I am a 54 year old female old school bmx racer, I have had many bmx bikes over the years, although I only raced for a few years in the early 80's I still love the idea of riding again, just for a bit of fun. I have just bought a 20" wheeled Intense BMX bike (which I believe to be a model from 2010 with a steel frame. My favourite bikes ( have owned and ridden were a Raleigh Aero Pro and a TNT BMX bikes) My first BMX was a cheap BMX similar to the cheaper Raleigh Burner, with the loop tail and v handlebars in Black with yellow/gold parts. It was special to me as I bought with my own money aged 13! Spent quite a bit of money upgrading it too, but always fancied a GT or Mongoose back then! The last BMX I owned and rode was my TNT (in 2001-2002) before selling it and got a mountain bike to commute to work.
As you are talking about a Burner I take it your from the UK??? And you are so right about a GT. The early GT pro in this video is absolutely beautiful.
Check out some of the new bikes.. Sunday, We The People, BSD to name a few. A good complete full chromoly bike can be had for $500-$1000. Relative bargain compared to MTBs. I'm riding a 2016 WeThe People 'Envy' with Odyssey and Eclat parts. I do street and flatland and I'm 48. Been riding bmx since '82. Ride on.
My hat is off to you! I haven’t ridden a 20” since after I turned 13!(I was born in 1960…we didn’t have BMX bikes, let alone tracks) Stay young as long as you can! 👍👍❤️
Hello, we're from NOVA BMX in Woodbridge VA. We should be starting our season mid March. Come on by. We will be hosting a National in June this summer. Love the video.
Just find a bike that is from 1993 or older and you can. One guy was riding a 1980's Murray and was having a blast. Love to have you come if your near Raleigh, NC
Argh … me too. I sold my frame and fork to the neighbor kid to fund a Robinson f/f, except… the bike shop was out of them and at 12 I couldn’t wait the six week delivery time and got a Free Agent instead. Still got it, still love it, but MAN, I wish I had my Formula One instead. Or the Robinson. 😊Stupid, impatient twelve year old me :(
3:46 … That Harry Leary Turbo Diamond Back was one of the best 👀 LOOKING 👀 old school BMX bikes! Too bad the geometry was 💩. I wish it had the geometry of a JMC Racing BMX bike. It would be flawless…
I think I need this fun in my life. I'm 45 and bored as hell. Thanks for sharing!
Well your definitely not to old. I'm 46 years old.👍

I am jealous. I wish I had a TNT bike. That is a classic and worth a bit of money at this point. Thanks for sharing!

@@alloutbikes we have a big bmx track here in Indiana but it requires a yearly membership. It's called Imagination Glen Park.
@@oldguyBMX Get ya the membership. You will love it and totally worth it. There are a lot of great people out your way.
Wow this was awesome! Great job! I’ve just got back in to racing locally,
I will have to see if they have an old school class at my track.
If they don't you can try to start one.👍
great video, my favorite one yet. glad there is a BMX track you can go to.
Thanks👍
That early GT Pro 👌 what a bike absolutely beautiful.

Really Rad video Jason, thanks for posting. I would've had my '85 phase 1 in the gate beside you had I not moved overseas.

From Baltimore thumbs up
Thank you!🖖
Gosh I remember racing when some of those bikes were the badest hottest new thing on the market.
Its weird looking at these bike in your mind as new when it was 30-40 years ago.
Jason for the win!
There you are! Hope your doing good.👍
what a neat video
Thank you!👍
Sadly I missed the Old School Race, but man did It look killer. Say, do you guys sell these old bikes like this?
Sometimes. The only bike I have left for sale is a Pro Lightning.
Did you wind up selling the Torker?
It's on layaway.👍
Ok. If it falls through or you get your hands on another one you like to sell please let me know. Thanks
Wish I had my old formula one.. had no Idea they’d be in demand like they are. 😢
It brings back memories. Who would have thought that an old bike could be so important to some people.

That bike was amazing. I never rode one so I'm clueless on the geometry. Thanks for sharing.👍

Love it.
