    Salam dear Shaykh,
What do you say in regards to the Jungian archetypes? Is there a relationship between them and the Immutable Archetypes and/or the Platonic Forms?
    Barak Allah fikum

Wa alaykum salam, I don't believe Jungian archetypes exist, because I don't believe in his concept of the collective unconscious. One can still account for symbolic phenomena in many ways similar to those he is trying to explain , in terms of ʿālam al-mithāl instead of "Jungian archetypes" and the "collective unconscious",, but that is a long and complex story which we can't really get into in Facebook comments! I hope to write about it in the future, inshallah ta'ala.
