Seriously, there is no reason to buy a "premium" model from anyone, these kits are perfect and much better solution than paying $200+. I have friends/clan mates from US, Africa, Europe and UK, I think we all are using these now.

Just installed mine. I got a bdm 20 so my bdm 10 kit from my first controller didn't work. Saw these were out when I went to buy a bdm 20 kit and I'm pumped. More buttons is never a bad thing.

Fun little weekend project. This mod attachment works incredibly well Elden Ring. Mapped my run button to a K button. Now I don't have to awkwardly hold the controller to run and multi task

Downside though is that the middle buttons are very unergonomic. So i use them for the not that common buttons. Would love a version where middle fingers and ringfingers touch the buttons all the time.
Great kit. Cool experience installing it too. I'll say I wish the buttons had more resistance to prevent accidental presses but the fact that I even have this on my controller is sick

@@gnarface3831 Someone recommended Kontroller Freek precision rings. Just have to cut them into a little square. I haven't done it myself but I'm going to try that

Great mod! Just did it and really like the quality. Wish it had presets for different games, but only takes a few seconds to map. Great stuff!

Just installed the grippy black rubber grip version along with the clicky face buttons kit. Just finished installing them. The controller feels great! Feels like a true premium product! Much better than Scuf, and with dealing with both companies, I'd say much better customer service, too! So far, my only real concern is that K1 and K2 might be too fragile, as I did break one of the paddles on the original RISE kit (ExtremeRate sent me a replacement free of charge, did I mention great customer support?). I really love the fact that the paddles are very easy to press, too. Took a while getting used to not accidentally hitting them, but I definitely prefer that over harder to press. The rubber grip is just glorious. I only wish there was a clicky kit for R1 and L1 while still keeping R2 and L2 analog, for those of us who love racing games.
I don't want to jinx my setup as I have a highly used 2 button kit and a newly installed 2 button kit. The paddles feel perfect, just make sure you're not gorilla gripping them or dropping your controller at a weird angle that those paddles get hit.
@@InTheZoneAC Yeah, I'm sure my tight grip was part of the reason the paddle broke, the one they sent me seems to be more reinforced though, which is good. Either way, my grip is much lighter now, so that should help as well. I would definitely recommend this.
Does i feel good to click the 4 paddels like isnt it hard to press them because of the lay-out?
@@frosty5626 They're not hard to press once you're used to it. Feels pretty intuitive now, at least for me.
The inner buttons need getting used to more than the outer paddles.

Received my upgrade kit with paddles and board only. Easy to install, I can confirm the Real metal paddles can be used with the Rise 4. Will take a little getting used to the extra two buttons and not accidentally taping them.
I just got the kit today and I've heard the paddles are flimsy, how can you get metal ones for this?
@GnarFace the rise 4 plastic paddles were redesigned and not as bad as the originals. You need to buy the Real Metal Paddle Kit for the Rise 2 if you want to use those. That's the kit with the red board.

@Ulysses they feel ok, not as clicky and have a softer press feel to them, if that makes sense. I have two packs and switched one back to the 2 button RMB only.

Ordered mine yesterday morning from Amazon and had it later that day, simple install, great feel on the buttons and the textured built in grips are awesome. I highly recommend RISE4 as of now, just have to see the longevity of them.

@@johnj8481 Not sure what you mean. I installed the back buttons exactly as the video showed. I have also installed the textile D-pad/buttons and triggers as well. Everything has been working flawlessly.

@@BaconNationChannel still using the same controller from 4 months ago, this is double the amount of time my scuf broke in, no issues with the mod pieces as well as not having to replace paddles on my scuf because they break every two weeks :D

I suggest you ask for the repair service from battle beaver, they have good customer service. And install RISE4 on your dualsense, then you have 2 eSport controllers 😆

And I play competitive FPS games with L1 and R1 but causal games with L2 and R2 because i really enjoy the adaptive trigger of dual sense. Do you guys have any plan on making just clicky bumpers (L1and R1) rather than bumpers and triggers together? I wanna keep the trigger the way it is but have clicky and more responsive bumpers.

Just installed hair triggers and 4 back buttons on my ps5 controller. Took bout 2 hrs total. Had 1 operator issue would have been far less.

Installed it yesterday into my Midnight Black controller. Everything is working fine. I needed the L3 and R3 Button remapped and soldering was no problem. Maybe you can release a Button Upgrade Kit with Metal Buttons? That would be very nice. Thank you for this great product, my second controller will be the next one. Greetings from Germany.

Everything worked for me just be mindful and confident in your soldering if you don't feel comfortable just take it to your local electronics repairmen but nevertheless if you have the tools and the confidence with soldering was an easy installation/modification.

@@barton2964 Flawless product. There is not need to buy a SCUF or "Pro Controller" for 200 plus dlls when this product exists. Remappable and sturdy buttons, great grip feel, no soldering, what else can you ask for?

If you ordered or received your ps5 recently, you most likely have a BDM 030. These will not work. Learned the hard way.
Easy to install and feels great! Now playing on my PS5 doesn't feel like slumming it as the controller can now stand alongside my Elite for the Xbox :D

Made sure I was using the correct version and did everything is the video. When remapping I got all the lights and flashes as shown in the video but when I try to use the back button nothing happens. Going to return this and get another one. Hopefully it works. I have some hope.

Completed every step, and I can remap the buttons perfectly. But after leaving setting mode, the buttons do not respond to my changes. For instance, K2 is mapped to the 'X' button but does not respond. This happened after a month of comfortable use.
This feels a lot more well developed than the Hope remap kit for xbox

I just installed the Rise 4 Remap Kit, the Clicky Hair Trigger Kit, and the Extremerate Carbon Fiber Decorative Trim Shell for the icing on the cake. The install went very smoothly, and easily. Everything worked perfectly. The only design flaw I experienced with the Rise 4 Remap Kit “imo” is that it takes way too much finger travel time movements when pressing the K3, or K4, and then move your finger from there to press the K1, or K2 buttons. The K1 & K2 buttons should be molded thicker to raise the contact surface to be more flush in line with the K3 & K4 buttons. That would greatly improve response time in between button presses, and reduce finger travel time for much improved gameplay. But overall I’m impressed with the product, and it’s way cheaper than buying an overpriced Scuf controller. Thanks again Extremerate.

Now we need ones similar to ps4 dawn 2.0 but with grip or texture options and also so that we can still use the official Sony charge dock too, now that would be a win win for sure.
Best video to do it only did soldering for l3 and r3 and was great i was gone the touchpad but i lost them lil cables idk where they went but i really dont need to remap the touchpad everything else was easy just was worry cuz i already had install led lights on my ps5 remote but i puteme both together and im surprised of the remote i got now didnt had to spent 300$ dollars on a scuff remote

I just installed mine as per the video but now my controller doesn’t turn on and I can’t figure out why. I double checked all the connections and everything is connected.
EDIT: I’m an idiot I set my controller up with BDM010 instead of 020. Now it works.

This kit is awesome, only downside is the middle buttons, I keep hitting k4 & k4 accidentally very often, during gunfights either stop shooting to reload or switch weapons, wich is how I have it set up, can anyone please tell me how to remove the function to have them neutralized?
It's ok but I may put the original shell because the rumble and dualsense now feels weaker as though the vibration is breaking a controller
I’ve already ordered mine just wish it was metal like the 2.0 V2 guess I’ll just use my metal ones with the plastic
We are still looking into the metal version for the RISE4, because the structure is more complicate than the V2, so it will take time
Just finished up. The PS button doesn't work, not sure how to trouble shoot the issue as the install seemed straight forward thanks to the awesome video. Any suggestions as to why the PS button would loose functionality?

You only need a soldering iron if you want to have R3 or L3 as the back buttons, 99% of people only want X or O so no soldering
My ribbon for the L1/L2 was printed backwards they're both facing the same way

I’m usually great at these things, but my controller won’t turn on after this… it was brand new straight out of box… I never even plugged it into to PS5, did this mod straight away… now the controller only lights up when plugged in, but doesn’t actually turn on… soon as I unplug, it shuts off.
This is my second controller now and I just have to say what an impressively well put together guide.
Question for you? When you did this (without soldering), did you lose functionality in the touch pad?

Please someone help me after I completed the installation everything was working for but the R2 and L2 buttons aren’t working. The 4 back buttons are working perfectly just the r2 and L2 are not.

Both my thumbsticks have real bad stick drift after installing this. Back buttons work well but controller is unusable with the random drift, even if I turn up thumbstick dead zone really high. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips or fixes?
Accidentally cut my FPC1 tape cable and my L2,L1 table cable wrong now it’s not working hoping they get back to me asap so I can get it up and running
Why do I have to mess with the big button and iron the shit when I’m just adding bittons
Took me like an hour to do this, made mistake at one point and had to undo a bit of progress to add the L1/2/3 and R1/2/3 cable, cause I misunderstood and thought it was only if you were making the sticks programmable. Didn't take long to correct this mistake and it works perfectly. I might open it back up this weekend after getting some soldering practice to have the sticks be programmable.

I only want to program the buttons X and O. It looks like I only need to do the touchpad soldering and new ribbon. I’m wondering if I need to connect the stock cables back for the sticks and L1 R1. It looks like the touch pad ribbon goes straight the control module. Thanks if you can answer.
If you want to only program the X and O buttons you don't need to do any soldering at all. Soldering is only for L3/R3 and the touchpad which I myself skipped out on. Use the stock cables for the sticks and the included cables for the L1/R1 buttons. @@madsteam77
So essentially skip from 3:40-10:15 if you don't care to remap the analog sticks and touchpad? The red thread is only relevant for those steps?
Controller not turning on after installing, replaced with factory ribbon cables and it works
Double check you've cut the right bit on the ribbon cable and fitted it the right way

Any idea on when the 030 kit will release, I’ve run your remap on most all my PS4 controllers, but my new PS5 came with the 030 controller.
I just installed the back button kit and now my right trigger is constantly making this weird click and un-click noise and on top of that the whole right paddle system isn’t working. The right paddles click and work when choosing what to be mapped as but as soon as I get in game they don’t give any response. The left paddles were mapped just fine.

I've done this mod a few times, no problem, but it appears sony has updated the PCB on the touchpad and I do not know where to solder the wire as a result. Is there any info on where to solder in these updated touch PCBs?
THIS GREAT video for installation. IT'S MEDIOCRE INSTALLATION FOR SOLDERING BUT THE its easy to do without soldering. Patience and right tools.
Damn I should give this a shot. I've been playing fps games with M&KB but I miss using controller. My ps4 controller is beat up and I have 2 ps5 controllers low key collecting dust
I never saw when I bought this that I would need to solder things. Gonna have to return this because I don’t have the materials to do all that.

Are you guys planning on bringing back the back button design rather than the paddles? Ive had both the ps4 versions and ps5 four button attachments and I find the triggers to be less effective at actuating as well as I find myself pressing the inside buttons rather than the outside paddles for the ps5 version which leaves for an unpleasent experience.
I just bought one of these I’m following all the steps but when I have to put on the shell it’s putting on the shell for the paddles
At 16:01 you mention skipping the plug in process for the flex cable if u didn’t solder. Is that for all 3 of the plugs or just the 1 plug that was plugged in? Thanks for clarifying !
What does it mean if the red light flashes but doesn’t stay
Hello, I installed the pedals per the instructions but button assignments are not working. Any idea why?
Light turns on then I press B+k1 and light flashes 3 times (sometimes quick flash sometimes slower ??). I quit settings mode. But K1 button does not work.
Edit: Amazon sent me another one. And I replaced the whole thing and it works great now.

Reason: I cant use the original PS5 charging stand and it's now sitting collecting dust since I prefer using Rise controllers now

Just installed this on a clear blue controller with all the clicky buttons too. There needs to be some kind of trigger stop for the r2 l2 buttons and for the remap kit. The remap map kit just needs to be built with a little higher quality parts it feels a little cheap but during my test run with it everything seems to work great.
