My favorite tip for avoiding bubbles and lumps in dip: use a hard bristled nail brush to brush off excess powder in between layers once it's had a chance to dry. This also helps save the gel brushes from getting gunked up. The soft powder brushes never remove enough of the excess. Just make sure you wait a few minutes before brushing so the gel has a chance to absorb - usually the time it takes to do the other hand is enough.
you inspired me to start doing my nails but the thing is that I rip the fake nails off bc of my stupid skin picking. Also it takes forever lmao. But u did an amazing job !

Try growing out your natural nail and useing cuticle oil. And keep up with just regular cuticle care and you won’t get lifted skin as much
@@little_aslan_baby1082 I’m actually trying to use cuticle oil every night. Also I pick when I’m nervous or bored. Doing my nails used to help me not picking but my desire won I guess
I’m also a skin/nail picker. One thing that works surprisingly well for me: I use clear dip to protect my nails, then peel base, then any polish/color. I still get the satisfaction of peeling/picking when it happens, but my nails are protected underneath.
Also, using nail oil (specifically jojoba) has been a life changer. Any time I get the urge to pick I apply oil instead. It has made my nails and skin much smoother and stronger and so less likely to give me something to pick at.

I’m a nail tech and the dip powder tray thing is used for French tips on the first level so you can dip at an angle! The trays underneath are for when you are sprinkling dip instead of dipping. Mainly when doing on a client so you’re not contaminating the rest. You keep alternating between using each tray so you’re not wasting powder and can use it all up! I hope that made sense lol
Just a tip don’t remove the sticky layer from your base coat, it’s there to help the gel polish adhere better because gel doesn’t stick as well on a smooth surface. I just got my nail tech license 4 months ago and I’m not half as good as you are at doing designs and nail art….beautiful set!
hello, to combat your problem you should try putting a peal base coat on top of your dip before adding gels! this way you're able to change out the design anytime without lifting the dip, you can do it up to 4-5 times before having to do a new dip set. hope this helps
10:18 The little drawers on that pink thingy are so you can sprinkle glitter or pixie crystals and not lose any. Just pour back into container 😁 VERY handy.

They also work well if you use pour-over method with dip powder to reduce waste. I tend to prefer pour-over as it keeps my nails from getting as bulky since I wear them shorter.

to save time with the almond shape use curved nail clippers on the sides and you won’t have to file as much!! ❤️
when I do my nails as almond or coffin, I cut the corner of the nail so it takes less time to file

if you want to take care of those brushes, I suggest only cleaning the gel in them with clear gel. just get a glob of base gel and swipe your brushed back and forth until it’s clear of polish. then wipe dry with a lint free wipe! no acetone, no alcohol. that’s the best way to maintain your brushes. make sure to put the caps on them if you use that method so it doesn’t cure!

I used to use the pink thing that you use for dip. If I remember correctly the top one is to dump the powder on your nail and the bottom is just the extra fall out you put back in the jar.
Also I love your nails. I usually only do square shape but have been looking into almond and I just actually bought a bunch of nude polishes

btw the bottom of the pink thing is for glitter, you set your finger on top and pour glitter then the tray collects it and you can put it back in the glitter container

Heyy, first of all gorgeous nails 💜💜, then about the pink thing in 10:15, you use the hole for pouring glitter, like you hold your finger there and you pour the glitter or sth else , then you take out that scoop thingy underneath and pour it back in the glitter container, idk if I was clear 🤣

I don’t know if you’d like this but applying vitamin e pile and olive oil combine on your nails works! If you do it very often like morning afternoon and before bed. I normally do it when I wake up and then after each shower. And after washing the dishes and forgetting to use gloves 🥲💔 also before bed too and if I’ve been out in the freezing cold all day 😌 it helps my nails grow strong and I just file them how every I please. But that’s to grow out my nails 🥲

Acetone is the best thing you could use to clean the brushes. I breaks down the polish very well!
Acetone is the worst thing you can use to clean your gel brushes. It drys out the bristles and can melt them. You only want to clean your gel brushes with gel. You can take a glob of base coat and run your brushes through it until all the color is removed then wipe it with a lint free wipe but leaving a bit of the gel in the brush. Just make sure to put the cap back on the brush.

I recommend when doing almond shape using flatter nail tips and not so c curved because it can sometimes make the almonds look like it's going upwards and not straight from your nail. But other than that love your nails ❤️
just a quick tip : next time if you wanna do an almond shaped nails. just cut the excess nails from scissors to save ur energy n time
