I normally don’t like watching guides for bosses. But brother it’s 1:30 in the morning. I’ve been here for 3 hours. 50+ attempts. Fuck poison. Thank your for the video
I CURRENTLY have this same feeling. I have tried for HOURS/DAYs and finally gave in to googling the fight. Im happy I did because damn do I need to grind my levels a bit more 😅
if you equip the poison berries before you summon your mimic your mimic will use them and become immune. your mimic will use whatever is loaded up and ready to go when you summon it. i suggest leveling up your mimic for this fight and doing just that.
Well done. Methodical and skillful. Compared to a lot of "tips" videos where you can tell that it's 1 take out of 50 where the guy finally gets lucky and beats the boss after almost dying multiple times..lol
Dude I swear so many are like that or they have some rng hacks on to make the boss less aggressive or to exploitable shit ya know what I mean? Sekiro was strangely like that for a lot of streamers, all the bosses would do easily counterabke shit like constant spear thrusts so they could mikir counter and break posture easily meanwhile I have the boss go agro as fuck and wail my face in 😂
Dude your dodging skills are f****** on point. I suck at dodging in this game and rely on my shield with the barricade ash of war. I don't know how well that's going to go in this fight which is why I have avoided this fight so far. This was an awesome video man. You got my subscription.
I have platinumed that game and I still watch your guides. I used spirit ashes and a lot of trial and error to go through bosses. This is like learning how I could have done it all better. Awesome!
I'm not normally one to look into guides but after spending more time on this fight than I'm willing to admit... this video was exactly what I needed to guide me, literally. Thanks for the vid - You got a new subscriber in me :3
I've been struggling with this boss for nights. Not only did you explain how to avoid the poison but how to do this fight as a melee. And the tip to avoid the twinblade and wait for it to the change to the axe is perfect. Thank you so much!
I did it! Took me like 7-10 attempts. I started this video up and watched it about halfway and then went through the mist while still listening and I did it. Thank you sir. I appreciate you
I was struggling with this boss fight but managed to defeat those Gargoyles on the first attempt after watching this video. this approach works great. Thanks!
Dude. This video was amazing. You explained it VERY well and you did it melee without summons or other stuff. Fantastic video, this made me want to try it like this. Thank you so much.
i LOVE your style, instant fan. i really appreciate the perspective you provide and the real time demonstration. i haven't beaten the boss yet, but your guide gives me the confidence that it's just a matter of practice. i'm going to be coming to you for guides from here on out. thank you!!!!
Man I was trying to beat them for like 70 minutes and got it first try after watching this video. Only information I needed was not to fight twinblades. Deserved like
i was already doing, except build recommendation wise the same thing the video recommended, what the video suggested and the only thing I learned from the video or from the fight as i was doing it while watching, was to be more patient, and it worked wonders. Thanks!
This video was good to observe and learn the second ones attacks. I can beat the first one but don't get enough time with the second to really get their move sets. Thanks!
I 1-shot these bosses on my sorc, but definitely struggled trying out on my melee. Really appreciate the breakdown in this guide compared to many others I watched. Subscribed. Now I'm going to binge watch your playthrough videos 😅
Nha, i died atleast 40 times to them trying to bruteforce. 1 try running away until he pulls out the axe or does a light twinblade move and i deafeated him. Thanks for the tipp.
my first 80+ hour playthrough I ended on this boss. I realize now why it was so hard, I was hitting for like 170-250 damage with my spear. This dude is hitting for 730 on a good combo. Looking forward to trying to beat Elden Ring again when the DLC comes out, until then I have many other PS5 games to enjoy :)
Hi! I beat this boss at level 70 or so with a Grafted Blade Greatsword and Greatshield Soldier Ashes to take the heat off. Really recommend the Brass Shield or something that can give you some cover if you don't dodge successfully. Getting the first gargoyle down to half health isn't so hard, you've just got to be patient and land a hit after each attack. Then, clear some space quickly and then summon your ashes. Keep focus on your first gargoyle, and be patient to kill him. It's likely the ashes will die unless they're high levelled, so the trick is to stay far away from both and keep focus on the first one always. If the second one is out of view and you can hear noises, just start rolling to be sure. It's not an easy fight, but totally doable, your level will just dictate your survivability over time. It's also important to know, over 50% the poison is an AOE ring, under 50% it's basically a beam, so try to visualise when you see this happen and move out of the way, it's not worth losing HP to it ever.
I actually changed my flask-setup to have easier access turtle and crab snacks, while also being able to switch to poison pebbles and stuff. First boss i really didnt get way better at with more attempts.
Equip yourself with a good staff. Meteoric or Sellen’s leveled up a fair bit. Get lots of health, a golden halberd (+8), carry a health talisman, a strength talisman, maybe a poise talisman. Strength and poise in your flask. A good shield, maybe a jellyfish for the buff. Buff yourself with your flask, maybe a rune, and use a mimic. I then let my mimic fight while I spammed Great glinstone. Fight was over in 90s and was quite easy.

Playing my first playthrough of this game. No issues on any boss until I got to this... what a cancer fight for melee. These guys are jumping away from me any time I get close, and if I manage to find a sweet spot under one they spit poison. This has to be the worst fight for melee ever. I noticed they weren't flying much at all for you... so either they made this harder or I'm triggering them to do it some how.
most the bosses in this game have it on easy mode, they never stay still, always jumping around all over the screen, jump 78,000 yards away in .001s, ya, fight is waaaay too easy for them to win w/ all those hax
They can change it up. Sometimes they're aggressive, other times they take turns. The thing is, there is no rhyme or reason as to why they change it up. You can do the same exact thing and they'll change their behavior.
