How could anyone get bored watching these videos? I must confess that I did'nt know your playing was so "unique" plus the Instruments you use are almost a mirror image of what I use, a Guitar for every situation on standby. I found the best Fender made neck on a new Esquire Guitar from 2020, thick U shape it says and it weighs 6.3 lbs and rings like a steam train bell! Thanks for the vid. Love that Gibson ES sunburst!!
Whoa! Must have seen you play close to 50 times from the late 90s to the late aughts...always with a Tele. So cool to see your love for these other guitars.
A modest collection is the best. You know each guitar intimately and are happy with what you have! Hope to see you play someday when the plague is gone. We share the same birthday but you’re a year ahead of me. Love your videos!
Loved that, Jim, especially the 225. I was exceedingly fortunate that a friend gifted me his old guitars back in the eighties, including a ‘57 Tele and a ‘59 225. I play one or both both nearly every day. The 225 still has the original wraparound steel bridge and I’ve often thought of have it replaced with one that can be intonated but it just looks so cool as it is.
I love that Bigsby clone! I got the chance to play Merle Travis' old D28 with the Bigsby neck once when I was a kid. Ever since I've been jonesing for a Bigsby style solid body! I'm so glad to see a player as good as you has such a wonder taste in guitars!

That was great Jim. I am ashamed to admit it, it took your interview with Justin Sandercoe [about 10 years ago] to find you. Every time I hear you play, I miss NY. Be well.
I had the same problem with the first and six strings on my 55 Tele using a 0.9 set. This was not only for the narrow fretboard or its rolled edges, the floppy tension on these strings contributed to the pull off if you don’t take care. A set of 9.5-44 helps a little, or 10-46 (but this is stiffer on a Tele)
Hi Jim. I'm the dude that invited you 1,5 years ago to play on FUERTEVENTURA for my wedding. That will happen next year. I'll contact you about it again. Great guitars! I'm might add, get a FLAMENCO BLANCO GUITAR. like a nylon acoustic guitar but much more in your face. Raise the action a little and you can play anything on it. I migh look for a Duo now and please tell us more about the es-225. Thanks and KEEP GOING. Dreipolar akailak Monoke aka Florian from Berlin.
I can't believe that Duo Sonic goes for that price. My mom purchased a Duo Sonic (sunburst) with a brown tolex Fender with a 12 inch speaker, tremolo, no reverb for two hundred dollars in 1964. My so-called "friends " asked to "borrow " them and never returned them.

I don’t think I could even lean that guitar against an amp, I’d lay it in its case or just sit with it in my lap, great video sir
