What will make your list of NAS whisky? How much are you willing to pay for a NAS whisky? Just a correction. That 14 year old Glen scotia slipped in under the radar. My bad Please remember to like share and subscribe. ❤. Ho ho hoooooo
Great list Gert! I completely agree with you on the Octomores being overpriced and definitely the BizarreBQ and the AD Serry Cask are absolute fantastic NAS whiskies from this year. Cheers!
Really nice list with some unique choices! And what a pleasant voice to listen to, if I may say so. Altough its quite funny that almost half of these bottles have an official age statement...😅 The only coice I cant agree with, of the bottlings I tried, is the Kilchoman Port Cask. Instead I would recommend this years releases of Mac-Talla and Old Perth (e.g Flora and Manzanilla).
@@WhiskyLoversSociety I guess everyone has their own definition of NAS 😁 In my mind NAS stands for non-transparency by the big corporations and I really like the transparent approach by Kilchoman/Ardnamurchan/Bruichladdich (providing background/cask information through codes/websites). No small, unimpressive numbers on the bottles but everyone wanting to know more, has easy access to dates/casks and more. Not that age matters over everything in whisky and there are definitly great NAS Whiskys but the more information about the content, the better I feel about my purchase. Thats probably why I turned to independent bottlers. Oh and dont get me wrong, I completely get your definition, those mentioned bottles deserve their shoutout!
A very nice list. Not sure I will ever get around to trying out the Octomore. I will just not pay those expensive prices. My list would have the Ledaig Rioja Cask as my number 1. A truly delicious malt at a very reasonable price. I'd also include the Laphroaig Quarter cask. A great full blooded 48% abv whisky that I prefer to their standard 10. It is often on offer here in Scotland. I recently got a bottle delivered via Amazon for £25 (30 euro). Great value 👍
@@WhiskyLoversSociety I also love the Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair. Natural colour, NCF and 46.3%. Regularly available at prices well below £30. A lovely oily tasty whisky. Cheers 🎅
Great list my friend!! Glen Scotia Icons of Campbeltown and Adnamurchan Sherry Cask is now added to my "taste list", all thanks to you but I'm not sure I'll be able to find the AD 10:22 Anywats, thanks again for the lovely video.. Cheers!! 🥃
I use to buy a lot of Octomores when I was working full time. But sadly I can no longer afford them as I only work 10 hr a week. On a positive note, I still have 20 different Octomore releases. I tend to open one every 6 months.

Anything Ardnamurchan, Ardbeg Uigeadail, Laphroaig PX. Just from the top of my head 😊

@@jamescarter7661 if it is not on the bottle it’s NAS. Lol. Under 10 years is definitely NAS. Welcome to the channel. See it is your first comment.
I just realised the Glen scotia is 14 years old. Great pickup. Getting old.
