You know back when PS 2 was the W console, you didn't have to install any games, they were all on DVDs, most didn't require you to get any form of storage whatsoever. Now a days, even if you have the game installed and verified on your console, you still need to insert discs as a form of physical DRM and anything happens to it, you don't get to access your game. You can't complain about having to install games on PCs a defense for modern consoles lol.
I look at it this way. Even if I had a console I would still need a laptop I can do some work with and with a high quality, large enough screen and some processing power, to make using it comfortable. It was going to cost me around 1000 €. Buying a laptop with a dedicated graphics card cost me an additional 500 - 1000 €. Yes, for that price difference I could've bought a console, but I have the added benefit of being able to install mods, edit certain files and savegames (I had to do this a few times when certain events didn't trigger). I can show my games to my nephew easily when I visit him. And if I want to play on a big screen I can just plug in my Laptop using HDMI. There are still games I use a controler for, but I can also play genres that are considered more enjoyable with mouse and keyboard. My laptop is now 2,5 years old and I could play every game I wanted. Not on the highest graphics settings, but they still looked great and usually had a stable framerate. I can also play all the clasics I enjoy, even when they are 20 years old (Gothic, Heroes of Might and Magic,....). For me using a laptop is just about convenience and for my use profile it isn't really more expensive. At least when you consider the benefits. I'm not saying that buying a 2000 € laptop is something everyone can afford. But I personally would rather stick to older titles and buy a less expensive laptop than switch to console. I used to do this when I was a student and didn't have much money, so I'm speaking from experience.
The problem with how you guys argue about PC superiority is how you take All of the different kinds of PC gamers and act as if they're one person. Need to make the argument that consoles aren't good value? Reference the behavior of the guy that built a GTX 1060 shitbox with used parts that he haggled for on eBay. Need to make the argument that PCs have better performance? Reference the guy that spent 2k on his rig and is getting 8000 fps in counterstrike at 1080p Need to make the argument that PC has way better customization? Reference the guy that have 100+ mods installed for starfield and gets really nervous every time an update drops. Need to argue that PC can be just as simple as console?: reference the sociopath that boots his game up and just plays with default settings. All of these things can be true, but not simultaneously. I'm rocking a rx6800/5700x3d In order to make that thing better than my Xbox, I had to spend more money and fuss with it more than I've ever felt the need to on console. It's options vs convince.
Honestly Newegg made a 3 part series on how to build a pc. The first part is teaching you how to pick out parts that will work with each other like making sure the psu can power everything, making sure the mobo matches the cpu, a case that will fit all the shit in it, and what not. Part 2 is how to put all those parts you just bought together and get the PC running. Part 3 teaches you how to install drivers and a fresh install of windows. This part hasn't aged as well because Windows 10 can do almost all of this by itself once it gets installed onto the storage drive. I watched it when I was in 5th grade and managed to frankenstein 3 home computers into a decent gaming pc. Granted it didn't have a dedicated gpu but I mainly played WoW (wrath of the lich king era) and League at the time so I didn't really need one.
I have an old GTX850M laptop. Won't lie, I can't play some high-end games even with the lowest settings (mostly because AAA games has their hardware demands unreasonably high), but I still can play tons of games and I occasionally do. This piece of tech is a decade old (and was far from cutting edge even back then), but its gaming library keeps expanding with a growing pace, my Steam account alone has 200+ games with a rare exceptions of a games that being played less than dozen of hours, but outside of it and any other launcher I have an acces to any game that was ever released, even if it's not sold any more at all, I can have multiplayer at games that was discontinued long ago thanks to dedicated servers, not to mention whole libraries of console and arcade(!) games up to PS2 era (even reaching to Switch) are available as well. What comes to my user exclusive, alongside with my wireless keyboard and mouse I picked for my taste, I have an X360 controller that is actually much older, to the point its left thumb stick is half-worn by my finger (btw, props to Microsoft - that's the only issue the gamepad has after all those years), I have a second monitor (a bit larger one) to play games on it while having RUclips and text chats on another if I want (not because I'm bored by games, but because there are games that has no story to follow and doesn't require 100% of your attention), I can switch to my TV via HDMI or wireless any time I want (except I did it maybe couple of times, because I find myself more comfortable at the desk, but the option is there). The worst difficulty I faced while using that laptop is replacing thermal paste and occasional dust cleaning, which is not hard at all if you have your arms growing from your shoulders and enough brain power to follow step-by-step instructions. So even with a really old hardware, despite all the limitations it imposes, despite all the games I've played through the years, including on that particular setup, I still have so much games I want to get to eventually and the newer titles that I can't physically run are a fraction of them. And the best part is that if I bother to upgrade to something up-to-date, that will not only cover my needs for another decade or more, but I will still have all I had before available to me. Basically, when someone says console are better for gaming, they have PlayStation in mind and actually mean better to play the latest exclusives because they were told those are "bestest evar", therefore making them an elite gamers. Those people don't actually value games, they just want to be a part of what they think it's a big thing now.
I have a friend who has a GTX 1660 in his PC and even he would rather have that than a PS5 or Series X. As a PC main myself, i bought the Series S on launch day just to see what "next gen" is about, and my brother bought the series X, and i sold that thing the next day once i realized the foolish purchase. Even the series X is mid just a little more powerful than the series S but all in all, still just a glorified locked down , watered down gaming machine. Consoles are only ideal for having it secondary to you already having a PC.
Man I just bought a pre built entry level pc an my first gaming pc ever a few utube video on how to put things together only thing I switched out was the motherboard witch was faulty added a new aio pump added a new i5or i7 can’t remember witch one everything came up to $500 I took it to a pc shop near me he wanted a workers fee for $200 plus parts an labor cuz it wouldn’t boot wat so ever an didn’t know wat to do but soon as the pc guy told me his price I said nah I’ll figure out myself an figured it out took sum trial an error an finally I’m a pc guy I got both Xbox an a ps but prefer to play on my pc only thing I’m tryna figure out is these damn mods but all else my steam Library is racking up I’m glad I switched to pc so many games I got the option to play on my monitor or my tv its worth the investment u don’t have to have a technical iq jus to build a pc jus a little problem solving a little bit of research of wat components fit together that’s it once u get that pc running Man U will fill a sense of accomplishment like no other
I have been playing on pc since the age of 8 or so and also have an Xbox one X, after getting the console I immediately switched back to PC. I don’t want to pay extra to play online, what’s the point of buying the game then if I can’t play it online. I usually play GTA or red dead or something of that sort for around 4-8 hours straight sometimes and I have not experienced crashes, lags or anything of that sort on my laptop and mine is a mid range laptop
every time I see these arguments about PC vs Console, I am reminded of an argument I had with a co-worker while driving for FedEx We got to talking about gaming, and he was praising Sony in a way that, in hindsight, I think I heard a neigh in his ramblings (i.e. he was a total pony) I was not as knowledgeable at the time, but still tried to take the diplomatic route and say personal preference rules above all else. and when it came to m&k vs controller, I stand by that. he demanded me to name 1 thing M&K did better than controller my response was "aiming in an FPS" he paused for a second, as if he WANTED to rebuke it. to his credit, he admitted I was right, but then tried to move the goal post this was...early 2020, IIRC. the pandemic was in full swing, and lockdowns were in full effect but Trump was still president and the PS5 was not yet out
"cOnStAnTLy uPgRaDiNg": I upgraded my PC in 2022.. the GPU I sused before was released in 2015 and the CPU in 2017. Yeah.... I'm constantly busy with upgrading my hardware. 🤣🤣🤣
I cannot understand why people can choose to assume PC building is so difficult, or how buying a pre-built gaming PC so expensive. Here's a tip. Stop going to stores like Best Buy for a PC, research and look for lower prices. It's not difficult. Plus I built my first PC on my own in 2016. It was an AMD FX 6300 with 8GB of DDR3 and GTX 660. Wow that's old. Good times. That PC for the time still ran better than an Xbox One or PS4 and playing PS2 games and enjoying emulation was a cherry on top. Oh I used a PlayStation 4 controller and a TV. Would you imagine that?
Don't forget about Framerate lag as I call it where the frame rate gets to like 20 fps at most (more like 10 or less fps). I wouldn't call it input lag because everything runs at a crawling speed not just the part that reads inputs from the player. My laptop that has a RTX 2080 in it had this issue for a long time due to the gpu getting stuck at running at 210 Hrtz because it had a partially corrupted driver installed that infected every new driver update after it. I had to get a special program to completely remove the graphics driver and then reinstall it to fix it. It also did some weird shit like locking Elden ring at 2560x1080p even though my monitor supports up to 3440x1440p. Like legit I could tell it to run the game at 800x600 and it would still run the game at 2560x1080p despite the setting being set at 800x600. It was so weird one of the weirdest PC problems I've come across outside of my IT job.
I got my first PC before the creation of time and have used that because the alternative would be ... nothing. Everything was a PC back in the day. As a result, Im not using a consule because it has those dumb not keyboard things and that silly not mouse thing and I cant do PC stuff on it. Anyways, the "debate" is as useful as a lobotomy.
So I have question 🤔 how much it would cost me if what I looking for is a pc build (I have no experience to build one) that can give me 120fps with a least 1080p or 1440p of resolution?
If you throw in mini PCs that i am convinced would actually do well if most of them wasn't ugly than the pc wins again take the minisforum hx99g its not much more expensive than a console but can game surprisingly well and also has plenty of fast upgradable ram and ssd and a thunderbolt 4 port for egpus. In a small compact design
a while ago I noticed that a couple sites like GMG and Fanatical had a "coming soon" section for console games. I guess that shit got shut down EDIT: Did he even answer his own question?
This sound like a car commercial. How the hell do you find all these gems lol. Also, I'm both, once you go 1440p at 140+ fps, how can you go back to consoles?
@@kenshinhimura9387 I've hit over 180 fps with my 4090 before not often. Xbox and ps can't even hit 120 I dont understand how people still stay on console
15:49 you actually can, people have been modding Xboxes since the very beginning. Obviously not to the degree of a pc but, you can install an ssd and add some software mods to an Xbox One X to boost its performance a bit. Again: nowhere near what you can do with a pc but nevertheless lol
It should be consider that console gaming can get quite expensive as a 8k tv and a surround sound system could be consider to be part of a gaming setup.
"Pc gaming is only about fos and graphics." Me: plays Flight simulator X at 28fps😅 I have an old potato, and I'll never return to consoles, I mostly play old games, and I don't need to pay for any service to play them. I can keep my library without buying the games again (sony) .
honestly if there was a way to get around installations i would be a very happy bunny so i kinda agree its a "downside" but it is in no way big enough to say it sucks and is worse then console
I can play some super old games on pc and not care about the graphics. i own morrowind and oblivion, and in terms of gaming those are ancient, especially when you compare them to Skyrim XD For me, it's gameplay and story, not graphics that draw me to a game
This video is one of those ones where someone writes a script, then hires an edditor and voice actor to make the video. I think there is about a 20% chance that the Voice actor is just AI and the editor did it all for the guy that wrote the script, the reason why I am saying this, is because the script is written 100% by Ai. IT has all the repitition that people don't do in real life.
AI or not i have seen real people argue that controllers are a big plus for consoles, and i just don't understand how, i am a person that massively prefers controller and thank god i'm on PC because not only do i get the choice of any vaguely modern controller and m&kb, i also get steam's wonderful controller settings that are able to put Gyro support into games that don't natively support it (which is most of them for some reason) even on console and force you to control the camera in first person games with the fuckin stick when gyro is right there and works beautifully so if you actually prefer controllers like me the PC will still offer a much much better platform for you
Hard to think that what essentially is "adult legos" is this technical wizardy that is only for the super rich and or nerdy. ... ... You know what, console folks, sure. That's EXACTLY what this is. Im a tech wizard, and I will turn you into a toaster if you try gaming on PC. 😂
Just like Joe said, the consoles give a really consistent quality depending on how low your standards are. I mean you haven't played Dark Souls 3 unless you played it on hard mode by buying it for Xbox One....😂 My last console before going full time on PC. Bought a prebuilt with at 1060 and it was like night and day....😅 Sure I bought a switch a couple of years ago, but just to play Mario Kart, Lego games and Super Smash bros with my son.❤️ A really good console for him to train his motor skills since he has a small disability.❤️
Idk what PC you are playing on, but I am consistently above 100 fps sometimes even reaching 200 fps lol. Console is so outdated, it's beyond hilarious. The gap between PC and console was far smaller last gen compared to this gen.
@@AaronWOfficial Point of my comment was to compare frames. 1% low on PC is better than the best frames you get on consoles. Of course getting 100+ frames is normal for PC, what would be a reason to get 144 Hz monitor or higher otherwise. But some games drop to 60s while loading new area or something. In competitive titles I understand the need for more frames, but most of single player games are completely fine around 90-120 range. When they showed PS5 demo I knew there is something fishy, it looked too good. Later they revealed the demo is made in Unreal 5, which allows you to run amazing looking graphics basically on potato. So everything made sense. Consoles are underpowered cheap getaway to get people invested in the ecosystem and rely on Sony to provide overpriced bland games. Like Nintendo. And also 3700X paired with 2070 S.
@@_Just_John My PC never drops to 60's, in literally any circumstance. If this is happening to you, I fear you are being bottlenecked. 2070 S is still a great card today, definitely something funny going on there.

gaining pc knowledge is DAUNTING? i know its ai but someone watched this and posted it. its not like changing a gpu is different everytime, you put it in the same slot as the last one. got a new motherboard? you cpu doesnt go in a new slot, its the same spot on the last one. PRICE?! you can build a better machine for less than a console. my pc was 650 and beats new gen. even periphrials / accessories CAN be cheaper. i can get a 1TB nvme ssd for my pc for 40-50$ and it will be pcie 4.0 sony's is well over 100$.

Idk why, but I love the simplicity of no background music when it comes with video reactions, while hearing the keyboard buttons lol

I built my first pc without instructions like i do for everything except Lego sets. Puting a pc together instant the hardest thing in the world.
We're at a point in time where humans are doing reaction videos to ai generated slop
The only time games crash for me is if they're heavily modded.
The video looks and sounds like it was uploaded in the 90s.
Just started the video, and there's no way the video you're responding to isn't AI generated slop.
I promise, not only the voice but the script is also AI generated. I have no way of proving that but I promise that's the case
Reference the guy that spent 2k on his rig and is getting 8000 fps in counterstrike at 1080p
Need to make the argument that PC has way better customization? Reference the guy that have 100+ mods installed for starfield and gets really nervous every time an update drops.
Need to argue that PC can be just as simple as console?: reference the sociopath that boots his game up and just plays with default settings.
All of these things can be true, but not simultaneously.
I'm rocking a rx6800/5700x3d
In order to make that thing better than my Xbox, I had to spend more money and fuss with it more than I've ever felt the need to on console.
23:15 looks like Kratos is talking about PCs lol
ZEUS, YOUR SON HAS UPGRADED HIS GPU!
Why does it feel like a computer is talking to me? Is defo not text to speech, but theres something wrong with the voice..
You can tell a voice is AI when the cadence sounds static and a bit off
I have an old GTX850M laptop.
The stock footage of people playing is worse than porn actors pretending fixing things or something.
If PC gaming sucks because of "game installations", then the entirety of gaming sucks lol.
18:43 I got a CDkeys ad after you brought this up

I thought this man was about to sell me a Ford lmao
I have been playing on pc since the age of 8 or so and also have an Xbox one X, after getting the console I immediately switched back to PC. I don’t want to pay extra to play online, what’s the point of buying the game then if I can’t play it online. I usually play GTA or red dead or something of that sort for around 4-8 hours straight sometimes and I have not experienced crashes, lags or anything of that sort on my laptop and mine is a mid range laptop
every time I see these arguments about PC vs Console, I am reminded of an argument I had with a co-worker while driving for FedEx
We got to talking about gaming, and he was praising Sony in a way that, in hindsight, I think I heard a neigh in his ramblings (i.e. he was a total pony)
I was not as knowledgeable at the time, but still tried to take the diplomatic route and say personal preference rules above all else.
and when it came to m&k vs controller, I stand by that. he demanded me to name 1 thing M&K did better than controller
my response was "aiming in an FPS"
he paused for a second, as if he WANTED to rebuke it. to his credit, he admitted I was right, but then tried to move the goal post
this was...early 2020, IIRC. the pandemic was in full swing, and lockdowns were in full effect
but Trump was still president and the PS5 was not yet out
Too bad there's way more to FPS than aiming these days.
PS5 - drops to 20 fps in act 3 on baldur's gate 3
PC - runs consistently over 100 fps
Also PS5 - You have to install your games as well
Why did it sound like the music was recorded through the same mic that his voice was recorded on?
It sounded equally as muffled as his voice lol
PCs are the Victorinox SWISS CHAMP XXL of swiss army knives lol
0:38 Eh, I prefer the 4,4,2 method:
4 on the trigger and bumpers
4 on the back
Thumbs on the sticks
25:32 I crave the convenience and simplicity of my Steam Deck
I have a fairly ok mid range card that can handle higher resolution, but I still only use a 1080p monitor to just go ultra at that resolution.
As someone who DID read Nick Magazine in 2004.....yes, yes it does sound like it would fit in there.
I got my first PC before the creation of time and have used that because the alternative would be ... nothing. Everything was a PC back in the day. As a result, Im not using a consule because it has those dumb not keyboard things and that silly not mouse thing and I cant do PC stuff on it. Anyways, the "debate" is as useful as a lobotomy.
it was THRILLLING it tickled the COCKLES of my heart
So I have question 🤔 how much it would cost me if what I looking for is a pc build (I have no experience to build one) that can give me 120fps with a least 1080p or 1440p of resolution?
All depends on the target game, and low to ultra settings.
Built my Daughters for £1000
Sons was £1500 ( he plays mainly AAA)
You can match the series x or ps5 performance for the same price. Including a windows key, keyboard, mouse, controller and headset
I guess that shit got shut down
EDIT: Did he even answer his own question?
I learned how to install Windows 98 and mount new parts on Pentium 1 when i was 12.
I strapped on my gamer strap on for this one
did he say strap in or strap on?
This guys video convinced me to Build a 4th pc 😊
This sound like a car commercial. How the hell do you find all these gems lol. Also, I'm both, once you go 1440p at 140+ fps, how can you go back to consoles?
You can't ever go back after experiencing 144fps.
@@kenshinhimura9387 I've hit over 180 fps with my 4090 before not often. Xbox and ps can't even hit 120 I dont understand how people still stay on console

@eggi.2108 what if you are hypothetically getting games to emulate
15:49 you actually can, people have been modding Xboxes since the very beginning. Obviously not to the degree of a pc but, you can install an ssd and add some software mods to an Xbox One X to boost its performance a bit.
Again: nowhere near what you can do with a pc but nevertheless lol
I didn't even know you can mod an Xbox One X. I modded my OG Xbox and I know Xbox 360 can be modded but I didn't know about Xbox One./Xbox One X.
Can't believe PC gamers are called graphic snobs when console players constantly brag about movie games
We aren't graphics snobs. We definitely are performance snobs though. We will always flex our high fps on the trash fps of consoles.

@@masterlee1988 when you experience that 144 or higher fps for long enough it is very hard to go back to 60 fps lol
It should be consider that console gaming can get quite expensive as a 8k tv and a surround sound system could be consider to be part of a gaming setup.
Why would you get an 8k tv for consoles that most of the time can't even hit 4k?
No system on the planet can run games at 8k. They don't even make any 8k content, TV shows or movies.

Excuse me sir but consoles still need up keep too. Unless you want you PS5 or Xbox looking like it has its own ghilie suit. Bravo 6 going blue screen.
What console gamers know if they never had to load their game in God damn floppys.
"Pc gaming is only about fos and graphics."

I have an old potato, and I'll never return to consoles, I mostly play old games, and I don't need to pay for any service to play them. I can keep my library without buying the games again (sony) .
honestly if there was a way to get around installations i would be a very happy bunny so i kinda agree its a "downside" but it is in no way big enough to say it sucks and is worse then console
It has a solution but you might not like it: Streaming. That's how it works with Geforce Now.
Bro's arguing against an AI 😂
I can play some super old games on pc and not care about the graphics. i own morrowind and oblivion, and in terms of gaming those are ancient, especially when you compare them to Skyrim XD
For me, it's gameplay and story, not graphics that draw me to a game
This video is one of those ones where someone writes a script, then hires an edditor and voice actor to make the video. I think there is about a 20% chance that the Voice actor is just AI and the editor did it all for the guy that wrote the script, the reason why I am saying this, is because the script is written 100% by Ai. IT has all the repitition that people don't do in real life.
why do i have the feeling this guy has not looked into pc parts
AI or not i have seen real people argue that controllers are a big plus for consoles, and i just don't understand how, i am a person that massively prefers controller and thank god i'm on PC because not only do i get the choice of any vaguely modern controller and m&kb, i also get steam's wonderful controller settings that are able to put Gyro support into games that don't natively support it (which is most of them for some reason) even on console and force you to control the camera in first person games with the fuckin stick when gyro is right there and works beautifully so if you actually prefer controllers like me the PC will still offer a much much better platform for you
About the porting part. Except some exceptions like Nintendo games. They'll never get officially ported to PC, only cam be emulated.
I'm sliding into this video.
Hard to think that what essentially is "adult legos" is this technical wizardy that is only for the super rich and or nerdy.

Just like Joe said, the consoles give a really consistent quality depending on how low your standards are.
I mean you haven't played Dark Souls 3 unless you played it on hard mode by buying it for Xbox One....😂 My last console before going full time on PC. Bought a prebuilt with at 1060 and it was like night and day....😅
Sure I bought a switch a couple of years ago, but just to play Mario Kart, Lego games and Super Smash bros with my son.❤️ A really good console for him to train his motor skills since he has a small disability.❤️
"Stable gaming experience on console" - Goes between 30-60 FPS.
PC experience - Occasionally drops down to 60s.
And also 3700X paired with 2070 S.

gaining pc knowledge is DAUNTING? i know its ai but someone watched this and posted it. its not like changing a gpu is different everytime, you put it in the same slot as the last one. got a new motherboard? you cpu doesnt go in a new slot, its the same spot on the last one. PRICE?! you can build a better machine for less than a console. my pc was 650 and beats new gen. even periphrials / accessories CAN be cheaper. i can get a 1TB nvme ssd for my pc for 40-50$ and it will be pcie 4.0 sony's is well over 100$.
Apparently the PS5 dropping to 720P is good optimization to this guy lmao.
Console gamers don't even know what optimization means. They think a 60 fps cap is optimization (not joking, they actually do)
