd not sledged for ages. Maybe I'm overthinking it🤔🤣 The snow down the back of the trousers is all part of the experience 😅 Love the drawings and jewellery making. Cat had the right idea .. sod that i'm staying in the warm. As you know i'm not a fan of the cold ... just seems like hard work tbh. Glad you had fun though, personally i'd rather look out of the window stood in the warm with a good bottle of single malt. 😁👍✌️🤘❤️❤️❤️

The last time I went sledging was about 14 years ago. We took a 3 man inflatable dinghy out into the fields. It felt like we were moving at 100 mph. I panicked and leapt from the dinghy while my friend coasted to a stop about 100 meters away from where I lay in a crumpled heap with snow up my nose and in my ears. 😂

Nice! I love how you package your jewellery by the way. My refusal to use unsustainable materials drove me insane when trying to make sure everything I sell would be completely biodegradable and vegan friendly, including the packaging, but it was so worth it in the end.
thank you! sounds cool though how do you package? I’ve done my hardest to make sure it’s recyclable and hopefully recycled but it’s not easy by any means
@@missnancysdayoff If it's small I'll wrap it with tissue paper, put it in the smallest box it will fit in, then tie it shut with jute twine or "raffia" which is string made from a certain type of palm leaf. Then I put it in a cardboard book mailer and send it out. If it's larger I'll usually put it in a box as close to it's dimensions as I can and use paper, straw or shredded cardboard to protect it. I seal those with a gummed paper tape which has biodegradable water activated glue made from plant starch that forms a much stronger bond with cardboard than standard tapes. My address labels are paper and I use a thermal printer because it will never require any ink cartridges. So everything is recycled to me and reusable / biodegradable to the customer, including the items themselves since it's all woodwork with natural plant based finishes only. 😃 I tried very hard to get this aspect of my business right and I'm quite proud of it. 😅

After all, you picked a great sledging slope which wasn't too steep that you could get a good slide but not have to kill yourself getting back up it to start. Especially as you'd not sledged for ages. Maybe I'm overthinking it🤔🤣

The last time I went sledging was about 14 years ago. We took a 3 man inflatable dinghy out into the fields. It felt like we were moving at 100 mph. I panicked and leapt from the dinghy while my friend coasted to a stop about 100 meters away from where I lay in a crumpled heap with snow up my nose and in my ears. 😂

Nice! I love how you package your jewellery by the way. My refusal to use unsustainable materials drove me insane when trying to make sure everything I sell would be completely biodegradable and vegan friendly, including the packaging, but it was so worth it in the end.
thank you! sounds cool though how do you package? I’ve done my hardest to make sure it’s recyclable and hopefully recycled but it’s not easy by any means
@@missnancysdayoff If it's small I'll wrap it with tissue paper, put it in the smallest box it will fit in, then tie it shut with jute twine or "raffia" which is string made from a certain type of palm leaf. Then I put it in a cardboard book mailer and send it out. If it's larger I'll usually put it in a box as close to it's dimensions as I can and use paper, straw or shredded cardboard to protect it. I seal those with a gummed paper tape which has biodegradable water activated glue made from plant starch that forms a much stronger bond with cardboard than standard tapes. My address labels are paper and I use a thermal printer because it will never require any ink cartridges. So everything is recycled to me and reusable / biodegradable to the customer, including the items themselves since it's all woodwork with natural plant based finishes only. 😃 I tried very hard to get this aspect of my business right and I'm quite proud of it. 😅
