Even though it is an auto dark helmet, there are still many times when holding a part with one hand and a stinger or gun in the other you want the helmet to drop.
Holding a constant fiction so the helmet drops when you want it to and not when you don't is very important especially to one who does more fitting as opposed to just welding all day.
I have some of the most expensive helmets available and their headgear fails in this area.
    How does this one do?

The price of lens covers for the a60 are outrageous and makes it not worth it is my review.

How is this helmet compared to the cheap $105 Lincoln that is available at Home Depot? I want to upgrade and this is one I want but I’m still on the fence about dropping that much money. I notice that my Lincoln someone pops out of the darkening area and I would get arc flash for a split second before it go back to dark.

Leaving my Optrel Helix Clt for a ESAB Sentinel A60. With my Optrel I couldn't keep a fixed shade while using a cutting torch. On automatic it would keep changing shades. Also the helmet will not stay up, only 3 months old. Finally the panoramic view sucks. Its like taking your finger and putting it up to your nose, and looking in between. Been welding for 32yrs. Optrel has been very disappointing.
