Lovely choices! I'd grab the Laphroaig PX cask for sure and a new Cairdeas release if it was available! They are difficult to find where I am. I don't know what the prices listed convert to in Canadian $$. If something is available and often impossible to find I will usually grab it in Duty Free! Prices are definitely rising everywhere. Great video! Cheers! 🙂
Sos el mejor! Felicitaciones por los videos. Seguí filmando los free shop de los aeropuertos del mundo. Vemos lindas botellas y viajamos con vos! Abrazo grande desde argentina hermano!!
@@q8tenchi welcome to my channel. I think this is your first comment. Thanks. You have expensive taste. I love Yamazaki. The 18 is the goal for me. Cheers
6:07 (Kurayoshi 8 years) I got that 174€ Japanese whisky directly from Japan as my family was traveling there.. have to say it was much cheaper over there roughly 58€.. I wouldn't be paying 174€ for that whisky I think it tastes good but it's not THAT great. Compared to my local Finnish market these prices aren't much better over there :D in some cases even much worse.. Lagavulin 16yo is here 101€ atm..
Gert, thanks for the Duty Free views around the world. How about some summaries or overview statements? 20 or 30 years ago Duty Free was a big cost reduction but today? Do any airports offer a decent price advantage? Best scotch selections? TIA!! Cheers!
I started a video on a comparison but realised it is not so easy. The editing is a nightmare. Don’t have the skills. For this video I only consider the higher end whisky. No Johnnie. Prices in general are stupid. Bowmore 18 cost €109 in Belgium. The 15 is €70. Way more than the duty free. I can get the Royal bracla for €220
Istanbul duty free in general is very expensive. They say it is because of the rent that they pay and running a 24 hour operation. And there are a lot of staff in every shop.
Always one of my best whisky videos - makes me feel I am travelling! Yes, prices are incredibly high - do you find prices have spiked up recently everywhere in new stocks?
@@chivse7064 if you are referring to Dalmore then the low abv for me is not good. Macallan for me it has to be the 18 sherry cask. But it is very expensive. Now the yamazaki is very expensive but it has a great flavour profile that I love. It all depends on what type of whisky that you like. Regards
@@WhiskyLoversSociety Thanks 🙏 and big thanks sir And how about Ballvannie and that it seems to be Toyota lexus Rangrover RollRoys …. It depends on distilleries and brands mane sir I 🤔 think you understand what I say please 🙏 thanks . Love ❤️
@@sentimentalcheung welcome to my channel. Thanks for watching. Unfortunately there is no such thing as a bargain in Istanbul. Maybe some cheaper whisky like Johnnie Walker or J&B you will find a sale. Just make sure you know what you want and what is the price at home. Hope you do find something you like . @@WhiskyLoversSociety 18 year old is very expensive....in the UK, 12 year old is 150 quids, but 18 is 600 quids
As previously mentioned, you are the best travelling duty-free Tuber.
Very kind words mate. Much appreciated.

Thanks. Prices are definitely going up.
@5:30 are they placing the $1,600 whisky near the edge of a high shelf in hopes someone knocks it off, so if "they break it, they buy it" haha
lol. All in the plan.
