analog triggers and hall sensor sticks really need to be standard in whatever iteration of the retroid pocket comes next. thanks for your honest opinions on these games. i've played a fair bit of most of these on my rp3+ and completely agree that it can be an enjoyable experience. mmjr with custom settings has worked for nearly all them, but for some games i've needed to go with the lumince mmjr2 build.
@@thegamelounge659 hall sensor sticks use a magnetic field to determine the stick orientation. theoretically, they're more accurate and they don't develop stick drift. i swapped out the sticks on my rp3+ with retroid's hall sticks and i'd say there was an improvement, although i bought them more to have a set of spare sticks rather than to address a deficiency. the lack of analog triggers thought makes it frustrating when you have a game that otherwise plays well, but can't be played as intended (e.g., mario sunshine). unfortunately there's no way to add analog triggers without a board redesign. here's hoping that they're working on it.
Great post, thanks. The reason I ask is the sticks don’t feel right to me. I just made a video about N64 racers and the steering felt off. Some games I couldn’t make simple corners
Well the RPFlip gave us the analog triggers you wanted. We also got hall sensor sticks, albeit sliders because of the clamshell but I would guess any revisions or new systems going forward will have analog triggers and hall sticks.
Strange, I don’t see this at all. What version of Dolphin are you using? MMJR works well for me. Also make sure you have updated to the latest system firmware.
Im actually glad to hear that. Maybe I have some kind of setting wrong. I was using dolphin and dolphin for handheld. My system was updated tot he best of my knowledge butI'll check that now.@@thegamelounge659
Yes the standard dolphin that comes bundled isn’t as good. In fact the optimisation to the main dolphin build an the Play Store are probably better than the version they bundle with it
I use Dolphin MMJR. TechDweeb has a great video that I used for this video. You can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/D0dGx-vTCpI/видео.htmlsi=uU_eZwyY8sA9o4kC
You're talking about analog joysticks, buddy. The sticks are analog. The shoulder triggers are not analogue. They are just buttons. It's either button press or no button press.

I’m with you there. I don’t really like the sticks that much but have only really noticed this from playing a lot. What exactly are hall sensor sticks

Great video! Very pleasant commentary!
Thanks v much!
I get a lot of slowdown in twilight Princess. At the beginning when I have to grab Epona, it goes in slow motion. Is there a fix?

Good to know! I'll check it out now. If it runs Twilight Princess its worth buying.@@thegamelounge659
Lookup Tech Dweebs Dolphin MMJR setup guide for Retroid 3+. It’s really good
What settings do you use for twilight princess??

do you know if it can run custom robo
I like the shoulder buttons. A lot better than the RG505😊
Agree, they feel great. Just a shame not analog
Short answer: yes, but no.
Perfect summary 🤣
i am pretty sure the retroid pocket 3+ HAS analog triggers...so does the new "flip" version.
Sadly no, at least not this one. Haven’t checked the flip veraion
