These days words like 'legend' or 'genius' are thrown around, but.... Stan 'The Man' Lee was a TRUE legend & genius. Today it would be impossible for anyone else to have as much impact on comicbooks, merch and superhero films. A modern day Walt Disney and Shakespeare rolled into one whose characters will live forever. Rest in Peace.

It's so wonderful that he got to see his creations come to life and achieve their fullest potential - household names beloved by millions, so many of whom have never even dreamt of reading a comic book! That's so awesome for him. His passing would have been really tragic if he never saw how huge his creations became, but he was there for this entire MCU run. After Captain Marvel and Avengers 3: part II - and I'm sure he cameos in both - that whole story run is over and Marvel Studios will look to start something brand new. Lovely timing, really. It obviously had to happen someday, but he made it. Lasted right till the end. A true Legend.

Stan Lee. Quite possibly the most impactful, underrated, genuine genius of the 20th Century. How lucky we are that we have these people come along, once in a generation.

When he worked for a company, "I had been writing the books the comic book's the way my publisher would wan't me to." And now that he was working with his own company; "I'd say to the artist, now you go on and draw ANYTHING YOU WANT and if you can improve it; Think of new things go ahead!" You can literally see how dedicated he can be by his work and how he cares not just by the story but the readers and artist also.
He will never truly die as long as people are loyal to him

For some reason he sounds like he could be Harley Quinn’s grandfather.
But rip legend.
For me if Marvel had the equivalent of a holy trinity it would have to be Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Steve Ditko,
Without these three men Marvel would most certainly have had a very different history and very likely wouldn’t have existed as a company from the 1930’s to the 21st Century and the superhero genre and the entire comic book industry would be nothing like we know it.
I refuse to play this game of who was the most important figure, for me it’s like asking which of the Beatles was the most important and contributed the most to the band. To me Stan & Jack and Steve contributed equally in their own ways and they’ll all be missed as well.
