So cool that you limit your coverage to the set, your criticisms and praise, and cool tiny details like the brown topside benches. This video is about the perfect length, imho.😊
This is a nicely detailed model mate. I was very disappointed with The DeLorean for looking way too plastic when the real one is unpainted stainless steel but this looks remarkable.
This review is really the closest I'll be able to get to enjoying this set. Priced at a point many people, myself included will never be able to afford or justify. Such a cool set and I am very glad it exists though, would love walking in to someone's house and seeing a completed one.
My parents were recently on vacation in Florida and showed me a photo of it displayed at the Disney Springs Lego Store. It's the cloestest I'll come to the set 🤣

I feel like the room requirement is almost a bigger hurdle than the price.
A lot of Lego stores have them on display right now in front windows if you can locate one, I wouldn't say making the stop just to see it is worth. But if you are on the way taking a second to appreciate the scale is certainly cool
@Tilden Cats The $200-250 COBI version may be more of what you need: ruclips.net/video/vvGqT7J-WY4/видео.html Definitely seems more reasonable to me, especially in terms of size & reasonable possibilities for display.
I saved up half a year of allowances to get this set and when I finished it I had never felt so proud. My parents agreed we should put it near the front door and evrrytime someone new walks in they're always wowed by it. I'm a huge Lego fan and a huge titanic fan as well and this set was just something I felt I had to get no matter what
I love my Titanic. I build her during Christmas days with my wife. It was a beautiful time. I own some UCS sets, but the titanic is the one model I like to see every day. (Sorry for my English)
@@Nathan-is7li for her time she was the largest though, however even then a few months after she was lost the Germans launched a new liner almost 100 ft longer and 8,000 tons heavier. kinda a sobering thought if you think about it.
Sincerest Congratulations to Jang for finally finishing this review! These reviews take hours upon hours to make happen, and that's with regularly sized sets. Thank you for always delivering top-quality content, no matter how long it takes. Appreciate you, Jang!
They could’ve made this 5000 pieces and it would still look impressively large and still be very accurate. I’ll never own this but fair play to Lego, what a brilliant set.
Yeah i wish they would do more of these sorts of sets instead of idiotic movie and TV based nonsense sets. This reminds me of the ocean liners and battle ships i used to build as a child from Lego only incredibly detailed and colour coordinated lol
Good timing Jang as this month will mark 110 years of the ships tragic sinking. I''ve been interested in this particular sinking since its centenary in 2012 which I believe was the best time to get interested in this topic.
What intrigues me to buy the Lego Titanic is that when somebody gives a fan review, I sense his/her professionalism on how to review a product and lay out the honest feedback whether it is positive or negative. To me, I have bought almost all of my Lego sets because JANG provides excellent reviews regardless which Lego theme it is. Great review, Jang.
22:22 I totally agree with you. What you might have forgotten is, that a Fan of the Ship, with a desire to get a perfect looking and on scale model, there might be better and cheaper versions, but this may very well be the only one he is abled to build on his own. Glue and paint needs a lot of extra tools and practise. Many people i know can eigther build Cobi ships, or none (Revell etc.) ... so they have to live with the "bricky" look, but at least they made the model themselfes. Very nice review, thanks a lot.
This actually was the first Lego set that I built as an adult. I loved building it and it got me back in Lego after 40 plus years. I questioned whether I could justify spending $630 for it, but I’m glad that I did. I also particularly loved how they created the benches. Great review as always. I appreciate that you provide realistic reviews.
I have seen the Titanic on display in the LEGO Store, next to the UCS AT-AT and I own the UCS Falcon, but even if they'd all cost the same, the Titanic is an absolute beauty that makes every UCS set look like a 4+ one. I think it's one of the best display/adult sets of all time.
Very cool I like that you pointed out the 2x2 sloped grill piece for purposes of lego nostalgia as it brought back memories of the sonar transmitting cruiser, where the same part is actually placed in a similar location on the ship itself. Rock on & thanks 🙌
Aside from the spot where you can easily see the tan behind the dark red hull, and the blue pins, I think this is as well designed and made as it possibly could have been. I also think there’s not a whole lot to be said about the price tag. Expensive? Absolutely. Overpriced? Probably. But for someone who can spend that much on a Lego set, it likely doesn’t matter - and only then should you spend that much.
Actually I don’t think it’s overpriced. The price per piece ratio ends up being roughly $0.06. That’s pretty awesome if you think about it. But I agree, phenomenal model. Crossing my fingers I’ll get it someday!
It’s really spectacular to see this. I’m really glad to see your review. The removable engines with working pistons is probably my favorite thing, it seems like a wonderful surprise
This will go down as one of the most iconic Lego sets in history. I’m looking forward to the day I walk out of the Lego store with one for myself. Thanks for the detailed and entertaining review as always, Jang!
Looking at this set from a Lego Star Wars perspective, you really appreciate how smooth the sides of the Titanic are when comparing it to the Star Destroyer and SSD. Yes those ships have a lot of greebling on the actual movie models but also have large amount of space filled with flat tile spaces and I wish the Lego Counterparts could look as smooth as the Lego Titanic does.
great review as always! I’m kinda disappointed you don’t get as many views on this channel as you used to years ago, but I’m glad to see your reviews are as top-of-the-line as they always have been
Thank you for the support! Lower views is because this is a relatively new channel, less than a year old! The old Jangbricks channel still exists, but was devastated by a series of RUclips changes I had no control over, so I've kind of had to start from scratch. So far so good though 👍
This is an amazing set. I wouldn't expect complete accuracy since it is Lego and limited to the pieces they have available. I think they did an incredible job on this set and it's a sight to behold once it's built.
My mom and dad got me this almost a month ago for my 17th birthday. This is probably the best gift I’ve ever gotten! This set is definitely a dream come true as both a LEGO fan and a mild Titanic enthusiast!
Great video. While I’m really only a SW Lego collector, I did build this set with my father. Without a doubt, this build has been my favorite official LEGO set ever. SO much fun!
I love this so much! I’m 15 years old and when I was around 10/11 years old I was OBSESSED with the history of the titanic, I loved it so much I designed my own Lego model of it because at the time Lego didn’t, although I don’t really use Lego as much as I used to anymore I still think they did an amazing job
Totally mind-blowing! This is not a set for everyone, not just for the price, but also the hassle on where to display such a ship afterwards, still, this is way amazing to see in person, I'm sure! I saw years ago a wooden model at a museum, it was very detailed and much bigger than this Lego set, it really was an impressive ship for its time, thanks for the review, Jang!
You sent me down a really interesting rabbit hole with the 3 vs 4 propeller blade thing, it was fun to learn about. I think this model ends up being more accurate for that 3 blade propeller. Great video, thanks.
Been waiting for this one! Jang is by far my favorite Lego reviewer and seeing him look over sets gives me most of the joy buying it would. Keep up the great work! Saving this one for when I eat tonight!
Watching it now and I now remember watching a Titanic review when it first came out with a friend and saying I LOOOVED the benches. So happy to see jang confirm my biases.
This was a day 1 buy for me when the Titanic was announced. I remember back about 10-15 years ago I was obsessed about learning about the Titanic in school and hoped to one day build my own out of Lego. I knew about this rumored set since January 2021 and for it to finally be here is just amazing. Lego did a fantastic job on this model.
What an awesome set! The detail really blows me away, and the benches are so cool! It's really encouraging to see Lego continue to get more detailed and creative with piece use, and for some reason it really struck me with this set that (in terms of design) Lego just keep getting better over the decades. Thanks for the review Jang, well worth the wait!💜
My biggest complaint about this set is the fact that you can't really display this anywhere. Unless you put it on your dinner table, but that's not ideal.
It's an impressive build, but I couldn't leave well enough alone. My Titanic has been completely revamped including fixing the hull shape/details of the bow. My list of "corrections" is too long but I'm pretty proud to say that I made an exceptional model even more exceptional! 😎
Thanks Jang, I'm glad you did this review. I always enjoy your insight on these models. Although, I don't have the space right now to place this model. I have added it to my must have list. I value your opinion. Thanks again for doing this review.
Probably will never own this, but would still love to build/display it somewhere. Impressively built from about every angle, and has an enormous wow factor in how large/detailed it is. Subjectively speaking I'd get this over any and all UCS Star Wars set any day. Also first I've seen mention of the line tensioner in the rear. Really cool technical detail.
I really enjoyed your review. And agree with what you have said. I brought Titanic in England (day it was released) And enjoy it for was it is. What I really wish they had done is give us yellow bricks to represent the lights behind the windows on the side of the ship.
We've seen a bunch on the production of lego pieces but Id love to see the people Lego employs to keep track and calculate production volume of specific pieces, like the zipline accessory. Or the 1x2 2slab high corner slope that they made 60trillion in sand green for the statue of liberty.
It truly is an incredible set and build. Its certainly a display piece that even a non-LEGO person gravitates too. A light kit added to it would be the final touch. Its just the 4 dark red slope of the bottom hull that start the stern and bow that kill me with that gap.
For something this big and expensive and coming from Lego, I was expecting it to be accurate to the actual ship. Even though it looks impressive once completed, it has so many flaws. To point out a few, the forepeak is too squared. Union Jack flag on the bow shouldn't be there. White Star Line flag is missing. The windows on the hull are positioned wrong. I wonder if Lego will do a V2, downsize it and make it more accurate.
There is two missing lifeboats in model (Collapsable ones), the first lifeboats need to be cutters (the over hang the sides) and the third pillar under the bridge. I'm adding them to complete me model :D
A beautiful set thats absolutely worth the price if you can afford it. Dwarfs the Academy Minicraft 1/350 scale model kit which is 30” itself and is on scale with Trumpter’s 1/200 kit, though thats for an entirely different market.
There are no known photographs of the Titanic fitted with the propellers with which it would go to sea. The famous photos that are often mislabeled for the sake of clicks when you & others do that one quick Google Images search for "titanic propellers" are in fact of the Olympic. If you're interested in the facts & evidence, I suggest further searching and reading articles such as www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/mystery-titanic-central-propeller.html www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/titanic-centre-propeller-new-evidence.html atlanticliners.com/white_star_home/titanic_home/titanic-faqs-the-propeller-blade-mysteries/ www.markchirnside.co.uk/TitanicThreeBladedCentrePropeller.html
It's obviously got some flaws, but I'm still impressed enough to seriously consider getting it. What I really want is some battleships at about this scale. Imagine how cool it would be to have maybe an Iowa, Warspite, Bismarck, and a Yamato. Mikasa would make a cool set too. As the last pre-dreadnought she's significant enough and the concrete that the actual ship is entombed in would make a perfect display stand that the ship could be lifted out of. Excuse my excessive enthusiasm. I've gotten myself a bit too excited at the thought of something that's probably not going to happen lol
I imagine part of the ownership experience would be making or buying a display case for it. The case would have to keep dust and UV light out too. That’s probably true of other large sets, but an extra expense either way.
I'm a hardcore Titaniac (clever I know) and rivet-counter. I have made the decision to not buy this for the sole reason you stated about the inaccuracies; they would drive me crazy. But anyone who likes the Titanic but isn't bothered by accuracy and can afford this should really pick it up. The one at my local lego store is enough for me just looking at it without owning it.
As of writing this comment I got the Lego titanic yesterday. And I’m very happy. Even though most 18+ sets don’t appeal to me. The RMS Titanic and the optimas prime are the only exception
You collect Gundams too!? I'm a massive fan of those, and seeing some of your shelf brought me more joy than I'd expected. It'd be awesome if you started a niche with Gundam reviews.
I love the titanic. The movie is one of my favorite movies of all time. This is the best lego set of all time and is absolutely gorgeous. While the price makes sense, I cannot justify spending that much money on this set, as I am a college student... However, lego pirates of the Caribbean pirate ships go for insane amounts of money. I sold my Queen Anne's Revenge and The Lonely Mountain, gaining the retail price of this set. I can justify it if I'm basically swapping this set I love for two sets I do not need anymore. Now the only problem is that this set has been out of stock for months... but I'll have it one day.
14:01 There are plenty of dry dock pictures online from when the Titanic was build. Since you talked about "Scientific Reasons/Questions" : Do you assume those are fake? (They clearly show a 4 bladed Prop in the middle btw.)

Just ordered one just over a week ago, im so anxious to get it but I bet they’re on back order pretty bad, they’ve been out of stock for a bit. Can’t wait
Wow! 630 dollar isn't bad considering I know some lego sets so into the thousands and I love myself a set with a high peice count, because I really like the more time consuming lego sets. It's a great positive past time activity and now that I'm older and don't get Legos as gifts and buy them myself I could definitely justify spending a paycheck on this. Official Legos sets have gotten way more expensive over the years I have noticed, I wish I still got them as gifts now haha!!
13:30 The central propeller has always had 4 blades. There are pictures of the Titanic on a dry dock showing four blades. Even building models show a four-bladed central propeller.

This is a nicely detailed model mate. I was very disappointed with The DeLorean for looking way too plastic when the real one is unpainted stainless steel but this looks remarkable.
The biggest inaccuracy is this Titanic being made of over 9000 pieces, however the real Titanic is two pieces.
Plus the thousands of pieces in the debries field around the wreck

It truly is an incredible set and build. Its certainly a display piece that even a non-LEGO person gravitates too. A light kit added to it would be the final touch. Its just the 4 dark red slope of the bottom hull that start the stern and bow that kill me with that gap.
What a glorious thumbnail!
So glad I started saving my money when I first heard the rumors, she's now sitting proudly above my TV and is absolutely glorious
There is two missing lifeboats in model (Collapsable ones), the first lifeboats need to be cutters (the over hang the sides) and the third pillar under the bridge. I'm adding them to complete me model :D
Love the review and noticed those gundam models. Awesome to see your other interests. 😱
Nice day to release the video.
A beautiful set thats absolutely worth the price if you can afford it. Dwarfs the Academy Minicraft 1/350 scale model kit which is 30” itself and is on scale with Trumpter’s 1/200 kit, though thats for an entirely different market.
I just looked up a picture of The Titanic Drydocked, the middle prop has 4 blades

Thank you for the great review!
Very amazing set, quite excited to see this.
thank you for the review!!
I am enjoying building this set, hopefully I will be able enjoy it completed for a while………
For a seriously missed opportunity: microfigs you can place in some locations. Two on the front? Maybe...
I imagine part of the ownership experience would be making or buying a display case for it.
The case would have to keep dust and UV light out too. That’s probably true of other large sets, but an extra expense either way.
Another true masterpiece by Mike Psiaki!
I must say I'm very thankful to Lego for creating something so intensely fitted to my weird little niche interests.
You should do a comparison between the Lego Titanic and the Cobi Titanic.
I feel like the only size comparison for the Titanic is the Saturn V Rocket. Even then, Titanic is 54 cm longer!
Set should have come with a few giant translucent blue ice pieces.

I wish I would've bought it before the price hike :(
Tracking Jang's gunpla journey in the background:
He appears to be going through a bit of a Zeon phase at the moment.
13:30 The central propeller has always had 4 blades. There are pictures of the Titanic on a dry dock showing four blades. Even building models show a four-bladed central propeller.

I had no idea it was so massive
You know it's a big set when it's powerlevel is over 9000
Does it come with an iceberg as well its not an authentic model without the iceberg
Alright UCS Iceberg when
