You did such a beautiful job decorating, I’m 65 now and when I saw your living room with the Christmas decorations, it just brought back some wonderful childhood memories and a sense of comfort and love that my mom tried so hard to put out there every year! The decorations, music, smells from her baking and of course the crystal bowl filled with mandarin oranges! ♥️ Fantastic job and thanks for the memories.
I'm 59 so many of her decorations remind me of what I grew up with.
Love your decorating video. I am starting on mine today! Another way I’ve seen to hide the lights behind your village is to hang a dark blue chiffon or organza material in front of the lights. That makes it look like you are looking at the village at night and the lights resemble the stars. I am thinking of trying that this year. Love your channel!

For your Grinch pieces, take a piece of wood and paint it white. Then put little velcro pieces on the figures and the wood. That way you can still store them in their original box if you want too.

For a special visual treat, I take my pictures off the wall. Then I decorate them with wrapping paper and ribbon - then you put the "presents" back up. Relatively easy to do and pulls the whole room together. Your living room is beautiful and the whole house is so cozy. Stunning job with the village too. I really appreciate how you love your family and the memories you share. Hey, just thought, how about a new Christmas rug in the entryway? It would complete the look for sure. Can't wait to see your next one. You have the glow and trim look of a newly pregnant mommy!

I'm originally from CT, when I was growing up we used to go on Thanksgiving afternoon to tag our tree. If I remember correctly we would go cut it down a couple weeks later, it had to sit in the garage for a couple of days so the snow could melt and the branches could fall and it smelled so good. When we decorated it we would drink cocoa and eat popcorn, Dad would roast chestnuts in the fireplace. One of my older sisters was an absolute freak about the tinsle and would drive us all crazy. Fond memories.

I’ve watched Amanda from This Crazy Life and Ashley from Til Vacuum Do Us Part decorating and, while natural and neutral is still very pretty, I personally tend to decorate more like you. I do like to blend winter and Christmas so that when the holidays are over and I’m putting Christmas stuff away, it doesn’t look so barren. Your Christmas village just made me smile 🥰
I decorate after Thanksgiving sometime, not necessarily the day after. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday❤😀

I love the way it turned out. I especially loved the Grinch figures, I wonder if you could glue metal nuts or something flat to the bottoms to add weight? My personnel taste runs to bright jewel tones and multicolored lights. I love the purple, teal, magenta, and lime green colors from the last few years.
If you got enough, you could make a whole video slideshow of the decor pictures with beautiful Christmas music playing!

With 50 years of collecting (plus some from my chikdhold) the last time I counted it was over 300 on the tree, including 6 doz glass icicles. I decorate close to tree trunk, then midway, outer limbs and last add icicles. No room for ribbons. We always cut down a short needled tree. I don't mind holes for larger ornaments to hang.
I love Bobby’s Grandma’s Santa Clause too.

Absolutely beautiful, I am South African and we don't necessarily decorate for Christmas, and honestly seeing your decco is so inspirational maybe il buy a tree this year ❤
I feel the same way you do. I live in Florida too. I think the tropical, sea coast, etc decos are pretty, but I prefer the cozy, traditional decorations are the best. At least for me and my family. I focus on a specific "feature of Christmas". For several years, the focus was Snowmen. ALL kinds. Inside and outside. A couple of years it was Elves and Presents. Last year and this year we are featuring all kinds of Christmas trees. And all sizes. So fun. We are retired here for 9 years now. And we will not have anyone coming down this year. But I still decorate.

How fun for the kids Cambriea! I would say I do a more rustic/neutral Christmas. A lot of browns, creams & that hunter green. I do add some red and gold but just little touches here and there. When I had littles I did the whole traditional route but we’re empty nesters & it’s more my style now. 🎄

I just got an idea! So for the little people and trees that won't stand on their own: put magnets or magnetic strip tape onto small pieces of thin wood - this can go under the white fleece stuff or could paint it white and blue fluff onto the sides surrounding the wood piece. Then hot glue a small magnet on the bottom of the feet of the object and then it will stand up on your magnetic platform! What do you think?

I have a white flock tree in the lounge with feathers and gold decorations, then red green and gold in dining room. I'm in UK but we haven had a white Christmas in a very long time. My Anniversary is early December so usually its done by 10th December.
This has given me inspo for my Christmas tree and my lounge room! I love the neutral vibe too. But probs won’t do a winter wonderland but will attempt to do a summer theme being in Australia ☀️

My daughter had the same problem when her daughter was little... always wore dresses, but no modesty... she'd be hanging upside down in the trees outside with the boys...lol she solved that by putting shorts on her under all her dresses so she was able to play and not worry about it anymore... house is starting to look awesome... you are getting me in the mood to decorate my place now....
