Travis Hunter's mistake is he is looking at football as a competition and not a small business capable of making him $150 million over the next 10 years. Playing both ways in the NFL is going to expose him to more chances of getting injured (Bo Jackson). Travis might be able to pull it off playing both ways, but he is substantially increasing his risk without substantially increasing his profitability over the long term.

As a fan and former Buff, I want to see Travis Hunter play the position that provides him the longest and most productive career he can have. He is a truly gifted young man and I look forward to watching this young man grow and develop. It's going to be fun to watch him! Hopefully in Denver.
You know what the problem is, people think they’ve seen something like Trav before so they are trying to force him into somebody else’s mold. Trav is special and different
I’m over 60 years old and tired of these old head gold jacket commentators making Nonsense takes on what they say about Hunter being a generational talent, which means that his abilities is once in a lifetime, then you proceeds talk as if you have seen this before. ??? Yes coach prime sent out an olive branch to Sherman making a butt of himself talking about a true generational talent and making a take on something that he haven’t seen in his lifetime. Coach prime knew Travis would make Sherman bad two days after he made it.😂😂😂 Sharpe you did the same thing by speaking on Lamar Jackson Negotiating his contract with an agent, which was unprecedented at the time and you felt that he should have an agent. Sharpe you was proven wrong by Lamar and his mother for speaking on things that you said was unprecedented. Unprecedented means it’s never been done before, not that it can’t be done. Lastly, only one billionaire in the NFL will have the say on how Travis Hunter is utilized in the NFL. Clearly you former NFL players and now commentators need to stop interfering in the negotiation strategy for Hunter to get more money in his future contract in the NFL. Now this is shameful 👀
I don’t think Travis can at the nfl level. Not on all snaps 💀💀. Sherm is right, he’s not like a polished Jamarr or Justin, or a polished Denzel ward and Jalen Ramsey. And if he somehow does I don’t think it’ll last very long. The physical hits he’s gonna take on offense then go on defense and take more hits. Longevity will also not do it especially as u get older. Right now as young as he is he think he Superman but like Calvin Johnson said, those hits will add up
Shohei Ohtani. 50hr 50 SB. He pitches and hits. A unicorn. No one else in MLB is doing that. Although he couldn’t pitch this year and his other numbers went up he is elite at both and does both full time. Stop limiting Travis Hunter. He can do what he wants and what the coaches allow…
So you're not going to mention the reason why Ohtani can't pitch this year? LoL Travis Hunter can only do what his body allows. Off the top of my head, there were about seven or eight elite receivers of the ball injured in the NFL through week three and you all expect him to play both sides. Good luck with that...
from a production and stamina standpoint it just makes more sense to be lean twords cb and have wr packages. He can still be productive with just of few plays of offense. it’s always easier to find elite wr than find elite corners
Shannon 100% right Travis is a fluent corner. He’s natural at the position and his instincts are 2nd to none. Travis isn’t a diverse route runner he’s just such an incredible athlete who finds a way to get open vs inferior athletes. There won’t be inferior athletes across from him in the NFL. And the whole money think is getting over exaggerated. Sure as a top wr in the nfl you can make 30-35 mil but he most likely wouldn’t be a top wr he would prbly blend in as an average wr and only make 10-15. But at corner you can make 25-30 which he will most likely be a top nfl cb considering how natural he is at the position.
Chad told Shannon a few weeks back, "Wide receiver is where the money is! If Travis Hunter is forced to choose between WR and DB, he will chose WR!" Charlie Ward played both basketball and football, he actually won the Heisman Trophy and STILL choose the NBA over the NFL, because of the longer career potential and of course, the MONEY!

It’s harder to find a top talented CB than a receiver, he’s not running routes like Plexico @ MSU or Olave @ OSU. He’s a better at corner talent can go HOF at CB position instead of WR
Correct. Wrs are everywhere. There's only a couple great corners

He can be a WR but I do think he gotta put in time with it to get his WR skills up to his DB level.

As a wr, travis will get paid. As a cb, hell be in Canton ohio. Whats he going to choose?

Travis Hunter's mistake is he is looking at football as a competition and not a small business capable of making him $150 million over the next 10 years. Playing both ways in the NFL is going to expose him to more chances of getting injured (Bo Jackson). Travis might be able to pull it off playing both ways, but he is substantially increasing his risk without substantially increasing his profitability over the long term.

LoL
Travis Hunter can only do what his body allows.
Shannon is going to be on his next shirt 😂
He just want clicks or he really hating
Shannon sounds crazy talking about forget the money....
If Travis Hunter is forced to choose between WR and DB, he will chose WR!"
Charlie Ward played both basketball and football, he actually won the Heisman Trophy and STILL choose the NBA over the NFL, because of the longer career potential and of course, the MONEY!
