Watched the whole video without falling asleep. Found it refreshing, informative and soothing at the same time. Cant say that for anything else I've seen on youtube
A few nights ago I put on a different video about Swiss Army knives with the purpose of falling asleep and it worked like a charm! I couldn’t believe it when you started out this video that way. 😂 I just ordered my first Swiss Army knife from Amazon. I ordered the Sportsman and the Evolution 11. I’m going to keep the one I like best and return the other one. Great video, thanks!
That is so great. I love both of those knives. The Sportsman is a personal favorite because it is so sleek. Some people don't like it because the nail file turns in towards the blade. I have to agree that I don't prefer that either, but overall it is such a great knife. I do wish it had a scissors but it's still amazing. It's a good reason to keep your knife blade nice and sharp! I hope you really love it and have a great journey with Swiss army knives in your future. :)
I'm trying to watch this at the beginning of the day in the office. Even with a cup of coffee, your voice is lulling me into the realm of sweet SAK dreams. Yeah, gonna have to watch later this evening!
Reading the title I thought Swiss Army Knives would be put to sleep into a drawer after a day of hard work. It did not expect to be put to sleep by a Swiss Army Knife. Side effect of your video: Now I have my head full of beautiful Swiss Army Knives. So maybe it might have an opposite effekt! Not a sleeping pill but a stimulant? As it is a long video: Thank you for taking the time. Was it tiring for you? By the way: I find your voice very calming. The way you talk (about your knives) is so relaxing. Sweet dreams!

Hi Anne !!! Great video as usual. The lined cabinet you store your SAKs is a really beautiful piece of furniture. I'm sorry to say your video didn't put me to sleep. As you know my favorite SAK is my Huntsman, Ranger Grip 78 & Walker. Now that I'm wide awake LoL !!! I guess I'll clean & sharpen a few SAKs. Thank You, -- Wide Awake -- -- Joe --
LOL Joe, that's funny. I am so far behind on replying to comments! I also could not fall asleep with this video if someone else made it. But now it works like a charm! Like you, I also use the small blade for nearly everything, but I save my large blade to be sharp if I need it.
I love the flathead screwdriver of the Rover as much as the Philips of the Rambler.. Put both of them in alox scales together with scissors, blade and file. Can't believe the flathead is discontinued
I had to look that up! I forgot about the flathead combo tool for 58mm knives! I would love to get a look at one someday. I swear, if there were a place where I could go and look at multitools, I wouldn't have to buy them to see if I like them all the time!
Hey Anne (hope I spelled that right)…. I thoroughly enjoy your video’s but, listening to the intro on this video made me think about how I’m to think about how I watch this video. I’ve come to the conclusion that your voice is very soothing. I ended up taking out all 5 😆 of my Victorinox tools and going over them. Tomorrow I’m going to get myself my 6th!! Nice video/work once again!!!
Well, now that it's taken me 2 months to respond. I'm sure you have it already! I hope it is an amazing extra Swiss army knife or other tool for you. Thank you very much for watching and commenting!!
Thanks Ann! This video couldn't have come at a better time, when I found myself wide awake with my mind racing. I opened RUclips to find a relaxing video to listen to, and here it was at the top of my feed. Got a few more hours of good sleep to get me through a day of teaching 12 year olds. Later today I will be watching the whole video and enjoying your Swiss Army Knife collection.
Lol yes!! Oh my gosh, it's so boring. It took me 3 days to proof "read" it, because I kept falling asleep. I'm super glad it worked for you! Good luck with those 12 year olds!
I work nights and it’s about 2:16 Am Eastern time here . And I’m gonna sub to your channel and when my shift ends I will come back and watch this video .
LOL! I thought I was bad. Too much stuff in/on my night stand, so I bought one of those little wooden chests at HF - just fits on the night stand. Now there’s a drawer full of knives… aanndd… another drawer full of knives.🙄 Where does it end?😄
I got that jewelry box for a steal at an antique store, and used my SAK to tighten everything up before i got home. Perfect!! I really want some kind of display case, though, but one where the SAKs don't get dusty.
Nice video, great collection, love your voice and the way you talk about SAKs. It is very reassuring to find out other people who feel the same way about SAKs. Thank you
There's a high pitch, static sound in the background of this video, reminds me of childhood when I'd listen to an old radio, or when TV programs would end at night and I'd often fall asleep to that static, so nostalgic!
This is hilarious, I often put on Casio budget watch reviews to help me sleep … I thought I was the only one, just subscribed so looking forward to binge watching your videos … have 20 casios … but no pocket knives… maybe I’ll learn what the f91w of pocket knives is 😂thanks !
OH MY GOSH I cannot believe you said that! ROFL After I started getting too into multitools and SAKs to listen to videos about them to go to sleep, I switched to budget Casio watch videos! And then I bought a bunch of them, because apparently this is some kind of hypnosis I'm doing to myself. So now I'm switching to videos about having a "no buy year" hoping that will help the ol' bank account a little more. And there is NOTHING more sleep-inducing than a video where people list a bunch of stuff that they DON'T want to buy! I think the F91W of pocket knives is a Classic SD. Enough features to be really useful, but missing some things that people want (eg a light and a timer, vs a Phillips screwdriver and a nail-cleaner tip); retro style, comes in more colors and styles than other models, and bridges many different groups of people and socioeconomic classes. :) Wow that was fun to think about! My next video is a budget Casio watch I am in LOVE with. Hopefully the video won't put you to sleep, though!
Thanks for all the info, this is why you tube is amazing, brings communities together and people just help other people out! So spent my first bit of time learning about knives …. The manager looked amazing to me… but discontinued! And I don’t want the light … will hunt for one… and that’s half the fun . SD looks so beautiful also (I just love design in all its forms ) thanks again for advice and well done on the 3k subs … it’s an amazing amount of people saying….. tell me more ! 😂
Haha! This is a great idea! I'm gonna come back to watch this video when I need to go to bed early. I've always thought you had a friendly and calming voice. And great collection!!! 👍

Because that's why I made this video! I do that, too!! I have wanted to do this video since then but never was awake in the middle of the night and could stay up to make the video.
@thevineclimber davidg368..I can't get in my orginal account I mentioned I like watching tx tool cribs videos as a night routine..I remember you said you liked doing that as well in your response..

Thank you for watching, but don't be jealous. Most of those can't get any pocket time; the channel is enabling this non- productive behavior for me!
I am extremely happy with the Victorinox I EDC: the Swiss Champ. I don't find it difficult to carry or too bulky and every time I look into other SAKs, I come back to it.
LOL I think the Swiss champ did not make this video - but that one is my baby, too! I EDC it nearly all the time, because if I don't, I sometimes need something and it's missing! I sometimes wonder why I have any other SAKs!
Yes!!!! I'm glad you fell asleep. I am interested that you love collection videos. This collection is haphazard, but some collections are like a museum. Thought-out, balanced, and thought-provoking. Hm now you have me thinking...
I have the officier victorinox about all your knives in one its ingraved in Stein am Rhein with my name in it also in a leather Victorinox sheath I have it on my belt all the time while Iam driving through Europe in my camper the big blade on that knive is 6 cm. .....I like the sound of your voice its relaxing ...keep it up !
Nice collection. The best knife is the one in your pocket or the one on the table in front of you that you grab for. My collection is pretty big too now and I think I've reached the end of collecting for now, but it's all about the one that's with you and closest to you. Also the skipper vs skipper pro, they just had to make them different enough to make me want both. The pro has that big steel marlin point and larger prybar. It's simplicity is the best thing about it. The marlin spike isn't a bad defense weapon too. It's not breaking off, that's for sure. The regular skipper is a complete toolset practically, so it's also good on it's own. More complex, more reassurance, less power on the marlin spike.
Awesome collection! Regarding the Huntsman Lite shown at around 29 minutes in, are those the original scales you bought it with? I've never seen cellidor scales in that colour before.
They are not! I replaced them to make it more cozy lol because it's my nighttime Swiss army knife in the winter. You can get those scales from Messerspezi on ebay or Etsy! The only thing to remember is that you cannot use the hot water technique on those original scales. Or you will dump the non-waterproof flashlight under water!!
This is awesome!! I'm going to watch this tonight! After a stressful day at work, I come home and "Just wanna watch an SAK vid and zone out"!! Thanks for this!!
I cannot believe it's ASMR. I was just trying to talk quietly, so people wouldn't wake up once they fell asleep. What is ASMR about it? The clicking knives?
According to Google, ASMR is an acronym for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, defined as "a term used to describe a tingling, static-like or goosebumps sensation in response to specific triggering audio or visual stimuli" and YES, the clicking of SAK implements and your soothing relaxing voice !
They are really pretty. You can take the scales off of a Classic SD and put them on a Rambler, of course. It's stressful, but usually works. And a Rambler is sick a functional, do-it-all toolset!!
Wow you are surely prepared for anything, and i thought my 4 victorinox knives were alot.I have the compact, workchamp, farmer and now the Jetsetter.Btw what is the victorinox you actually use everyday or the most?
@@thevineclimber I often go to sleep watch/listening to some documentary show. My wife will shut the tv off and I wake up saying hey I was listening to that. 😁
OK, subscribed. A soothing voice to help with my insomnia talking about one of my favourite topics. I hope you don't mind but you kinda, sound like a female Bob Ross. I mean that in the best possible way. You have a lovely collection of SAKs.
So I had to go look at the official list that some people compiled. www.macgyveronline.com/macgyververse/equipmenttech/saks-used-in-each-episode/ I have a tinker, tinker small, Spartan, climber, executive, camper, huntsman, super tinker, compact, and I think a picnicker. So, yeah!!!!! Fun question! Thanks!
LOL as long as the blades and scissors are shut.. and the awl... and it's not by your face, you should be ok! It cracks me up that several people have commented on that, and I have caught myself doing that several times. Swiss champ makes a big bang when it hits the non-carpeted floor after it falls out of bed, though, so I can't recommend this strategy!
8: 14 I have seen video about Minichamp. Originally it was knife for pharmaceutics. (Pharmacy workers). The cutticle pusher was made to take a little bit drugs.
I fell asleep just a few minutes in, but I woke up again about 45 minutes in and couldn't get back to sleep. Despite watching the whole video from the start. I just found it far too interesting. 👍
I like how other multi functional items are called “The Swiss Army Knife of…”. PS: I just bought my SAK Rambler and used 4 functions the first day I owned it. A new addition to my keychain.
Yes!! Lol that's funny. :) I'm so glad you love your Rambler! The more you look for chances to solve your little daily problems, the more you will find reasons to have the Rambler! :)
hi how are things ? I have doubts and I would like to know your opinion; If you had to buy a knife today and you were in doubt between the Victorinox Evo 10 and the Tourist, which would you buy? I know that you like the Evo better, but I see that the Tourist is much smaller in size, what do you think?
ROFL No! I mean, yes, I guess it was but not on purpose; I had purchased a microphone that I thought would improve my sound quality, but it made it so much worse that you are like the fourth person to comment on the white noise. Oh my goodness, it's so embarrassing. I got rid of that microphone and got a better one now.
How can you go to sleep when you're looking at Victoria Knox folding knives I've got as many as you I love them all I think they are a thing of beauty a super great slip joint knife that does so much I've got lots of other folding knives but my go-to is always a Victorian ox used to carry it as a secondary knife and tool but I soon realised it was the only one tool and knife what I needed for every day work just what to another Victorian ox when I wanted a change it works for me
I do prefer nail cleaning tip instead of the screw driver. I ground the tip of my sd to a nail cleaner with a file in about 5 minutes! You can keep a sewing awl wrapped in line under the hook
I went to an antique store to get it. It has inspired a new video. But I haven't gone back to the antique store yet! OKI have been back to the antique store, but I haven't been actually planning to shop for things that the antique store, so I couldn't make the video.
Anne’s SAK Medicinal Recording… 😄… you do have a soothing voice, with that white noise machine, all that’s left for you to launch a Swiss Army Knife ASMR channel is to buy heaps more SAKs… winning! 🤣

Not a video to watch? Well guess what I’m doing. Yep, there is at least one person ignoring your first declaration. lol 😂 Amazing video, as always 💜
L old you're doing it wrong! Thanks Ducypoo!
I'm back for the second time to finish the video because I fell asleep!!🎉 😊 thank you, I love collection videos
Yes!!!! I'm glad you fell asleep. I am interested that you love collection videos. This collection is haphazard, but some collections are like a museum. Thought-out, balanced, and thought-provoking. Hm now you have me thinking...
Nice collection.
I don't know about being asleep my hair used to be mousy brown now it's gone Grey only kidding I enjoyed watching it was good
Nice collection.
Effective.
Great!!!
I enjoyed this! Hopefully you were able to have a good night sleep afterwards as well.
Thank you! Also thank you for leaving a comment! In sorry it has taken me two months to respond. :(
This is awesome!! I'm going to watch this tonight! After a stressful day at work, I come home and "Just wanna watch an SAK vid and zone out"!! Thanks for this!!
nice video and awesome knives you got there! 👍how many saks do you have if i may ask? thanks for sharing this video.. have a great one….😉😉
You made a GREAT unintentional? ASMR video? Good video, Thanks !
This is so good!
No sleeping here , great video 🏴🤗🤗😁👍
Thank you!! I'll try to be more boring next time!!
@@thevineclimber 🤣😂🤣, oh I suppose it's just cause I'm a bit of a "Swiss Army" nut 🥜 too .
Have a great day 🏴🤗🤗😁👍👍
2nd chance george live stream commenter mentioned you. Nice!
No WAY!!!! Ah hahaha! I sometimes get to Minnesota. He has a lot of Spam clothes, so I'm guessing he's near the factory up there!
I wish they had more pretty scales for other models like the Rambler. My daughter would love the Edelweiss scales.
"This is an interesting one, it says "Corn Products" there"
i really cracked up
4 or 5 am clicked on your vid. Went to sleep listening. I’ll have to rewatch. :)
Only when you can't sleep! Loo
Gosh I love these videos. 😊 Is there a model you don’t have that you really want?
Imho, you have a great asmr voice. I could listen to hours of this.
Lol I was trying to be quiet. I don't really know anything about ASMR! But thank you!
Heck yeah! My wife doesn't understand my Swiss army knife addiction, yet she supports it. 🤟😎👍
makes me want to get a nice case for knives
28 bucks at the antique store!! It was pretty dusty and it needed a little bit of repair but nothing that the Swiss champ couldn't handle!!
I subscribe to your channel. I love SAKs too. Saludos desde Colombia.
Love this. I actually have a playlist for videos like this that are interesting subjects and can sooth me to sleep.
I actually thank you mentioned that before and that was part of my inspiration for this!! Thanks!
Curious. . . That swiss army collection, any models the same to which macguyver carried ???
So I had to go look at the official list that some people compiled. www.macgyveronline.com/macgyververse/equipmenttech/saks-used-in-each-episode/
I have a tinker, tinker small, Spartan, climber, executive, camper, huntsman, super tinker, compact, and I think a picnicker. So, yeah!!!!! Fun question! Thanks!
So, I'm not alone falling asleep holding a SAK sometimes haha
LOL as long as the blades and scissors are shut.. and the awl... and it's not by your face, you should be ok! It cracks me up that several people have commented on that, and I have caught myself doing that several times. Swiss champ makes a big bang when it hits the non-carpeted floor after it falls out of bed, though, so I can't recommend this strategy!
8: 14 I have seen video about Minichamp. Originally it was knife for pharmaceutics. (Pharmacy workers). The cutticle pusher was made to take a little bit drugs.
Thank you! That is good information. They renamed it and the cut-and-picker, I guess.
Perfect video👍🏽
Well I don’t know what my problem is, but I stayed awake through this whole video.😆And now I want to buy a new SAK.😆Cheers, Anne!
Lol oh my gosh that's funny. Thank you for watching!!
“I love this, but I’ve never carried it. Isn’t that silly?”
I think that’s most knife collectors 😂
Wow what a collection
Very nice knifes >>>>>>> Thank you
Very nice comment!!! Thanks for watching!
I fell asleep just a few minutes in, but I woke up again about 45 minutes in and couldn't get back to sleep. Despite watching the whole video from the start. I just found it far too interesting. 👍
Darn it! I should just review a while bunch of Spartans!
Great idea for a video. Was that white noise in the background?
@@thevineclimber Never mind. A great idea for a video though. I might try one likes this myself sometime.
I just saw they make one with Hot Dog scales 🌭
Oh that's cute!! So funny.
Piękna kolekcja
Pozdrawiam z Polski
How can you go to sleep when you're looking at Victoria Knox folding knives I've got as many as you I love them all I think they are a thing of beauty a super great slip joint knife that does so much I've got lots of other folding knives but my go-to is always a Victorian ox used to carry it as a secondary knife and tool but I soon realised it was the only one tool and knife what I needed for every day work just what to another Victorian ox when I wanted a change it works for me
Thanks for putting me to sleep felt like I was in kindergarten falling asleep when the teacher read a nap time story
LOL You're welcome! A nap time story about knives. Cool kindergarten!!
I do prefer nail cleaning tip instead of the screw driver. I ground the tip of my sd to a nail cleaner with a file in about 5 minutes!
You can keep a sewing awl wrapped in line under the hook
I love this thank you so much
Thats a nice old drawlers
I went to an antique store to get it. It has inspired a new video. But I haven't gone back to the antique store yet! OKI have been back to the antique store, but I haven't been actually planning to shop for things that the antique store, so I couldn't make the video.
Anne’s SAK Medicinal Recording…
😄… you do have a soothing voice, with that white noise machine, all that’s left for you to launch a Swiss Army Knife ASMR channel is to buy heaps more SAKs… winning! 🤣
Your right. Good night! 😂😂😂
Sleep well!
