it is a nice helmet papr , and not that much more expensive over some of the no name brands out there and with Swedish roots like volvo it should vouch for safety. What I would like was it to come with some kind of instruction manual , only safety sheets are included - I still try to figure out if I did the belt assembly right and the small extra belt strap , is the for extra belly?
The helmet shell is more complicated to manufacture than the standard A60 shell due to the ducting and air control features. The air filter and blower components are built with high quality parts so that a welder using this system for 40+ hours a week can operate if for many years without issue. Additionally PAPR systems require additional government and safety certifications that also adds to the cost compared to a standard welding helmet.
