I am so very glad Jim told the story about how he got that '59 Tele. In other interviews he has mentioned that it was given to him but he didn't give the back story.
I really enjoyed this interview. I've only just gotten into Jim's music and have been really digging his interviews too. Thank you for posting this and for asking such insightful questions. I may have missed it because I listened to this in a couple of sittings but where did he talk about sobriety?
Hear Pal Here - it was quite some time ago we did this interview, but if I remember, it was in the 2nd half of the interview. Sorry I know that's a wide space, but that's the best I can recall. We've done over 550 interviews since then, lol I'm lucky I remember my own name some days. Thank you for listening 🎉🔥😇 subscribe: elg.fun/subscribe
I had the same question. I just listened to the entire thing and didn't anything about sobriety or even 'the Jim club" for that matter. Good interview though.
@@EveryoneLovesGuitar thanks for replying. I listened to the whole thing and didn't catch it. It was so good I'll wait a week or two and listen again...

Few guitar players develop a voice that is truly their own - Jim has managed to do that. Unique and terrific player.
Thanks David, totally agree...
Man, I think it's so cool that Mr. Campilongo listened to Hound Dog Taylor! So cool!
Glad you enjoyed the interview @UncleDansVintageVinyl, and thanks for listening 💥 🎶 🎸 !

The title of this video doesn’t make any sense so I wonder where the rest is but it’s great listening anyway.
At one point, Jim's talking about he's a loyal friend. "Once you're in the Jim club, you're a member forever." Thanks and glad you enjoyed this Bill!
EveryoneLovesGuitar I did catch that part where he was saying he’s supportive and not critical of his friends.
good interview …..guy lets jim talk...not interrupting him every 2 min.
Thanks for your kind words and thanks for listening 🎸🎼🙂
1997 loose....21 years...lol
yeah use pedals jim….I played a long time w/o pedals. now I like a few pedals...more..
Really good interview, thank you Jim for responding so fully and candidly.
Glad you enjoyed it
Could you tell me roughly at what point he talks about sobriety?
@Nudie, this was quite some time ago but I can say with confidence it was in the second half of the interview. Thx for listening...

@@nudiemusic It's not in there. Probably somewhere in the cutting room floor.
