God often shapes people with personality characteristics, experiences, and training that prepare them for his purpose, and usually, the people have no idea what God has in store for them. Remembrance of the Word of God equips us to make the right choice, those choices have eternal consequences or benefits. Getting the big picture is a reminder, about how important this life is and eternity, is a result of our choices in it.

Psalms 63:1 Thought: Psalm 63 was written by David when his life was in total shambles. His family was a huge mess but yet, he chose to seek and praise God through this psalm. This shows his closeness to God and his Trust in Him. Through all our circumstances, God is a constant Who is always faithful, not only is that a fact, but that realization is like a victory and thats why David chose to praise God in the midst of his troubles. Prayer: Lord, you are worthy of praise. Increase our faith so that we seek and praise You through all situations. Amen.
God called us to be a light in the darkness (Matthew 5). An oil lamp needs a continuous supply of oil; if it is an electric lamp, it needs a continuous electric supply. Here, we can compare oil and electricity with God’s anointment of the Holy Spirit. God sent us the light of the world - Jesus Christ - to show His light to those who are in darkness. God sent us the Savior to seek and save those who are lost.

God’s love in Christ Jesus for us is high - it rises to the heights of our celebration and elation God’s love in Christ Jesus for us is deep - it reaches to the depths of discouragement or despair (Romans 8: 38 and 39)
