Ok, it lasts quite a while, maybe 10 hours of straight welding, (depending on how much splatter you get on it) I don't really know, I am on the end on my second one doing my tractor restoring and a new one is 7-8 dollars.
Sounds like you have a bad and or leaking pre-filter as it should not foul up that quickly during normal operation. Then again if you do use it for a ton of grinding then swapping to a cheaper ESAB P3 particulate filter that's around 300kr or a half mask respirator would be a far cheaper alternative to fouling your expensive combi filters, save those for actual welding as it is not meant for extensive grinding.
I also don't think it should fill up so quickly when I just cut a few pieces, go and weld and then grind a little .(It shouldn't en anything wrong with the pre-filter) I haven't grinded that much and I have decent ventilation. Yes, you can do that, but it will be a lot of switching between filters, It would be much better to have a system like for example kemppi has, that that you can have a gas filter and a separate particle filter that you can change when it gets full.
I am buying one of these, this week, thanks for the review!
I've always been tempted my only concern is how long that screen on the mask will last me👍
What screen do you mean?
@@CountryLifeinSweden-by7ui Sorry pal i mean the large protective outer screen.
