Screw Watchdives. I bought the tudor style pepsi gmt san martin from them. Came in the old box, which San Martin had switched to the plactic cylinder, and then the leatherish looking cylinder at that point. That wasn't the worst part....The bezel was NOT aligned. I complained and showed them pictures, and they said send it back. Didn't even offer a replacement. AND THEN CHARGED ME A RESTOCK FEE!
I got that particular watch from Amazon, for about the same price on the Watchdives storefront. Amazon is the way to go with these brands in my opinion.
It’s another winner for sure. I do wish they offered a three hand version of this watch in a bit more traditional colors. Although if they don’t, the GMT versions of this watch are awesome also. Thanks for the great review!
Not too many haters, YET. I am sure they will turn up. It is amazing they have nothing more important to do than watch SM reviews and then slam them. Personally, I have the first of these (aqua color) and it is a very nice watch. Comfortable to wear. NH35 movement that if the snobs were reviewing a different brand, they would be cheering the value of the movement. Keep on doing you. I like your honest approach. Sometimes the vids get a little long and brevity can be your friend. My ADHD takes over after so long. LOL
I'm wearing my blue sn0116 and two years on it is a fantastic watch. The only watch I have never taken off the bracelet which says a lot! Thanks for reviewing.
I bought the BoR bracelet this comes on for my Baltany 1921. Absolutely fantastic quality and transforms the 1921 into something very sporty and Summer-ready.
If I had a Swiss watch of similar quality it would not be my daily watch. But I can wear a SM all the time. Looks good, feels great, and no worries. I bought 4 and I love them all.
If I had not just ordered a Horizon Nemo in pistachio , I would be all over this purple SM Maybe in the Sale but I do wish the hands were a bit thicker or is it perfectly legible ?

As you may recall, I rushed to buy my last colourful SM recommended by you as the video was playing! These are similar spec except no strap option making them 40% more expensive for me, at USD $ 280. I love the green/yellow and just made my own version from parts in my bins.
After seeing your review of the San Martin SN0118, I ended up getting the mint chocolate chip one (my first SM). I was very impressed with the quality. So, I ordered the green one of the watch in this review, for snorkeling on an upcoming vacation, but I was agonizing over whether to go with green or purple. But my swimsuits have more green in them. I will say pay the extra few bucks to buy it directly from the official San Martin store, because this time I used a different seller because it was about $6 cheaper and the order got cancelled and reshipped about three weeks after purchase. So, still hasn't arrived. I didn't have this issue with the official San Martin store. I also have the red textured dial SN0129 ordered. So, looking forward to that. Hopefully, SM continues with these original designs. They've been knocking it out of the park.
Obvious it is an original design & very well finished. Superb quality based on your close up video. Lastly, it is high time that San Martin should look at alternative good movement instead of the usual NH35. It is everywhere. 🎉

One of the best San Martin watches and an original design. I like all the colours but the Avocado works best due to the green seconds hand and tone of the chapter ring
Yeah it's too much and is keeping my $ in my pocket too. Those BB homages are hard to look at with that big block under the 12 and the big snowflake hand.
Please (!), never buy a watch without actually feeling drawn towards it and liking it yourself. In my experience, this is THE number 1 most important thing in this hobby. Buy what you like, no matter what someone else says or thinks about it. This comes with experience, of course, and may change over time. But one thing is certain, that watch you bought because YOU liked it, will be the one you actually use. Not the hype/fomo watch…
I like the avocado green. But the price! I can't do it for a Chinese watch, even if it is the best Chinese watch. For these prices I would just get a grey market Hamilton or Tissot.
So does it run slow like every SM Seiko I have which for what they charge is poor......? Even charge another $5 and regulate your movements properly San Martin.
Great watches except for the watchbands which are usually hobbit sized, and do not fit, and ordering extra links for the bands??? Forget about that.. A friend helped me out, he had some spare links.. I have the San Martin SN0107-G1 2023 V2 Ranger, great watch, looks great, and did not fit... Work on your customer services San Martin!
I'm subscribed a few years to this channel, never seen so many reviews of the same brand (I do like SM). Have to admit that the consistent amount of reviews of the same brand just starts to wear off and gives the channel a biased aroma.
Try and tell Russ at MWC, he's still got the blinkers on Gary, I'd be up for one of those but my new Merkur vintage diver is also pretty awesome, running at plus 2 seconds a day out the box, well worth a look.
I don't think to just acknowledge some great specs, value and build quality in a watch as a watch reviewer would be selling your soul, more like snobbery if you choose to ignore one for what it is.
@@rodiow369 I don't think Russ has ever said they aren't good "value", specs and build quality. He just values different things like history, design and originality, which these brands don't really give; so he's got no reason to brown nose San Martin... Especially if he's not getting commission!
Someone has to start making a purple FKM rubber strap. Heck, I'll take a purple silicon rubber strap! I had to turn away purple dial watches because I don't have rubber straps that match in colour.
I'm going to be the Judas here and say it is a bit meh. It is very similar to the Spinnaker watches at the moment without the flair. It might be finished well but I find the dial a little underwhelming.
IMO, not a great way to spend someone's hard earned money. They're nice value (I guess) until you buy several and end up with a thousand dollars put into them. No one will buy them from you and they will inevitably break and just go in the trash.

If you are however looking for an investment piece or are a flipper I agree with you. 2) I have three San Martins and have had ZERO issues with them. Not exactly going to easily and quickly break (that movement is pretty established and robust) and if they have a NH35 movement very easy to purchase and have it swapped out if there is an issue🎉.
So 1) either don't watch any RUclipsrs 2) watch those promoting the watches you want or 3) watch multiple youtubers to get multiple opinions. Also do your own research and finally just buy what you like and can afford. Easy peasy ...
There's this trend at SM for producing 'Dive Watches' at less than 40mm. When are they going to start doing some men sized 43mm's. I only know a few female divers!
Looks like they finally gave up on that awful ridge-bead bracelet. This looks so much nicer. Now if they can only make one in black.... All of these colors are very ugly.

I received the rainbow version a few days ago. Love the bracelet and sapphire bezel. Just wish it was 1-2mm bigger.

I generally prefer flat matt bezel inserts but this one is nice n narrow and i think the dial, chapter ring n second hand colour combination is great❤
