Probably Jimmy's most underrated song, and for me one of his best. Definitely overlooked.

One of his better songs for sure. The way he uses his voice is I think the key to the songs he has done over the years with and without Cold Chisel. He has a unique and distinctive voice.
Why this song never became huge and epic around the world is beyond me ! It is one of the best songs ever !

Been listening to this song and the Two Fires CD for over 30 years. A classic.
This is certainly one of my favourite songs of all time. I am thrilled to have yesterday finally figured out the chords to it and now I can perform it myself!! It will be heard at every one of my gigs without fail!! It's going to take a bit more practice to get it sounding good because it's as tricky as I anticipated but geez it's fun :D

As a young child I wanted to play the drums, but my mum refused to buy me a drum kit.
At 42yrs of age i did lessons. My drum teacher was amazed at my rhythm, but I lacked motivation. If i ever have kids id say choose a instrument and id get them professional tuition. We all have musical chemistry.

Two Fires was my favourite Barnes album and this is my favourite track from that album.
Growing up in the 80's all Oz FM radio seemed to play was Jimmy Barnes & Cold Chisel & I think I OD'ed a bit but this song in 1990 brought me back around.
Now I miss those day's :)
So love this song, saw a few of his gigs in Wellington NZ. First saw him with Cold Chisel when they opened for Rod Stewart, loved him from the get go he had so much energy it was a blast and we were flying pretty high as well....good stuff

Hi video was filmed in New York City Actors filmed separate never saw them I am signed to Universal Records And the drummer is Jonathan Mover we filmed Lay Down Your Guns the next day in New Jersey
