I was looking for a car and one of your videos popped up with the Yeti so then started following you. The next day I viewed a Yeti and decided to buy it here in Cologne Germany. So far love it so we should we should have a Yeti love fest lol not really but love your work and learn from your techniques.

One of the better tours I've seen. Iiike your Yeti. Heck I like the Yeti as a car. Nearky ended up with a Kia Soul which is similar. Nice thought about treating other dogs. Never considered that one. Well Tori I must say the Skoda yeti is the Swiss Army knife of cars you are so organised 😊 And I also spotted you have a lime green tomato knife I have the same one in my set up razor sharp . We also use dog poo bags for rubbish as they are very small and handy 😂😂 Does elastic thingies are called bungee cords straps we also have three packets of them in our van They can come in handy Now on the other hand I don’t have a saw But I do have a small angle grinder which can be powered by the power station 😂 Thank you for sharing this very interesting and factual tour Best wishes from snowy and myself 💯

I've just watched this after wasting an hour searching the spare room for the Christmas decorations which I was sure I stacked neatly away last year but for some reason had disappeared under a pile of boxes and bags filled with stuff I don't even remember having. I dare not show my wife how you've managed to take everything you need to live and work and fit it neatly and easily locatable in a medium sized car, as I've spent years convincing her that there is no way I could possibly downsize any of the absolutely critical paraphernalia I have crammed in every nook and cranny of the house! A great video Tori - entertaining, informative and spare room shaming in equal measure !
😅 it is amazing how things disappear, and not in a good way! happens to me all the time. having trying to fit all my things and exist in smaller spaces first the van now the car it definitely has taught me that it’s kind of easier as it forces you to be tidy and get rid of things if you don’t use them! give me more space, I will immediately fill it 😅 it’s like opening a tube of that foam stuff that expands out. so I’d never room shame anyone !

Tardis - love it! Done similar, but only for using an estate car as a 'mobile/temporary' home for my dogs, with the necessary storage, at work or maybe agility shows. Your car is a whole new level! I've used Queuchua Base Seconds pop up tents before over the tailgate, like a mini awning, and extra room. They are no longer available new, only used on eBay, but great bits of kit. Two minutes to set up and take down, basically a free standing tent and drive-away awning. Aways good to have high value treats and a couple of leads, including a slip lead your car! Seeing an errant dog and being able to stop and help is a basic requirement of being a dog owner, in my opinion....
i can image it now all kitted out into the comfiest dog bedroom ever! that tent thing sounds cool, a bit of extra roof space outside wold be nice. oh especially if you can drive away from it! you’re right it’s good to be able to help, I’ve been trying to limit myself as i did have for a long time an awful lots of Miss Nancys things. and that was ok, but I am trying to let go a bit as well. Not of her, but I can’t bring her back no matter how hard i try. anyway yes, treats always good!
In Australia we call those elastic cords. With the hooks on each end occy (as in octopus) straps. They generally come in a bunch of four, and the eight ends look like octopus legs!
oh that’s brillliant, someone else in Australia said coy straps but i don’t realise it meant octopus! I can see that 😅 mine came in a jar so it was more like a tangle of snakes 🐍
Great post - as usual. My car has a lot less packed in for car camping. I’ve just done a good trip to Dartmoor for a few days of hiking (tent) before exploring Dartmouth and a swim at Sugary Cove and then moved up to Brecon Beacon and Storm Darragh - that was spent in the car before a few more days of hiking across the Welsh mountains in sub-zero temperatures and mini-blizzards, with nights cosied up with his Lordship in our winter tent. Rudi carries much of his own camping kit - but I think he would rather be back in the car each night. I do like your car set up for cooking. I would likely add an airfryer and a toaster, more kit to find space for.

@missnancysdayoff Hi Tori, yes it was amazing 😊 not the best weather but it's December and up north 🤣. Went up to Durness which was has just the most amazing white sand beaches and the Smoo caves is just lovely to see . And the Smoo cave Hotel has lovely food 🙂. Then went down the the Bone caves which is a lovely walk up the the caves and also has a few pools to get a dip in 😊. I was lucky it wasn't busy in December but in summer it will be busy I'm sure . But March should be ok still Drove past Glencoe which is lovely and has a few spots for dips and beautiful views but had to get home for work so couldn't stop for a camp out 🙁. If you do pop up to Bonnie Scotland have an amazing time and would be great to bump into you and explore a few spots with you and get a dip in the fresh mountain water holes 😊 . Take care and keep exploring 🐾🥰x

Us boys also find tinkling and aiming somewhat difficult as any longstanding partner will testify to. I do like the water carrier arrangement. That locking knife might be a little bit illegal but not entirely sure 😕. If I was car camping I’d have a tarp and leave the boot open. I couldn’t cope with the condensation. Or have a roof tent.
😅 you don’t want to have that kind of struggle if your weeing right next to the bed. thanks i love that water carrier it was hard finding one small and with all the holes on top so don’t need to worry about it leaking. sounds nice with the boot open maybe I’ll do that next time I’m on a campsite, plenty of fresh air
Bungee cords Also have a Skoda yeti Love your set up Will adopt some of your ideas On my passenger seat I have a hanging shower tray attached to the headrest support Cable tie if necessary Being short, I can move my driver seat reasonably far forward so behind it I stack Royal mail stackable letterboxes Can get them four or five high. I do secure them. Have a couple of tarps which I attached to the tailgate to create an awning or alternatively to the roof rails. If you venture to Scotland, you may need midge netting over the windows Mosquito, netting the holes are too large It may be an over kill but I have a template for the midge netting and tape the template to theback windows. Having plastic louvres on the windows allows me to open the windows for sleeping at night But not have the midges inside. Made a small table that hooks on the back and has one adjustable leg. The leg is from an old walking stick. I no longer have my own dog, but carry treats and biscuits so I can talk to every dog that I meet I do feel for you I have shared more tears over dogs than anything else Thank you for taking time to share. Definitely a help to yeti owners and those not fortunate enough to own one.

@ alas no cannot shower in the car. I have a collapsible basin and can boil up some water Always have a large supply of wet wipes of various sizes with me If I am feeling brave, go for a swim in a loch. Just had a thought You are tall, so it would not apply to you, but I have one of those emergency pointy hammer and cut safety belt things which also fits in the door latch and helps me to get up higher for the roof box. Last summer, I introduced my friend’s Sheltie to living in the car. Once she knew my sleeping bag was not her bed and she had her own bed always fine and she enjoyed it. I also have a rechargeable fan which clips onto the lid of a little dash compartment on top Helps to keep me cool without running the car but more importantly, it helped to keep one warm sheltie cool as well as you lay under the umbrella after a walk along the beach and cliffs Keep rolling and keep making memories Have a blessed Christmas

Edit. Really enjoyed the tour of your humble abode 3rd iteration today, bet you’re a dab hand at tetris! Skoda Yeti are a fairly rare beast here in Australia the few I’ve seen out and about were fitted with a roof tent, could be an option for when the weather warms up, does it warm up in the UK 😂 maybe also look at a roof pod for extra storage! Have you seen the Bluetti multi cooler 3 in 1 fridge freezer & ice maker? I'm one of those tormented painter types and have often thought that such a life is quite monastic. Oh and now I'm thinking of monasteries and how I'll have to re-read The Name of the Rose. Well as one tormented painter to another I think it’s a great book! A lot of wisdom in there’s from the monks that we can apply to our everyday lives, this is the second time I’ve read it the first time it really helped me but I’ve fallen off the waggon and need to get back on it! I have not ready The Name of the Rose I will look it up! 😊

If only I could adopt Polly the greyhound i had Keith my greyhound in my old but very big van with my beautiful blind staffy at 12yrs old but now I live in a Nissan el grand SUV so absolutely no space but I hopefully one day will have another greyhound if i unfortunately move into a house because I love full time vanlife. I miss miss Nancy ❤

sounds brilliant! hmm the only reason rally that things are as they are is because i wanted the car to be as stealth as possible because I wanted to park in urbanish places, and also just see how it was using as much as possible only what i already owned (managed to cobble the wooden box together out of left overs which was pleasing) A roof top box it probably a really good idea, realistically there are limits to what you can fit inside, it sounds like a plan! I’d like to be blue to take my paddle board for instance although not sure if that would fit in a roof box.
Good car, great shape (squarish) and good engines. If you fancy a change and need more space, then get a Land Rover Discovery 4, brilliant car! Van, camper, towing, crossing continents and mountains. In my 11th year of ownership. No major issues if they are properly maintained, serviced and oil change every 6k miles max if short journeys....Same for most cars. All the best SD.

Skodas have come along way since the 80’s 😂 Its a nice little set up you have there! You have the same beige fleece i have in my truck.You didn’t happen to buy it from BnM did you ?😊😂 I have a pee bottle too in my truck. For my personal vehicle i have a Ford Ranger wild track and i love it although its a shame the bed wasn’t two feet longer like the American ones. Those are called bungee cords by the way (very useful items) Just a thought but have you thought of a roof storage net to keep lught items like blankets a clothes.I would say a rooftop box but they are niosey things when driving 😊

I don't live in my car but i could probably remove the spare parts i have in the back atm and literally live in it without putting any of multitude of crap i'd need to make it extra comfy or removing seats.. i even think there may be a couple of tops i got for my sister for last xmas but could'nt find without stripping out a load of gear and was raining so i'm certain they are still there. I also have at least 2 different camping set ups in there a big camp cot and massive camping chair, my fridge is always in there .. plus tools and a trolley jack, oh and and the fishing bib & braces and jacket and always 10lts of water.. oh and ... and i think i have issues 🤣🤣🤣👍✌️🤘❤️❤️❤️ p.s. lovely lock knife 👍

No, I have basically been living out of it for a few months so I have all my stuff in it but I go between house sits, car camping and visiting family etc so I am not in the Skoda full time, I like mixing it up!

Car camping why the tent and camping bed dead weight ditch them. Head torch best item you can have, light is where you look, leaving your hands free. Do you suffer from condensation if so some wind deflectors could help, cranking windows open slightly keeping rain out. Get the darked plastic type for privacy. Not trying to be bossy just some ideas that might help, stay safe loving the videos

Crikes car camping in a Yeti . You have to be small person for this I am just under 6 ft and no way could i do it. One of those top box camper boxes might do it. Best of luck what courage lovely❤ video

A. Its a locking knife B. The blade looked to be more than 3 inches. Certainly illegal to have on your person walking around with it most places. It might be legal if you have a good reason for having it, like for work or camping, whittling wood or whatever. Not totally sure what exceptions there are, depends where you are and doing what with it I think. Best wishes Stu and Alf x

I've just watched this after wasting an hour searching the spare room for the Christmas decorations which I was sure I stacked neatly away last year but for some reason had disappeared under a pile of boxes and bags filled with stuff I don't even remember having. I dare not show my wife how you've managed to take everything you need to live and work and fit it neatly and easily locatable in a medium sized car, as I've spent years convincing her that there is no way I could possibly downsize any of the absolutely critical paraphernalia I have crammed in every nook and cranny of the house! A great video Tori - entertaining, informative and spare room shaming in equal measure !
😅 it is amazing how things disappear, and not in a good way! happens to me all the time. having trying to fit all my things and exist in smaller spaces first the van now the car it definitely has taught me that it’s kind of easier as it forces you to be tidy and get rid of things if you don’t use them! give me more space, I will immediately fill it 😅 it’s like opening a tube of that foam stuff that expands out. so I’d never room shame anyone !

I've used Queuchua Base Seconds pop up tents before over the tailgate, like a mini awning, and extra room. They are no longer available new, only used on eBay, but great bits of kit.
Two minutes to set up and take down, basically a free standing tent and drive-away awning.
Aways good to have high value treats and a couple of leads, including a slip lead your car!
Seeing an errant dog and being able to stop and help is a basic requirement of being a dog owner, in my opinion....
i can image it now all kitted out into the comfiest dog bedroom ever! that tent thing sounds cool, a bit of extra roof space outside wold be nice. oh especially if you can drive away from it! you’re right it’s good to be able to help, I’ve been trying to limit myself as i did have for a long time an awful lots of Miss Nancys things. and that was ok, but I am trying to let go a bit as well. Not of her, but I can’t bring her back no matter how hard i try. anyway yes, treats always good!
In Australia we call those elastic cords. With the hooks on each end occy (as in octopus) straps. They generally come in a bunch of four, and the eight ends look like octopus legs!
oh that’s brillliant, someone else in Australia said coy straps but i don’t realise it meant octopus! I can see that 😅 mine came in a jar so it was more like a tangle of snakes 🐍

Great post - as usual. My car has a lot less packed in for car camping. I’ve just done a good trip to Dartmoor for a few days of hiking (tent) before exploring Dartmouth and a swim at Sugary Cove and then moved up to Brecon Beacon and Storm Darragh - that was spent in the car before a few more days of hiking across the Welsh mountains in sub-zero temperatures and mini-blizzards, with nights cosied up with his Lordship in our winter tent. Rudi carries much of his own camping kit - but I think he would rather be back in the car each night.
I do like your car set up for cooking. I would likely add an airfryer and a toaster, more kit to find space for.

Went up to Durness which was has just the most amazing white sand beaches and the Smoo caves is just lovely to see . And the Smoo cave Hotel has lovely food 🙂. Then went down the the Bone caves which is a lovely walk up the the caves and also has a few pools to get a dip in 😊. I was lucky it wasn't busy in December but in summer it will be busy I'm sure . But March should be ok still
Drove past Glencoe which is lovely and has a few spots for dips and beautiful views but had to get home for work so couldn't stop for a camp out 🙁. If you do pop up to Bonnie Scotland have an amazing time and would be great to bump into you and explore a few spots with you and get a dip in the fresh mountain water holes 😊 . Us boys also find tinkling and aiming somewhat difficult as any longstanding partner will testify to. I do like the water carrier arrangement. That locking knife might be a little bit illegal but not entirely sure 😕. If I was car camping I’d have a tarp and leave the boot open. I couldn’t cope with the condensation. Or have a roof tent.
😅 you don’t want to have that kind of struggle if your weeing right next to the bed. thanks i love that water carrier it was hard finding one small and with all the holes on top so don’t need to worry about it leaking. sounds nice with the boot open maybe I’ll do that next time I’m on a campsite, plenty of fresh air

On my passenger seat I have a hanging shower tray attached to the headrest support Cable tie if necessary
Being short, I can move my driver seat reasonably far forward so behind it I stack Royal mail stackable letterboxes
Can get them four or five high. I do secure them.
Have a couple of tarps which I attached to the tailgate to create an awning or alternatively to the roof rails.
If you venture to Scotland, you may need midge netting over the windows
Mosquito, netting the holes are too large
It may be an over kill but I have a template for the midge netting and tape the template to theback windows.
Having plastic louvres on the windows allows me to open the windows for sleeping at night But not have the midges inside.
Made a small table that hooks on the back and has one adjustable leg. The leg is from an old walking stick.
I no longer have my own dog, but carry treats and biscuits so I can talk to every dog that I meet
I do feel for you I have shared more tears over dogs than anything else

You are tall, so it would not apply to you, but I have one of those emergency pointy hammer and cut safety belt things which also fits in the door latch and helps me to get up higher for the roof box.
Last summer, I introduced my friend’s Sheltie to living in the car. Once she knew my sleeping bag was not her bed and she had her own bed always fine and she enjoyed it.
I also have a rechargeable fan which clips onto the lid of a little dash compartment on top
Helps to keep me cool without running the car but more importantly, it helped to keep one warm sheltie cool as well as you lay under the umbrella after a walk along the beach and cliffs

Well as one tormented painter to another I think it’s a great book! A lot of wisdom in there’s from the monks that we can apply to our everyday lives, this is the second time I’ve read it the first time it really helped me but I’ve fallen off the waggon and need to get back on it! I have not ready The Name of the Rose I will look it up! 😊

If only I could adopt Polly the greyhound i had Keith my greyhound in my old but very big van with my beautiful blind staffy at 12yrs old but now I live in a Nissan el grand SUV so absolutely no space but I hopefully one day will have another greyhound if i unfortunately move into a house because I love full time vanlife. sounds brilliant! hmm the only reason rally that things are as they are is because i wanted the car to be as stealth as possible because I wanted to park in urbanish places, and also just see how it was using as much as possible only what i already owned (managed to cobble the wooden box together out of left overs which was pleasing) A roof top box it probably a really good idea, realistically there are limits to what you can fit inside, it sounds like a plan! I’d like to be blue to take my paddle board for instance although not sure if that would fit in a roof box.

I don't live in my car but i could probably remove the spare parts i have in the back atm and literally live in it without putting any of multitude of crap i'd need to make it extra comfy or removing seats.. i even think there may be a couple of tops i got for my sister for last xmas but could'nt find without stripping out a load of gear and was raining so i'm certain they are still there. I also have at least 2 different camping set ups in there a big camp cot and massive camping chair, my fridge is always in there .. plus tools and a trolley jack, oh and and the fishing bib & braces and jacket and always 10lts of water.. oh and ... and i think i have issues 🤣🤣🤣👍✌️🤘❤️❤️❤️ p.s. lovely lock knife 👍

Car camping why the tent and camping bed dead weight ditch them. Head torch best item you can have, light is where you look, leaving your hands free. Do you suffer from condensation if so some wind deflectors could help, cranking windows open slightly keeping rain out. Get the darked plastic type for privacy. Not trying to be bossy just some ideas that might help, stay safe loving the videos

Certainly illegal to have on your person walking around with it most places.
It might be legal if you have a good reason for having it, like for work or camping, whittling wood or whatever. Not totally sure what exceptions there are, depends where you are and doing what with it I think.
